TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedure? by Bernghos: 11:12am On Feb 03, 2015
Hello House,

There is this hospital in California which I came across. It's relatively cheap. Centinela Hospital Medical Center. It has got maternity package, vaginal = $3K and c/s = $5K for 1day and 3days stay at the hospital (all inclusive).
Any Mom who have used this hospital before and if yes, how can you rate their services? And the prices same as listed?

Thank You,
Cheers!

Dear Nairalanders,

Please, the stories about POE are scaring. Please, any idea of a safe POE?. It's horrific travelling for such a long distance and CBP refuse entry. Please, I have noted that CBP at Houston and Atlanta POE are very strike on pregnant women. Which other safe POE can anyone suggest to me?. I really wish not to be disturbed at all because it I intend to enter at 32weeks.
2. Please, what are some of the reasonable answer to the usual question at the POE "What is the purpose of your trip"?
3. I have learned of El Paso TX, MIHS Phoenix and Methodist Medical Center Houston. Please, apart from these, is there any other cheap hospital in Houston?

Please share!
Cheers!,

Tony,

Dear Nairalanders, happy new year.
I am new on the forum but I have gathered lots of essential information from previous postings. Actually, I intend to have my baby in US in Texas precisely and wish to find out affordable/cheap clinics as I do not have health insurance. All cost will be out of pocket. I wish to know the estimated cost of delivery both normal and CS in the most affordable clinics or hospital centers in Texas. Are they christain non-profit making clinics and say public/community health centers which charge reasonable prices?

I have been doing some research online but the cost of delivery in US is scaring ($20,000on average). How many months can I leave for the US with the pregnancy?

Please, can someone share her experience with possible contacts please!

Thanks & Best Regards

Hello Newmum0615,

From experience as my wife just registered with dr fagohun and has paid, the 20% discount only applies to dr fees and out patient labs, you have to pay a flat $300 fee for circumcision except he now further offers another form of discount as you would see on his self pay estimates letter that the 20% discount comes just before the line item for circumcision.Am curious to hear from @uchetobi to see if its differnt from what I explained here

Also, pediatrician fees are separate o as they are doctors like fagbohun that offer a service, when you register at the hospital i.e oakbend which my wife also just did, you would get a letter advising you to contact and discuss payments with pedatrican, anesthesiologist, pathology and Xray(only required if the is a sort of need) so note you pay pedatrician fees seperately whi
