mazaje: There is nothing really like faith healing. . .It just doesn't work and is all make belief. . . .Here are some case scenarios that explains how faith healing or miracles work. . .

CASE 1:

The person prays and uses medicine side by side. Medicine heals him. So he says god healed him. The poor doctor with years of study and recommendation get no credit at all, all the credit goes to god.

CASE 2:

The person prays and the disease goes away by itself. The person then says it was god. . .Our bodies will heal some diseases with our immune system if given enough rest, food and time. God still gets the credit. . .

CASE 3:

The person's disease was psychological. By using prayer he shifts how his mind sees the world and thus the mental condition is gone. He praises god.

CASE 4:

Prayer works in similar way. No supernatural phenomena though. Just the mind working.

CASE 5:

The preacher creates illusion of miracles by hiring actors.

CASE 6:

The person pretends to have a disease just to enjoy the status of going to the altar to praise God. . . .Being special to god is a nice ego boost.

Nothing like faith healing. . .If it works christians will not be going to hospitals. . .

This universe is plenty, plenty strange with or without invisible men. Science acknowledges quite a few things that leaves one bamboozled. More ridiculous at first sight than even religious nonsense. Doesn't mean it's magic though, as its all been proven, verified and ultimately, make a whole lot of sense. It isn't close minded at all, nor are most atheists. We simply don't accept nonsense, like miracles.

If you make unverified claims of miracles that cannot be validated then please don't waste our time. Go and find something you can prove and can be investigated by others. Else I might as well believe santa was very busy a few nights back. He's simply invisible, has a time machine, and can manipulate memories.

How do you explain your miracle?

I believe most miracles are hokum. There is little evidence to suggest miracles happen. Go on the thread with amputees and you will see that there all sorts of excuses why amputees are never healed. Few miracles stand up to solid scrutiny.

mehn, I've seen miracles happen live, even in my small church here, I think this should just be at least a lil proof that there's God though.

I miss everybody, d Jokes,games n romance sections especially..all funny and disturbed people, they made my one year of staying at home b4 entering d Uni awesome. I was off for about a year or so..what do I meet, new faces, new MODs, new rules, new everything..all good though..was just reading old posts and I remembered those days of 24hours on NL..no sleep, cos NL was so much fun.(still is anyways)..but things are so different now.
