Travel / Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant by Benfaco1: 1:29pm On Nov 29, 2017 |
Many who come to Canada as skilled workers are disappointed that there are no gold streets, no red carpet and no $200,000 per year job for them in Canada. Experience is, it takes time to find your place in Canada. Immigrants, new Canadians and long time Canadians are all in competition for positions. My advice is, be patient, work as smart and as hard as you can. People hire on qualification and experience, but they also hire on personal knowledge and relationships. That is true around the world - including Canada. It is not nepotism exactly, it is a safe way of hiring people when you must deal with thousands of resumes that may or may not be accurate or true. My advice is to take the best job you can find in your industry, and meet people with your specific specialization. After they know you and understand how you work opportunities will open up. Almost always it is at least two years, maybe five or more years before immigration is worth the move. Cost of beginning - anywhere - is high. You are making a life decision, not a quick trade in the stock market. Build a life in Canada. You will be very pleased with the results. Don’t make decisions for benefit in months or a year, or even two or five years. Make decisions to benefit you for life. culled from quora 34 Likes 2 Shares |

plainmirror: 1) Most canadian universities require a minimum cgpa of 3.0 on a 4.0 which is equivalent to 3.5 on a 5.0 scale. 2) visit http://www.cic.gc.ca for more information. 3) I believe you have some schools in mind. Make a thorough research on each of those schools. You will find lots of information on their website such as cost of living for a year and tuition fee. 2 Likes |

Sports / Cristiano Ronaldo Wins 2016 Ballon D’or by Benfaco1: 8:18pm On Dec 12, 2016 |
The prolific forward has been recognised for firing Real Madrid to Champions League glory before then lifting the European Championship with Portugal Cristiano Ronaldo has beaten off competition from the likes of Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann to claim his fourth Ballon d'Or. The prolific Portuguese, who previously lifted the prestigious prize in 2008, 2013 and 2014, has enjoyed arguably the most successful year of his illustrious career, winning the Champions League with Real Madrid before captaining his country to European Championship glory in France. Messi, who boasts a record five Ballons d'Or, helped Barcelona win a domestic double last season but his dream of leading Argentina to a major international title was dashed by a penalty-shootout loss to Chile in the final of the Copa America. As for Griezmann, the 24-year-old attacker fired both Atletico Madrid and France to the finals of the Champions League and Euro 2016, respectively, but he suffered the agony of defeat on both occasions. Ronaldo, by contrast, tasted nothing but success over the summer by converting the winning spot-kick in Real's 11th European Cup triumph, in May, and then cheer-leading the Seleccao to victory over France in Paris just over six weeks later. With the 31-year-old having already finished top of the Goal 50 and now claimed another Ballon d'Or, he is set to complete a hat-trick of individual honours for 2016 when FIFA announces the winner of its Best Player award in January. source: http://m.goal.com/x/en/news/1785/ballon-dor/2016/12/12/30331522/cristiano-ronaldo-wins-2016-ballon-dor

When I was a kid I thought if I swallow orange seeds it germinate on my head. Thought the combination of fanta and mango at the same time could take someone's life. Always threw my fallen tooth on the roof top. Never knew why 5 Likes |
