I hate noise or anything that unnecessarily vibrates my eardrum with passion. I was Born in August and like a lion, I roost in quiet places, I study in serene places totally devoid of sound, I get unexplained inspiration in silent places when I can hear the breeze blow calmly past now and again trying to whisper secrets of nature into my ears. The only time u see me in a bit noisy place is when I am eating, playing games with my friends, gisting or in the classroom waiting for lectures after which I will retire to my quiet "cave" far away from vibration to continue my journey to the astral world and commune with my inner mind. I have few favourite hip-hop musicians DBanj, 2Face, Dagrin, 9ice and classical music sages whose message clearly reveals the truth not "just dance dance and dance like monkeys". The best place where my spirit and soul is greatly alive is when I go into light forest or on top of a solitary mountain to feel the fresh "wine" of nature. In these places things start happening to me, by brain start working sweetly like u add grease to a machine, my thoughts start getting clearer and clearer like I just bought them a new pair of eyes and just then my inner voices becomes louder that I can hear them and feel their touch. I am from a firewood and akamu background, a background whereby you have Pap or Garri and fish as breakfast, few pieces of yam and oil for lunch and Amala or eba with ewedu soup and half fish for supper. I give glory to God for creating me to this kind of family not just because of self-pride but also because of the survival skills I am able and still to garner and other rare "witty" skills that my fellow brethren in the "butter world" cannot have.
My Father (who fell from immense grace to grass long before my birth) gives me 5k as pocket money montly,this ain't consistent as sometimes for 3 months I won't be sent any kobo from home and I understand, I have 4 siblings in Fed universities . So I, being prodigal by nature, is forced by circumstances to manage my resources like a soldier managing his life at war. My sweet mother makes sure I take abundant foodstuff to school, I have a clipper which I use to barb my hair all by myself using a mirror, I trek to school almost all the time except I am extremely tired, I eat twice a day and sometimes once,
I don't smoke neither do I drink, I dress well to school that some people cannot help but admire me, I don't boast or brag but I am a calm thug, I have a number of calm and wise friends who are fellow thugs too, I have quite a number of female admirers and I am always indifferent to their green-lights cos I am aware of the financial onus no matter how cheap they may seem but I am "friends" them though I am always thinking of how to make money and manage my present resources, always avoiding night parties although I am social, avoiding unnecessary luxuries and focusing on the real deal which is studies and money making.

I think yours is far better than mine, just said mine for you to know you are on the good side bearing in mind the consistency of your monthly allowance.
I understand life as a theatre hall whereby we are given a divine role to play with an objective of making the best of our existence.

Just like me too,
On the 23rd of May this year, I met a girl in a bank, I am a very shy person but that day i flowed so well with her that I was wondering how I got that unusual calmness and confidence. She also flowed with me so well and I noticed a particular glow in her eyes (perhaps she is enjoying my company).she gave me her digits and I offered to pay her bike fee after the chat.
Since then didn't actively follow up not becos I am not interested but becos I just want to be myself. And although I am shy, I have a large Ego and I won't do things against my real-self. We do bump into each other sometimes in school. I notice she is in a confused mode and do not know what I have up my sleeves but she sees that I care.
Although e no easy o, because I have to bottle up intense waves of emotions so as not to appear foolish and "common".
To cut the story short, its been five months now but I have learnt greatly on how to caution my emotions and think of reality by subjecting the two to wise thought and asking myself these three questions
"Is that really what you need now?"
" Emotions are heavenly feelings, will you be presently able to cope with realities of relationship should one happen?"
"How much do you worth?? Why not channel your energy into productive things?"

And yes I answered these questions sincerely in order not to deceive myself and crumble at the wave of emotions. Some people will think I am fearing but I think building a good future for myself will earn me some confidence. And if in the long run we become good friends then fine, that will be a nice way. I think emotions that grow on a platform of solid friendship is real..

As to the girl, I think you were "emotional" in your approach. I think Over-expression of emotion has a destructive effect on our self-esteem and we "imperfect" humans will term it as foolishness, It has to be cautioned. Many people have lost their real self due to wanting to impress the opposite sex out of "showing of love" all na wash abeg....

Be yourself, suck up some confidence and cheer-up. Dump that guy for good cos you might see him with a girl tomorrow and yes that can cause you an emotional trauma. If he truly loves you back he will find you even if you get yourself abducted by bokoharam to sambisa outta frustration.
