Some of the religious teachings believe body and Soul are one and the same. In Eckankar we believe Soul comes in and takes on the physical body as a temple to use so It can move in this physical world.

We have to take full responsibility for our own lives. Once we do, we find that the problems we have are ones we can handle. Not only that, but we can often choose our problems. You may think if there were a choice between problems and no problems, you’d choose to have no problems, and I’d say you would be very wise. But this world doesn’t run like that. It works by degrees, not absolutes.

It works like this: You are going to have problems, but you now have a choice as to how to handle them.

Is Mastership an attainable goal? Yes, one can become an ECK Master in this life.

As a spiritual exercise, take yourself into a larger room. For example, if you have a desire for self-discipline, leave the room of self-discipline that you’re in. Go down the corridor, and go into another room. This room will be larger. It will be much larger. Just live within the awareness that you want to be in this room of more self-discipline. Then let the Holy Spirit, the ECK, bring about the changes in your life that will accompany such a resolution.
