After years of releasing hit singles, the 'Sekem' dance pioneer seems to have abandoned music for good, with no new music released in a long time. The JAMB registrar revealed that the accounting department failed to identify the fraud because they did not cross-check the names on the accounts to ensure that they matched those listed on the website or who owned the codes. He also revealed that the board's ad hoc workers had been charged, and he promised that the stolen money would be recovered. While speaking to journalists in Abuja on Tuesday, April13, the registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Ishaq Oloyede, revealed that some hackers obtained access to the board intranet site and allegedly diverted over N10m after altering the profiles of its ad hoc staff. Oloyede clarified how the fraudsters obtained access to the profiles by using Key Logger, a program that allows access to the profile of someone who has logged in using a public cybercafé even after the individual has logged out and left. According to Oloyede, Zubairu removed the names and phone numbers of the original ad hoc workers and replaced them with his, and those affected include code numbers 313 and312, among others. NOTE Oloyede went on to say that payment into the accounts of the beneficiaries resulted in the diversion of funds, revealing that the board's ad hoc workers had since been compensated and assuring that the stolen money would be recovered.
