But no Rivers person will argue that there are no Igbos in Rivers state.

The problem is some persons saying Rivers is Igbo, this doesn't actually sound good to the Ijaw which are the majority in Rivers and also the Ogoni people.
Also the Opobo thing doesn't make sense either because King Jaja was Igbo slave in Opobo and later became a king, this made the argument that Opobo is Igbo, but the truth is Opobo is Ijaw

No, there is Igbos in Rivers state, no denial, I don't know if they are immigrants or real Rivers people but Ikwerre language is similar to Igbo and Oyigbo is purely Igbo.

But as for Opobo, it's typical Ibani language which is very similar to Kalabari, it's not Igbo.
