Good morning everyone. I am honestly disappointed in the punch newspaper. You guys are too big for what you did. Leave twisting of words and tacky unintelligent captions for gossip magazines.. First of all,i did not grant an interview to you guys. I wouldnt have,because the last time i did,you twisted my words as usual and gave it one of your stupid captions.
Because of that i stayed away from granting interviews for a very long time. I granted an interview to Samuel Olatunji. The interview was aimed at highlighting my personal struggles in the industry as an upcomer to encourage the new ones.. I talked about alot of things. I talked about how I looked for ways to upgrade myself when I found out I was being stereotyped to a particular role. I talked about looking up to and watching movies of other talented actresses to make myself better.

I talked about how movie critics also helped by bashing some of my movies and how instead of feeling offended, it made me sit up and it made me work harder. Then i was asked *but we heard you have to sleep with someone before you make it big in nollywood * and in our defence I told him it didn’t happen to me.
Then I was asked *why didn’t you relocate to lagos nd I gave them my reasons.

In a recent interview with ‘punch’ Sunday scoop. The light skinned actress opened up on her journey to stardom and how she became a star without relocating to Lagos, which is considered the hub of entertainment.
Nwokoye said, “Lagos is too rowdy. It’s too busy for me. In Lagos, everybody is hustling. I am not a hustler. All my life, I have never had to hustle for anything, anything I have came to me, including stardom.”

Does that mean she is one of the said few that didn’t have to sleep with a producer to get movie roles? ‘‘If it is true that actresses have to sleep with producers to get roles, I’m happy I didn’t have to do so. Sometimes, it is people’s way of trying to explain away their failure. I didn’t pass through it.

They said something is wrong with me, with all my brilliance, but today, by the grace of God, where I go or sit they can’t.“I have a first degree in English Language, a Masters in Social Work and I’m a Doctor in waiting. I did my Masters in LASU. We began as 78 students, only 48 passed. Out of the 48, only 2 people had the aggregate to qualify for their PhD. And Eucharia Akuwa Anunobi happens to be among the 2.
The other one was a lady as well. In everything, I make my boast in Jesus Christ. I went back to school just about 6 years ago so it is not too late for anyone whether male or female to go back to school. There’s need to go back to school and get education even if you are 75 years old.
In my case, I come from a privileged home, I’m ajebo. We lived at no 5 Musa Yaradua Victoria Island. In fact we were the last set at Federal School of Arts and Science. I have As in English, Government, Literature etc, at the end, I wanted to go to University and I’m the first born but my father said he had no interest in training the female gender in his family after secondary school. With all his riches and my brilliant result he refused to sponsor me to University except the boys.
He abandoned me on the way and that was how at the age of 16, I started fighting for my destiny. This was what made me begin seeking God at a very early stage.

A horrible situation happened recently on a Nollywood movie location that has left a young promising actor Ani Iyoho terribly burnt and currently fighting for his life at the hospital.
The sad incident happened on the set of Behind the Wheels directed by Stanlee Ohikhuare in Lekki, Lagos yesterday when a fire scene went horribly wrong. Confusion ensued and despite efforts to use fire extinguishers to put the fire under control, the tragedy could not be averted.
A Nollywood insider tells us, ‘I think it’s a stunt to promote the new movie because Nigerian actors and directors are not so daring to set fire on themselves’.
