MoU means Memorandum of Understanding. Nothing more. Few crooked fellas sat down and struck an understanding of technical looting.
if you took your time to read you will understand that the government is not paying a dime. This guys will construct, commission and operate this particular rail line all by themselves. This is pure business. While they're doing this business to their gain, they're in turn building the Nigerian rail infrastructure. Nigeria government will only provide an enabling environment for them by removing bureaucratic processes and others.

Emergency lovers of Nigeria.

Tinubu is not working.

Under the MoU, the UK firm will manage the design, construction, commissioning, operation, and eventual transfer of the Port Harcourt–Enugu–Calabar–Abuja Standard Gauge Rail Line.

For how many years before the eventual transfer.

Business / Re: CBN Insists Banks Can’t Pay Dividends From FX Revaluation Gains by benuejosh: 3:46pm On Mar 15
Validated:
Is CBN confused?

CBN should also tell us if such revaluation can be reported as profits (extraordinary gains).

Would CBN be prevailing on FIRS to exempt those profits from Companies Income Tax?

Would CBN have asked the banks to create a revaluation loss account if the reverse was the case or would they have been asked to write-off such losses?

Let the Naira pick up. They'll force demand for the Naira.

I think the whole ideal will be for the banks to deal more with our local currency by pushing for economic activities that will bring more Naira for them and keep the FX market untouched before we see another $1 to N2000.

Very good.

I think our monetary body is getting it right gradually. Allow the FX market to be stable. What gains have you made in Naira, let the Naira pick up by creating the demand for it.

Banks post huge financial gains yet low economic activity to help boost our local economy. The gains comes majorly from FX gains. Since you made the gains from FX, allow it to be there and don't touch it let us see what the Naira side is for you. Let the FX market stay untouched and if you can't use the naira to pay then push for activities that will yield more naira for you. Give loans to customer in Naira to carry out businesses and bring profit for you and themselves. Let that demand for Naira be there.

Weldone Prof. I picked Umahi during the last administration as the best and this time i am going with Prof. Soludo. The guy is doing great. He will become the Tinubu of the East in terms of setting the tempo for good governance in the East and other things that Tinubu did to make Lagos great.

But will Nnamdi Kanu be happy when he gets to know that his kinsman is developing the zoo kingdom?

Will IPOB terrorist organisation allow people to use those good infrastructure provided by Prof on mondays?

Go and farm and live Tinubu out of your travails.

Little wonder you were called lazy Nigerian youths. Farm, cultivate your backyards and eat from those gardens. Growing up and till now, we have a home garden, we have goats, chickens and turkey that we can easily get hold and satisfy those cravings. We have Ugu, okra and others in our gardern too that we eat from consistently. Not to talk of the large portions of yams, cassava, maize and rice that we have farmed that keepa us all through the year. We hardly buy food because what we cultivate takes us in the house for a almost a whole year. About 7-8months to be precised. As the food stuff is finishing, time for another harvest is approaching.

If we learned to use our resources to help us. Stop complaining and go to farm.

Herdsmen are not all over the land. Even in Benue it is former governor Ortom's local government that they are residing. It is only him that knows the connection he has with them.

Go to farm, farm what you eat and stop complaining. Tinubu is only helping us.

Politics / Re: Hardship: Men Have Failed, Let’s Give Women A Chance – PDP by benuejosh: 5:52pm On Mar 08
While i will commend the PDP for advocating for more women inclusiveness in the Nigerian politics and scheme of things, PDP should know that women have been offered more chances in government and politics in APC led government than it was ever offered during the era of the PDP led government in the country.

Inclusiveness, equity and affirmative actions regarding the women course has not been taken for granted. Some of this measures includeď giving women nominations and express of interest forms free of charge to contest any elective positions during the last election (primary elections for those who are not aware).

As we celebrate International Women's Day today, i strongly advocate for inclusion of women and i call for the full implementation of the 35% affirmative action for women in government.

Happy International Women's Day to our wonderful and strong Nigerian women who have been supportive in making sure the world is a better place for us all.

Politics / Re: Gunmen Attack Benue Community, Kill 16, Raze Over 50 Houses by benuejosh: 5:31pm On Mar 08
The community members have a hand in that.

As i will always say, there's no killing by whosoever or whatever name they choose to call it that happens without the knowledge or connection of the locals. It has been proven time without numbers.

Check well, it will not be herdsmen. Which herdsmen if i may ask? How did they get entrance into that local government? Who led them? See, The only place i will agree with the Fulani herdsmen is former governor Ortom's local government which is Guma Local Government. Because he brought those ones to kill his people for whatever reason he thought he was doing it for.

Those bandits or gunmen they keep mentioning in Benue are like those UNKNOWN GUN MEN that we know that exist from the South East.

The locals should be investigated to ascertain their involvement in such barbaric act.

I repeat, the locals should be investigated.
