Dr. Isa Pantami, Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, said yesterday that the Federal Government will not abandon the verification of National Identity Numbers (NIN) and Subscriber Identification Modules (SIM) in order to combat the country's rising insecurity.“On the issue of NIN-SIM verification to combat insecurity, there is no turning back,” Pantami tweeted via his official Twitter handle @DrIsaPantami in response to a report linking him to a specific terror organization. Our priority as a country, according to Section 14(2)b of our constitution (as amended), is stability, not just economics.Without a doubt, there will be no turning back".

The minister, on the other hand, said that his anti-doctrine and anti-evil-doer lectures have been accessible for more than 15 years.“The lectures contain debates that put my life in jeopardy against a slew of Nigerian criminals.Get an impartial Hausa speaker to translate for you if you don't understand Hausa.”

He said that by the grace of God, no amount of warning would deter him from carrying out President Muhammadu Buhari's good security policies.

Why are our politicians so shameless. You have been placed on US terror watch list for having a link with Boko Haram which you can not deny due to all the evidences available. instead of you to shamelessly resign, here you are talking about NIN. Just like Senator Ali Ndume, una no get shame at all. I blame DSS for not proflling you before the appointment or maybe they did but Buhari in his usual character chose to ignore it.

Terrorists are not known to give up on their ideas, so I’m not surprised.

How can you appoint an Islamic scholar to head a communication industry? Where are all the Nigerian IT gurus making waves all over the word? I am ashamed of Buhari government.

Nobody asked you about NIN or SIM verification. What do you have to say about the allegations levelled against you? Don't forget to clarify the video evidence too.

Thanks for pointing out my mistake, that's what we do now, we leave the content of the message, to find fault in the message, just to feel good about ourselves.

That's how we live now, that's why we are in this mess.
