The people from the other part of southern Nigeria has so dealth with Ijaw people eh... They frustrated the first ever Ijaw president Jonathan out of power with 'coordinated opposition'. Today they have frustrated the first ever Ijaw governor of present Rivers state out of power.
But in the midst of all these, guess which tribe Ijaw hates the most in Southern Nigeria...

It should not depend on how honest employees are. In Qatar, I know an Indian HR who left workers in the payroll long after they were sacked and was cashing the cheques until he was caught |

The same company will pay a Nigerian construction supervisor 100k a month and pay his Indian counterpart 800k a month plus accommodation and transport then turn around and act outraged when Nigerian guy steals cement. |

Ruke1989: The government carries all the blames for being inept, outdated and out of touch with what obtains in other countries. Both the executive and legislative arms are to blame.
Other countries force companies to employ locally by putting regulations to that effect in place. That's why Canada issues LMIA and UK has COS to companies before they are allowed to bring in workers from abroad. The govt over there set up agency to scrutinize companies before giving them such certificates and penalties any company that violates it. You cannot get a job in Canada from outside Canada except you have a skill that no one in Canada has or no one in Canada who has the skill showed interest in that role after 3 months advert - this is the regulation put in place by Canadian government and implemented by Canadian agencies.
The issue is that our politicians are too local and busy playing Igbo Vs Yoruba, Christian Vs Muslim politics that they don't have time to read, think or implement what other countries have implemented which benefit their citizens. As long as Nigeria doesn't require companies to have a certificate of sponsorship before bringing anyone from abroad and there are no stringent laws put in place by the sick national assembly, companies will keep going abroad to employ staff and even pay them higher than Nigerians.
Do you know the law in Dubai makes it mandatory for companies to pay Dubai citizens the highest, followed by Europeans, then the lowest goes to Africans and Asians for any given job role. You people don't know the power of law making and execution agencies that's why you expect people to behave well where there is no law in place I agree |

Sincerely our attitude towards work is nothing to write home about. I have not been to Oyinbo country before but from their movies, facebook or other social media you will know how committed they are to their work.
Many of us are not committed to our work, you will be hearing words like " I cannot kill myself jare " " You too carry work for head " and other funny words. We are committed. Are we not the same people overseas studying and working, overworking ourselves? We just have low national esteem |

Greenlandz: All blames goes to federal government. If they had provide jobs for the masses all these nonsense wouldn't have happened I blame the government yes but not for the reasons you have said. Government do not provide jobs. Private sector does. Government's role is to create the macro and micro economics that can stimulate growth. I blame the government however for granting work visas to foreign workers without asking the employing companies why it must be a foreigner. Why not a Nigerian |

A country of around 200 million with high unemployment rate curiously has a lot of Asians and Arabs working in strategic companies. My flight with Air peace the other day was filled with foreign crew members and flight attendants. As in they couldn't hire exclusively local flight attendants? I also hear Dangote is filled with Indians. This is sad. We have a ministry of Labor that has not done anything else other than negotiate poor minimum wages for striking unions. A ministry of labour that cannot reform the rules around hiring foreign workers because the minister of Labor is busy looting funds meant for his ministry.
Asians and whites see us as fools and we prove them right any chance we get |

You cannot put Yoruba on the same level as other languages in ala Yoruba, same in al'igbo, you cannot put igbo in the same level as other languages. hausa is taught in some Enugu schools where a teacher is available. Children should be able to choose which language to write in waec not the one forced on them because of parochial interests and stupid ethnicism. Igbo is taught in schools in Abuja and kano. Yorubas are setting a lot of bad precedents in this country. Will there be a time yorubas will start setting good precedents? |

DonPappyKool: This is my true story and it is something I still can't forget till today which is about 10 years ago.
I am from the south south and I met this lovely girl from south east back in school. We were so much in love with each other and our both parents knew about it. I use to visit their home and her mom treated me very nice knowing that I was a close friend to her daughter. All her family knew me even her dad and it was same with my own family.
Fast forward to after school while we were still together, so you can imagine how many years and I had informed my family that I was ready to officially take this girl as my wife which they accepted. Now she had to inform her family as well that we have decided to take our relationship to the next level which is the right thing to do. I was very surprised when she did and her family that has been so nice to me suddenly started bringing clauses into everything and nothing really made sense aside the fact that I was not from south east especially their own state.
I remember how much she cried about it but she just couldn't disrespect her parents and I also didn't want us to find ourselves in all this kind of situation we see in Nollywood movies because any union that is not sincerely blessed by parents especially that of the woman is usually not a good foundation. This was how we somehow had to end the relationship and moved on but I always remember her alot because I was really in sincere love with her.
It's quite sad that we think we are developing and things are changing but some tribes are still living in the ages of days. Though I had to loose contact with her for years so we can move on, I sometimes try to imagine if she is happily married and doing well with her tribe person the parents wanted. Another ronu foo.l hiding under SS wants to drag igbos with style. Are many igbo women not married into other tribes in Nigeria? Some of you are not intelligent at all |

2 years ago El Rufai was there darling. Today he is IPOB Not long ago Ronu O'mockery the he-goat was there arch enemy and a foolish boy. Today he is wiser than the serpent and a bonafide Lukumi. Some of them even want to change the name of their ethnic group to Lukumi because of their new found friendship. These are the same people who said in 2003 that Buhari should never be allowed to be president. The story changed in 2015 They fought Wike when he was fighting Amechi and Buhari. They called him cultist, now he is Mr. Project. Not long ago they were bragging about religious harmony in their ronu region. Today they are up in arms against their Muslim brothers for wanting their God-given right of shariah law. If Gbadebo Chinedu Rhodes-Vivour wants to win election in 2027, all he needs to do for the ever emotional ronu touts to back him is to start insulting Igbos. What exactly does a ronu man want. He is neither here nor there. A classic 2faced demon.

ibtommy: . You don't win a battle wielding a sword of bitterness. I have Igbo friends and the way most of them reason is different from yours, bro. Without Kanu, Biafra can be achieved. All that's is needed is change the people's orientation. It's still a bewilderment to me that some wicked souls are killing their fellow Igbo people all in the name of fighting the Federal Govt. That's what needs to be corrected first. The next approach is to to talk to your politicians acting as snitches because of politics, to join hands with the people and demand what you want as a people. Fighting online tribal war will not achieve any tangible results. We need people who "do the talk and talk the do" As for Kanu, I'm sure he will be released soon. Shalom. The only reason you are talking about Biafra is because of the activities of Kanu. Who send Biafra before kanu came to the scene. He is the leader of the Biafran movement and a political prisoner. Obasanjo was once a political prisoner too |
