I see his point tho — the scale and nature of the actions are definitely different. Attacking security forces is a direct assault on the state, while kidnappings for ransom, though terrible, are financially motivated.

That said, both actions are causing real harm to innocent people and communities. Acknowledging the differences is important, but we also need solutions that address all forms of violence, whether politically motivated or financially motivated. Fairness in discussion is key, but so is ensuring safety for everyone.
