If you haven’t come across any meme of a young man cunningly smiling with his finger beside his head, then you don’t really use Twitter or Nairaland(credits to smellymouth) The meme has become the current hottest meme on the internet, infact you can’t scroll through Twitter or Instagram without coming across the meme. His name is Kayode Ewumi, and he is a British/Nigerian actor. Kayode was born on 2nd November 1993 in the Elephant and Castle district of London, the middle child in an Anglo-Nigerian family. He read drama and theatre studies amongst other subjects at the City and Islington College before going on to Coventry University – initially to take the journalism course but switched to drama, graduating in 2015 with first class honours. The meme is actually from a documentary British/Nigerian actor Kayode and his friend Tyrell Williams shot in 2015 titled #HoodDocumentary. According to Vice, the short film follows deluded, – but strangely loveable – aspiring grime MC Roll Safe as he guides the viewer through “the hood”, AKA a small area of south London. The film and its subsequent episodes have been viewed over 5 million times on YouTube catapulting 22 year old Kayode into a worldwide online star. Seeing that the Roll Safe character is fake, one has to ask how he came up with him. “It’s based on a world that we’ve seen,” Kayode told Vice. “Everyone knows someone like RS, no matter what context [it’s in]. He’s that guy in the hood convinced that he knows everyone and everything.” I have always wanted to say this, seems this is the perfect time to express myself, Smellymouth brought up this meme or possibly made it popular here in NG. I started to see this meme on twitter handles a week after he made use of it here on NL.....I can be wrong though. Yea, I stand to be corrected, I mean how can a full grown adult-male watch a Reality show that has none or less impacts/inspirations to develop ones ability?. It's alarming when you log on social media and see young guys, who ought to be cracking codes, or drafting business ideas, commenting on how some people somewhere(hustling for some amounts of Money!) is acting or something Even if your father is Bill Gate, Mike or Dangote, that doesn't mean you shouldn't be productive....I know some are jobless, yea I know.
