Remember as a kid your Parents threaten you with Hell if you do anything wrong and in most cases it worked but as you got older you didn't believe it entirely and then you learned later in life that its just a Story to try to stop you as kid from doing the wrong thing, now that you are grown up and you have been Educated and read all there is about religion and how it s been used to control the minds of many for millions of years. Just look at all the different Views of the one thing they call God, which I believe is and Imaginary Person for grown ups, just as Fairy's are to kids when they loose a tooth. I read how People in 3rd World Country's pray to God for help but you must remember if you want some thing done by an imaginary person it will never happen, you have to do it yourself.

I'm from Australia and from what I have read and searched on the internet the Story was published in the paper on August 8 2009 the driver was interviewed at the time. I think if he was traveling towards the bus and the bus had its headlights on the truck driver would not have seen the body's laying on the road untill the last min and if he was traveling at 100 kilometers an hour and his truck was carry 20 tonne or more he would not have been able to pull up and if he heard Gun shots he probably tried to drive past it and then drive into the bush to escape. The Problem with most people they always believe everything they read instead of asking questions and do some research using Google.

9ja4eva, yes you may be right but I can only go on what I receive, and 99% of it comes out of Nigeria, It’s just not the 419 but also the fake Profiles on Yahoo and hi5.
This is after I have looked up there IP address. I think if every TV and Radio Station in the Western World played Advertising about the scams then the Gullible Westerners would be educated and the game would be all but over.

I think I just made a mistake in the percentage equation if you look at as 10 being 100% then you have 13 % of Australians who are dishonest against 87% of Nigerians, I think this is how it should read, please correct me if I’m wrong!?

Its great reading what every one thinks about this problem but I don’t see any answer in the very near future, Where there is Poor and Poverty and People out of work its going to be a huge job to turn it around.
There have been scams of some kind for years but the Internet has just made it a whole lot easier to do and not to forget quicker.
We should not just blame Nigerians, we also should put some of that blame on westerners for wanting to get rich quick, also we have to blame those who are silly enough to believe you just won lotto with out ever buying a ticket, how thick can some people be!!! I have read a lot and some are very well written but most are just so poorly written that you can see right thru it. If every one learnt not to send money to someone you have never heard of, that would be the end of most of this scam business.
“Joftech” I think would like to have all publicity of 419 stopped and this would lead to no one learning anything about the scams and this would be even worse. I might be wrong in what he said but that’s how I read it.
Then “Ijabuman” quoted that revenue from internet scams are thought to be Nigeria’s 3rd largest source of hard currency after Oil and Cocoa. I read something like this some time ago but I’m not sure if that is true, I also read that 75% of the National Income of Nigeria is stolen by the Government and other Officials, so just think how much that would help keep power and water running. I came across some more information that describes an Honesty rating, 10 being worst 1 being best. Australia is rated at 1.3 and Nigeria is rated at 8.7 now if you look at that as say 1.3 % of Australians are dishonest then look at 8.7% of Nigerians as being dishonest then it doesn’t look good. I have just one Nigerian Girl I am chatting to out 100 who I believe is Honest, these odds are not good. I have also learnt that our Australian Government wont help us out of Nigeria if we go there of our own free will.
I try to report every single Scam Like “Maxwelle” whether they come from Nigeria or not, but I’ve noticed most come from Nigeria then Ghana and Cote D’Ivoire.
I use an IP Address look up program and although they can’t pin point back to the sender its still good enough to do something. I don’t know if anything is done because I found specially on Yahoo Messenger that most of the Profiles from Nigeria are Guys using Pictures of Girls from a Model Agency and when I report them nothing is done as I have kept a list in my address’s called scammers and I just added another one yesterday. This is now the 100th person I have chatted to on Yahoo and I have found they are not telling the truth. Now “Montana” if you are using Yahoo to chat to your boyfriend that’s where these Yahoo boys are getting your details. I hope no one on Narialand is a Yahoo boy, I just don’t think they would waste there time in reading all this stuff.

I'm an Australian and I get at least one Scam mail per day, although most are from Yahoo some are from hi5 and tagworld but most are from Yahoo. Most of the scams I get are Advance Fee scams but some are lottery scams. I use an IP Address look up tool and find most are from West Africa and the majority are from Nigeria, the others are from Russia and 2 from Brazil and one from India and one from Spain, and I report every one of them. Nothing will be done about these scams until the Government from all countries around the World makes it Illegal, and Yahoo and the service providers are also to blame as they could have ways to stop this too. I have a list of 65 in my Scammers list oh Yahoo and most are there because they are scammers or they are using pictures of models from a modeling agency. I have yet to chat to a Nigerian who is honest and I know they are not all dishonest, but maybe most of these are guys posing as girls on Yahoo, I hope they clean it up for everyone sake. One of the TV stations here in Australia caught one of the Nigerian scammers just a few weeks ago and they caught his operatives in England and Europe

I really don’t know what the answer is but Nigeria unfortunately leads the way in Internet Scams, I have been getting them for about 12 months and the majority does originate from Nigeria. I have sent some to abuse at Yahoo and MSN and when I can I send them to there Provider, not sure that it s doing any good as I have done the same to some of the Nigerian girls or guys on yahoo messenger and there profile is still on there and operating so do they really shut them down? Most on yahoo messenger are using pictures of models from Focus International Hawaii and in some cases more than one girl is using the same picture, LOL I have message them back and told them what I have found and they don’t seem to care except for one who told me where to go, lol. I feel sorry for those who are honest and live in Nigeria or anywhere else. I have often wished I could have Nigeria deleted from accessing my internet provider but that’s being racist and I know hats not fair on those who are honest, but it does make me think after all the Nigerian girls have contacted me if any one is honest in Nigeria. So if I feel like that imagine how many others are feeling the same all because of those who create sorrow for the Victims

Hi I am Len I'm from Australia and yes I have had my fair share of Scam mail, and have often wondered if there was really any Honest People in Nigeria. However My first question is, how can someone be in Nigeria and when I look up there IP address on there email its telling me they are from Lebanon?, she tells me she is with Starcom but the IP address tells me its Cobranet and the IP address is 80.89.176.35 If someone can help me out please and I will also tell you more about Scam Mail.
