The frequency really doesn't matter as long as you have them. They are organic (Dried or Wet Poo) they eventually turn to the soil albeit a RICH ONE.

And I am not a Farmer perse, just an hobby for now. Staying in Lagos can't really make a Farmer out of most of us. Just an hobby for now.

Chicken Poo is at its best when dried. You might not have the luxury of drying them out considering space and time.

The other disadvantage of Chicken poo that I know of is the fact that if you have chickens around, it usually kill off Chicken when they are still hound when the pick on Maggots from Chicken poo or any poo when they are still young ( between 0-2months)

As for Farming, Chicken poo is one of the BEST. It is organic, no danger of contaminations to ground water etc.

You can apply Chicken poo anytime and everytime, before plantation and after it.

I heard from a relative into Agriculture that Chiken poo can be risky when wrongly applied. Plz how best to make use of Chiken poo for manure before planting, during planting and after planting for coconut, Plantain and orange

A Tree can give you minimum 60-70 Coconuts a year with the right conditions.

But to reach that stage takes a minimum of 3-4 years with the earliest of them ( The Dwarf Specie) while in some other hybrid it is 5-6 years.

Then they will continue fruiting for close to 40-50 years and even longer.

My Dad lived to be 92 years, there is a Coconut Tree standing at my Ancestral home till date, my father told me his Mum planted it when he (my Dad) was about 25 years!

Very funny. Coconut Trees are super prolific given the right conditions.


It takes a while to fruiting stage but once they are, they surely can produce.

Last Fruiting Season (The first) I had only Four Coconuts.

This season ( the Flower clutches appeared in late November 2022) I can see almost 60 Coconuts already and counting...

And yes I added Table salt some Feet away from the Plant in a circle.

There are grasscutters. I noticed they kept attacking just 4 among my coconuts.

To save the young coconut from grasscutter attacks, get wire, cute some woods and make a triangular pen round the coconut.

I will make a video of this once I visit my farm.
