Why would you even call your team beta? Alpha no day? Omega? Very funny duo
No name could help them. Not even Alpha & Omega or Ancient of Days. 😂😂

Those two were odd and off. No coordination at all. Even beefing each other at some point. Couldn't stand both of them at any point in the season.

True story
Imagine putting Faith and TJ in the same sentence. Heresy!! The only similarities they had were being a doctor and ex-HMs. Nothing else. TJ cannot tie Faith's shoe lace in the history of this show. They are worlds apart!!

I didn't even remember TJ was a HM till she mentioned him. He's that forgettable. grin

I agree on Pere. He's quiet eloquent and coherent but not someone I'd put in intelligent category. Wanted to point it out but didn't want continue on that intelligent argument.

I did not watch most of the show, but I did see his crashouts, including the one that got him disqualified, and his moments with Imisi.

Your feelings can be valid, and you can still be manipulative. Feelings are subjective, not objective. People are entitled to how they feel about things, but that doesn’t mean they’re not misrepresenting things.

For instance, Imisi’s actions were led by her own ignorance, they were not malicious and she was not trying to assault him. Yet, he felt assaulted, and tried to paint her in a certain light. Some of his claims were even misrepresented (there was a clip his fans said she was trying to kiss him, mind you, she wanted to cover his mouth, the clip was just misinterpreted) however, if he felt uncomfortable, he had a right to those feelings.
In other words, Faith, whose felt firsthand the actions, his feelings are not valid and he's lying, despite the hard evidence out here showing factual display of what he was complaining.

It's funny men's feelings are dismissed but women's feelings are valid. If a man did what Imisi did, women arisers would be out in droves calling for his head. For someone who didn't watch this very well, it's quiet funny dismissing what we all watched. I just hope you keep the same energy and call a woman manipulative when she's on the receiving end of such act.

Oh, I did not watch the show. I saw the clips of his arguments at the Reunion, and if Imisi were smarter, she would have countered him properly, but she’s not, so, she was just screaming and throwing about KellyRae standards of rebuttals.

For the record, I did hand him the win, but only on technicalities. Faith was a terribly flawed character on that show, and manipulative, which is why he excelled in misrepresentation of facts, however, his feelings were very valid.
I wouldn't say Imisi was not smarter, she just didn't come prepared or had nothing to prove and hence why she displayed that tacky attitude.

Faith on the other hand, had an unfinished business. He had a point to prove. He came prepared and with facts. He needed to disabuse some notions about him and he did well.

Na una sabi o

NelitAces gave me a great show and I enjoyed them so much, nothing concern me with the other housemates or general entertainment anything.

I know how many songs I listen to now, and remember Sooj or Solly dancing to it. I know how many highlights I still watch because of those guys. It felt like watching a movie. Sooj dancing alone, gave me so much joy. Ship sweet sotey we get ship song, even watching how protective Sooj was of Nelly when Biggie sent in his mad women, watching how much he cared for her when they did that task where they had to reenact a seggsual assault scene.

Their outfits, their pool parties, the push and pull, their little fights, the one when she said she’d kiss Shaun in a T&grin when they were having issues and he stormed off…

I will take that hundred times over screaming and shouting. NLG and SYE were two of my favourite seasons because they gave me dancing men and sexy couples- aesthetics. I’m a romance writer, chaos does nothing for me. Give me ship, give me delulu, if I want to watch fights and chaos, I know where motor park dey. The occasional fights are okay, but fight every dayhuhhuh And some couldn’t even express themselves in English, so, they kept losing me during the fights. That Mensan and Kaybobo own, nobody was speaking coherently, what even was thathuh??

It’s just a difference in tastes, and I’m always glad to not be part of a crowd.
@emboldened, that's just it. I can understand why NLG was fun to you. Different strokes for different folks.

He would show his mettle, but would still not match the top guys from that set

Last season’s females were dull too, either they, or they were not articulate. If you’re smart, but not articulate, Faith will eat you up. See what he did to you people’s winner during Reunion, did he have a good argument? No. Was she unable to articulate herself and pass her point across? Yes. He won on technicalities, if he jammed a smart babe that can articulate her words, he would never have hooked her like that. I have seen what the average Nigerian calls intelligent, and more often than not, it is someone of average intelligence, but quite eloquent.

Faith was talking a lot of bullshit with flowery words, so, of course, he’d excite many. He reminded me of our SUG President one time- a fraud, but a very convincing one. Then again, it takes intelligence to scam anyways, so, I get it.
How can you say you watched the show and none of what Faith said was a good argument? How? Did we watch the same show? The scenarios Faith illustrated, point out the ones that were wrong let's detabte it.

I often compare him to his fellow doctor, TJ, in NoLooseGuard, who was a passionate worker and heavily involved in tasks, yet, he somehow was not a standout character in NLG.

Honestly, he was a mackerel in a tadpole pond. Any other season, and he would have been the second best intelligent guy. If you compare him to his progenitors, he wouldn’t match up.
TJ had no personality. That's why he couldn't stand out. It wasn't because he wasn't intelligent.

You're getting it wrong. Intelligence wasn't the only thing that made Faith stand out. No HM can stand out so well on intelligence alone. Not possible. Yerins was intelligent but that's it. He had nothing else. And was booted out.

Faith had everything. Intelligence. Relationships struggle. Fights. Chaos. Tasks winning. Wager excellence. Bullied. Villain. Victim.

Which of these qualities did Yerins or TJ have?

Even intelligent HMs like Ozo and Adekunle had other things going for them. That's what stood them out.

I feel like tagging the person that came to question me when I said I was classist and preferred this set to 10/10.

Please, I don’t remember your handle, but feel free to watch this crop of men and judge for yourself, if 10/10 had any guys that could speak as eloquently and directly as Gerard, Ricky, Barry, Aikou, or even Martins.

Compare the same crop of men to Sooj, Mbadiwe brothers. Faith was the only eloquent guy in 10/10, that could argue intelligently.

No single man with aura last year, not one sexy muthaf***a. Nothing for me to watch, even the ones wey fine, no get aura.
I'd take the general entertainment of 10/10 over NLG's "aura". A season with fine men whose "aura" bored most of us to death?

Aura is entertaining, but when aura is the major selling point of a season and nothing else, then that season is bound to be drab.

When you think of seasons like Mercy's set, Ozo's set etc, they had both aura, chaos and other ingridients that made their seasons top notch. NLG had arguably the worst winner and form of entertainment ever.

He would only stand out because he was surrounded by dunces.

Again, if he had been in NLG or this set, he would have been just another guy. That one sef was a fraud at times, but he get luck say na mumu full him set, so, he got away with it. He was zobo in a desert
Nah. That I totally disagree with. When it came to debates or making an argument or speaking generally, Faith was never found wanting. There's no set from See Gobe down to SYS that Faith wouldn't show his mettle. None. Even at the reunion, when everyone thought he was over and out, he made his points intelligently and turned the tables around.

What are you talking about? Faith that never lost a wager? The only HM to hold that record? Just say you don't like last season's HMs and it's fine. But saying just because these male HMs did well against an obvious olodo females, Faith can't stand out amongst them is either hating on Faith or recency bias.

What exactly do these HMs hold over Faith?

Eloquence. Em get am.
Intelligence. Em get am.
Artistic skills. Em get am
Tasks? Wagers? Faith go chop am clean mouth.

These male HMs are good. But saying Faith shone because of the dull HMs he was with is a lie. The females of last season weren't dull like this season's. In short, I can argue that the reason these males shone bright tonight is because the females appear to be dullards.

Yes, and that view opened me up to further vitriol from others.

Rule 2 says “Don’t provoke…”. If the post is provocative, it is breaking a rule. It is not you that determines what can be provocative. If someone is accusing me (or anyone else) of tribalism, I can find that provocative, and that is breaking a rule.

Any post that also steers the thread from its original purpose, especially by attacking other posters, has broken a rule. It is not for you to determine reactions to provocation, so, telling me I can just scroll past, is rather convenient. I can also choose to hide it for provocation, which I have done.

Thank you for your contribution. Let’s keep the thread going for its actual purpose.
So, using your criteria, if you make a post about me or anyone and the person or I don't agree with it, no matter how civil your post is, them or I can term it provocative and ask you to hide your own post? Because you can't dictate what's provocative to others too.

You can tell someone "you must be joking" and the person would find it provocative and ask you to hide your post, would you do it? You can see the "you must be joking" was written with decorum but yet the person found it provocative.

When an atheist types God doesn't exist and we religion people are believing in fantasies, on NL, of course some people might find it offensive but it's actually not an insult. Should we now hide his post?

I'm not trying to tell you how to do your job, but as someone in higher position, you're supposed to be more accommodating and maybe tell him or her to stop derailing and if they continue, ban or hide their subsequent posts. My 2 cents. One love.
