Next time before you comment, read carefully... and don't just blurt out anything that comes to your mind.

There's a big difference between being depressed and suffering from depression.

Of course all Christians get depressed once in a while, but suffering from depression means chronic depression like a very bad sickness.

A Christian that spends much time in God's presence cannot suffer from chronic depression, it's impossible. Unless he or she decides to backside away from God.

you must really be sure she died as a result of chronic depression..which makes her a non Christian..so she is in hell now lol.. life no dey work by that script

You Christians are some of the most wicked individuals out there. Your utterances violate even the God you claim to serve. In your mind, when Elijah became so depressed that he ran to hide, he was no longer of God, abi? And when Elisha died of illness, that could not have been of God either? Congratulations, you lot have become better than even God's very own. undecided

even i resisted the urge to draw out men of God who were clearly depressed in the bible ...people go just type anything without thinking...even Jesus was clearly not in the best mood when he knew what he had to bear to die on the cross..he was consistently praying those last hours..his soul was weary

why do you think the EFCC finds it very difficult to prosecute corrupt politicians.. it is because of Judges like this.. In Nigeria, the Judiciary which is supposed to be an independent entity remains stooges of the Executives at the Federal and State Level.. they are deliberately starved of funds so they can always go cap-in-hand to beg the Executive.. and do their biddings.

That is why you see judgement like this without justice..

Like Obi Cubana said.. money na water.

and the truth is that ...even we lamenting when faced with the same temptation of this root of all evil.. will do same.. the amount of 419 and hookups shows the other end of the curve ...Nigeria need God intervention..

I have been hearing and seeing news about the naira performance against dollars of recent.

So, I still couldn't understand it well. I just went to use 200 naira to get garri and groundnut to eat unfortunately I bought a cup of garri for 120 naira and groundnut for 50 naira. Now, I have a balance of 30 naira and the 30 naira can't buy anything to support my ministry.

I haven't soaked it yet. I believe Nigeria will be great again. I pray for our leaders.

Is this the effect of the naira performance or Nigerians refusing to cut down prices?

30 naira go buy one pure water

In my opinion, Nigerians, especially Southern Nigerians, are among the top three most ambitious/money driven Africans. This ambitiousness if wrongly harnessed can lead to a mishap of things. That's the reason other Africans don't indulge in some of the things we do.

NYSC / Re: NYSC Is 50! Please Tell The World Where You Served. by Benjamin4388(m): 7:45pm On Apr 15
dammie4j:
My service year I would say is one of my best years till date. Obbubra Camp, Calabar, Batch A, 2012. Got posted to Ikom one of the lovely country sides, but my love and high spirit of Calabar got me to get a re-posting back to the city capital. Got unprecedented favours all throughout my stay, perhaps due to the kindness of my parent to corpers and generally young people. As a matter of fact, my experience in service built my confidence to survive anywhere outside my comfort zone, my live skills and my ability to adapt to diversity.

On my first touchdown in Calabar, quite naive and with lots of expectations. I got a contact with a christ embassy lady (kindhearted) who linked a senior corper for temporal accommodation. Off the cab, the driver tried to take advantage and charge extra for a location really close, (2) elderly adults who never knew each other volunteered to walk me to my destination safely. I was very confident about my soundness, physique and flows as a full bred Lagos boy so headed straight to CBN to try my luck with getting an offer, mindful that I wasn't originally posted to the city and NYSC officials then frowned against such. Just on my way, the first person I met was an ex-schoolmate whom I assisted with bed space in camp. He had connections so got a referral to the HR at Cross River State Tourism Bureau (one of the best places to work in CRS at the time). He encouraged I try my luck in confidence, to cut the story, I was preferred over him after a long spell of screening, Stepping out I decided to check up the uni and got picked up by the faculty officer of Biz Admin who liked my disposition amidst even original corpers posted there. Naso she carry me bipass protocols and I got a second offer in the uni same day. Meanwhile, other original calabar corpers still roaming (grace differs).

In camp I recalled joining an assessment with Interswitch SmartGov only for 2:1 and 1:0 grads. Later got called for interviews and aced another offer within 2 or 3 days of my arrival. I just didn't bother about CBN. Beta confusion hold me. As I enter state sec naso those officials vex for my offers due to multiple rejection from other corps after lobbying for reposting oooo. Naso he nack me CRS local gov service commission. I vex collect rejection still returned to my top choice CRSTB.

I had so excess fun and hardly got broke due to my friendship with top naval officials. Eventually moved into the naval officers quarters behind bays bar (Lounge) with the privilege of scaling the fence to get to the club (you don't get such easily). Worked my CDS to tourism CDS and became a top exco influencing support from my organization. Got my first pair of suits as we were required to reflect status and finesse of the organisation. Made massive money from the Calabar Carnival with my partner while it was highly funded. Commissioned a notable project that earned me state coordinator's award, chop small project funds with my partner despite the impact grin, got retained but refused due to KPMG's test invitation and career growth and finally japa to Lag cool Lest I forget, the have the best food and nice and welcoming ladies and people generally. I also almost got bleeped up sometime by one Calabar cab guy coming from Pinnacle club then due to plenty shayo, but thanks for the intervention of the gallant NA and my swiftness in identifying myself (I really missed that ID).

I am really so excited about that year but never returned till date. Still hopeful. God bless all the beautiful people I met. Was a whole experience.

On the contrary you are the one who is displaying low self esteem.

A rational human being left the position of CFO in his own country to go drive forklift in another man's country while consoling himself with a false sense of exchange rate that is totally irrelevant to him in that country.

Feel free to go and join him to drive forklift but stop putting out totally illogical takes. Y'all have never travelled or lived abroad that's why you make these baseless comparisons
You skip the part where he gave reasons for his decisions..from the future of his kids, standard of living etc..it's all there for you to check and to me they were very valid

Sorry but I don't use gutter language.

Your thinking has to be upside down to think that a forklift operator is better than a CFO in a reputable company just because the forklift operator is in Australia.

Apparently you have never worked in a structured organization before.

Tech guys (the dev) are like gods. They create magic and the magic works wonders.

If only you know what happens behind the hood. Dev team builds AI and are responsible for the maintenance and upgrade.

It's you guys that will be replaced. There are AI that will be performing medical surgeries and make intelligent decisions during the medical procedures real time. You are talking of forklifters, so easy to replace. You will see robot that has AI capabilities doing your work efficiently and seamlessly. It was on CNN two days ago ( you can also Google) that AI is revolutionising auditing and accounting jobs. That task that takes you a week to deliver will be processed by Ai and delivered within a nano seconds.

You better catch up on the news. The era is changing so fast.

Just one question for you...
Is Op spending in AUD or Naira?
Is he converting his salary to naira to send back home?

If No then your comparison is needless. You can never compare a successful CFO in Nigeria to a Forklift operator anywhere in the world.

in a sane country nobody send your papa.. You all like to kid yourself.. but you can compare a successful cfo to Jeff bezoz.Bill gate. rafeal Nadal. messi. ..na where una fit think say una might fit reach..na him una dey reason. learn to reason beyond the horizon.. any place where people are treated cuz of what he got...my fellow try japa from dem..such evil mentality

EARLY DAYS, my brother. Early days. You've just been there for 3 months. Let's have a feedback after 2 years. Very smart of you to ditch searching for Accounting job and went into factory/warehouse job. The frustration and depression would have been too much for you.

One thing i know for sure is that loss of "Big man"status in Australia will be unbearable for you in the long run. You will begin to appreciate Nigeria regardless of all the shortcommings.

Yes it is very humbling my brother. I can not imagine a man at almost 50 years decelerating from being a Boss to a Boy Boy for Oyibos. In exchange for clean 247 electricity and security. Definitely, they are better organized than us, right?

But it depends on where you lived in Nigeria. You mentioned being an Igbo man, so it could be that your city is not properly organized as opposed to other places with serene air and cleaner environments.

Alternatively, working as a warehouse handy-man is boy boy in your language. But congratulations for promoting yourself from big man to boy boy.

I promise you that we will build Nigeria, so your children can have a better place to return to, and hopefully you will be visiting often and not when you are too weak to be useful to Nigeria.

I'm still trying to understand the idea behind Man.Utd sitting back and losing the ball against smaller teams. From what I can see, Erik Tenhag is no longer in control of this team. This is not his philosophy. This is the same style the players exhibited under rangnick, solskjaer, Mourinho. What is going on with this club? They beat Liverpool 4-3 and then come here to play absolute nonsense. Fernandes has seriously dropped and it's no longer a secret. Rashford only plays good football whenever he wants. They should just sell rashford to PSG since he is wanted there. This guy is more concerned about politics than football. No coach can ever enjoy coaching man.u if the management doesn't change. They don't deserve a draw. They deserve to lose
