Foreign AffairsRNN Highlights Ansarallah Commander Speech On Jan 25th, 2024. by Bescdmsd(op): 9:58am On Jan 26, 2024
🇾🇪 Ansarallah Commander, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr El-Din Al-Houthi's speech today, January 25th, 2024 (1/2):

The Arab-"israeli" struggle has never before witnessed such prolonged aggression, with the same level of criminality, and in a limited area like the Gaza Strip. The number of injured now constitutes a percentage of Gaza's population, a situation unparalleled in events around the world.

The barbaric aggression of the zionist enemy is met with unparalleled steadfastness and heroism by the fighters in Gaza and the people.

Never in the history of the Arab-"israeli" conflict has any Arab army or coalition of Arab armies shown the same level of endurance as the fighters in Gaza.

The zionist enemy's losses have reached thousands of killed and wounded soldiers, along with an unprecedented shaking of the entity and a complete failure to achieve its hoped-for objectives. As they fail to achieve their declared objectives, they resort to committing extremely terrible crimes.

The economic losses of the zionist enemy are significant despite U.S. and Western financial and military support.

Thanks to the steadfastness of the fighters and people in Gaza, the equation has become "If you suffer, they suffer as you do."

The enemy has failed to break the will and determination of the fighters and people in Gaza and to crush their morale.

Had Muslims provided the necessary support to the Palestinian people and their fighters, the equation would have changed entirely.

International institutions watch what is happening in Gaza, Palestine, but where is the practical stance?

U.S. and Western decisions do not address the zionist enemy's genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza.

The statements issued by international institutions never accurately describe what is happening in Gaza.

The primary and main reason for the continuation of zionist criminality and international inaction is the U.S. stance.

The U.S. insists on keeping Gaza under total siege and keeping the Rafah crossing closed most of the time.

While the U.S. fights for "israeli" supply lines, it has refused the arrival of food and medicine to the people of Gaza and has escalated against our country despite the cost of this escalation.

The U.S. sends its officers to participate in managing zionist crimes against the people of Gaza.

The U.S. directly contributes to starving the Palestinian people, intending for them to die of hunger, not just by the bombs it provides for killing them.

The U.S. escalation against our country is costly economically and has negative consequences in widening the conflict.

The U.S. does not care about threatening international navigation or turning the Red Sea into a battlefield, escalating the conflict, destabilizing the regional situation, nor about allowing food and medicine to reach the people of Gaza.

Our people's battle today to support the Palestinian people is not a separate or side battle as the U.S. tries to portray.

Our battle to support the Palestinian people since the start of the aggression on Gaza is ongoing and fully linked to what is happening in Gaza.

So far, our operations have included bombarding with more than 200 drones and over 50 ballistic and cruise missiles.

Our country will continue its operations until food and medicine reach all inhabitants of Gaza and zionist criminality stops.

Our human conscience, religious affiliation, and brotherly ties with the Palestinian people prevent us from remaining silent or indifferent without taking a stance.

The U.S. insistence on protecting zionist criminality and rejecting a fair humanitarian equation will not affect our stance and will never make us retreat.

The U.S. tries to label its aggression against our country and its protection of zionist criminality as protection of international navigation! Through its blatant deceit, the U.S. aims to involve others in protecting zionist criminality.

🇾🇪 Ansarallah Commander, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr El-Din Al-Houthi's speech today, January 25th, 2024 (2/2):

Since the beginning of our operations in the Red Sea, 4874 commercial ships have passed, which is a very large number during this period. And everyone knows who our target is, but the Americans seek to deceive.

The American aggression on our country is not based on the United Nations nor the Security Council. What the Americans and the British are doing is a threat to international navigation and a violation of the sovereignty of the countries bordering the Red Sea.

There is a global awakening despite the scale of American deception and media propaganda. We advise European peoples to be cautious of the American entanglement of their governments and the exploitation of their funds.

We clearly target ships associated with “israel” with our goal being to pressure for the delivery of medicine and food to the Palestinian people in Gaza and to prevent zionist crimes. Our goal is clear and sacred, and at the same time a humanitarian demand that should be met.

Regardless of American and British escalation, it will be counterproductive and will not affect our decision and stance. We are engaged in sacred work, which we consider part of our jihad for the sake of Allah, and it will not affect our military capabilities, rather we are continuously developing them.

The results of the aggression will be averse to the enemies in terms of costs, tension in the situation, expansion of the conflict, and threat to maritime navigation.

The only solution is to bring food and medicine to the people of Gaza and stop the crimes of genocide. The longer the aggression on Gaza lasts, the greater the responsibility on our Islamic nation to act more vigorously and strongly.

The more the “israeli” and American insist on continuing their crimes, the more we must be determined and resolute to prevent it.

Protests must continue even in Western countries, in Europe, America, and elsewhere. The activities of the Arab and Islamic communities must continue. There must be a broad and increasingly escalating movement to pressure for stopping the terrible and atrocious crimes against the Palestinian people. There must be intense media activity to highlight the plight of the Palestinian people.

The importance of boycotting American and “israeli” goods and its consequences must continue to be emphasized.

The mass movement is very important to demand the stopping of aggression on Gaza and ending the crimes against the Palestinian people. It is a sacred responsibility and participating in it is considered jihad for the sake of Allah, the Almighty. Neglecting it is a grave sin and a very dangerous matter.

It is important to have a cultural and historical background about the conflict with the zionist enemy and the dangerous role of the zionist Jewish lobby, and to raise awareness about the dangers of neglect, omission, and the consequences of the silence and inaction of peoples in the face of what is happening in Gaza.

Peoples suffering from severe repression by their regimes can activate the boycott of American and “Israeli” goods.

Our beloved Muslim Yemeni people have set an example by their comprehensive movement at all levels. The weekly mass demonstartions of our people, including last week's demonstration in the rain in Al-Sab’een Square, set an example. Our people's chanting for Palestine, “You are not alone” and “With you until victory,” is a title for our people expressing a commitment that will be honored.

Our Yemeni people will not leave Gaza alone, and people will not stay in their homes ignoring what is happening, but the mass exits will continue.

I call on our people to continue the very large weekly mass popular exits. And call for a large gathering and demonstration tomorrow, Friday, in Al-Sab’een Square in the capital Sanaa and other provinces.

Our people will confirm tomorrow, God willing, to the Palestinian people in Gaza that they are not alone and that we are with them until victory.

From Heidegger's Nazism to Habermas's Zionism, the suffering of the 'Other' is of little consequence

German philosopher Jurgen Habermas speaks in the Greek capital, Athens, in August 2013 (Louisa Gouliamaki/AFP)

Imagine if Iran, Syria, Lebanon, or Turkey - fully backed, armed and diplomatically protected by Russia and China - had the will and the wherewithal to bomb Tel Aviv for three months, day and night, murder tens of thousands of Israelis, maim countless more and make millions homeless, and turn the city into a heap of uninhabitable rubble, like Gaza today.

Just imagine it for a few seconds: Iran and its allies deliberately targeting populated parts of Tel Aviv, hospitals, synagogues, schools, universities, libraries - or indeed any populated place - to ensure maximum civilian casualties. They would tell the world they were just looking for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his war cabinet.

Ask yourself what the US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia and Germany in particular would do within 24 hours of the onslaught of this fictional scenario.

Now come back to reality, and consider the fact that since 7 October (and for decades before that date), Tel Aviv’s western allies have not only witnessed what Israel has done to the Palestinian people, but have also provided it with military equipment, bombs, munitions and diplomatic coverage, while American media outlets have offered ideological justifications for the slaughter and genocide of Palestinians.

The aforementioned fictional scenario would not be tolerated for a day by the existing world order. With the military thuggery of the US, Europe, Australia and Canada fully behind Israel, we helpless people of the world, just like Palestinians, do not count. This is not just a political reality; it is also pertinent to the moral imaginary and philosophical universe of the thing that calls itself “the West”.

Those of us outside the European sphere of moral imagination do not exist in their philosophical universe. Arabs, Iranians and Muslims; or people in Asia, Africa and Latin America - we do not have any ontological reality for European philosophers, except as a metaphysical menace that must be conquered and quieted.

Beginning with Immanuel Kant and Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, and continuing with Emmanuel Levinas and Slavoj Zizek, we are oddities, things, knowable objects that Orientalists were tasked with deciphering. As such, the murder of tens of thousands of us by Israel, or the US and its European allies, does not cause the slightest pause in the minds of European philosophers.

Tribal European audiences

If you doubt that, just take a look at leading European philosopher Jurgen Habermas and a few of his colleagues, who in an astoundingly barefaced act of cruel vulgarity, have come out in support of Israel’s slaughter of Palestinians. The question is no longer what we might think of Habermas, now 94, as a human being. The question is what we might think of him as a social scientist, philosopher and critical thinker. Does what he thinks matter to the world anymore, if it ever did?

The world has been asking similar questions about another major German philosopher, Martin Heidegger, in light of his pernicious affiliations with Nazism. In my opinion, we must now ask such questions about Habermas’s violent Zionism and the significant consequences for what we might think of his entire philosophical project?

If Habermas has not an iota of space in his moral imagination for people such as Palestinians, do we have any reason to consider his entire philosophical project as being in any way related to the rest of humanity - beyond his immediate tribal European audiences?

In an open letter to Habermas, distinguished Iranian sociologist Asef Bayat said he “contradicts his own ideas” when it comes to the situation in Gaza. With all due respect, I beg to differ. I believe Habermas’s disregard for Palestinian lives is entirely consistent with his Zionism. It is perfectly consistent with the worldview in which non-Europeans are not completely human, or are “human animals”, as Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant has openly declared.

In its disregard for Palestinian lives, Habermas’s Zionism has thus joined Heidegger’s Nazism

This utter disregard for Palestinians is deeply rooted in the German and European philosophical imagination. The common wisdom is that out of the guilt of the Holocaust, Germans have developed a solid commitment to Israel.

But to the rest of the world, as now evidenced by the magnificent document that South Africa has presented to the International Court of Justice, there is a perfect consistency between what Germany did during its Nazi era and what it is now doing during its Zionist era.

I believe that Habermas’s position is in line with the German state policy of partaking in the Zionist slaughter of Palestinians. It is also in line with what passes for the “German left”, with their equally racist, Islamophobic and xenophobic hatred of Arabs and Muslims, and their wholesale support for the genocidal actions of the Israeli settler colony.

We must be forgiven if we thought what Germany had today was not Holocaust guilt, but genocide nostalgia, as it has vicariously indulged in Israel’s slaughter of Palestinians over the past century (not just the past 100 days).

Moral depravity

The charge of Eurocentrism that is consistently levelled against European philosophers’ conception of the world is not based merely on an epistemic flaw in their thinking. It is a consistent sign of moral depravity. On multiple past occasions, I have pointed out the incurable racism at the heart of European philosophical thinking and its most celebrated representatives today.

This moral depravity is not just a political faux pas or an ideological blind spot. It is written deeply into their philosophical imaginations, which have remained incurably tribal.

The world has been awoken from the false slumber of European ethno-philosophy. Today, we owe this liberation to the suffering of peoples such as the Palestinians

Here, we must recap the glorious Martinican poet Aime Cesaire’s famous statement: “Yes, it would be worthwhile to study clinically, in detail, the steps taken by Hitler and Hitlerism and to reveal to the very distinguished, very humanistic, very Christian bourgeois of the 20th century that without his being aware of it, he has a Hitler inside him, that Hitler inhabits him, that Hitler is his demon, that if he rails against him, he is being inconsistent and that, at bottom, what he cannot forgive Hitler for is not crime in itself, the crime against man, it is not the humiliation of man as such, it is the crime against the white man, the humiliation of the white man, and the fact that he applied to Europe colonialist procedures which until then had been reserved exclusively for [Arab, Indian and African peoples].”

Palestine is today an extension of the colonial atrocities Cesaire cites in this passage. Habermas appears ignorant that his endorsement of the slaughter of Palestinians is completely consistent with what his ancestors did in Namibia during the Herero and Namaqua genocide. Like the proverbial ostrich, German philosophers have stuck their heads inside their European delusions, thinking the world does not see them for what they are.

Foreign AffairsJordan Air Drops Medical Aid In Battered Gaza by Bescdmsd(op): 1:12am On Nov 06, 2023
King Abdullah II announced in a tweet, released during the early hours of Monday, that the Royal Jordanian Air Forces successfully conducted an overnight airdrop of critical medical and pharmaceutical supplies to the Jordanian field hospital in Gaza Strip.

His Majesty added on the (X) platform, "Our fearless air force personnel air-dropped at midnight urgent medical aid to the Jordanian field hospital in Gaza. This is our duty to aid our brothers and sisters injured in the war on Gaza. We will always be there for our Palestinian brethren."

A correspondent for the Gaza Now page, account, and channel: confirms that boxes were dropped from an air plane in Gaza, and this confirms what Jordanian King Abdullah II said about an air drop of urgent medical aid to the field hospital in Gaza 🇵🇸🇯🇴

For the first time in more than 20 years, “an Arab plane made a landing operation over the skies of Gaza.”

Foreign AffairsIsrael's PM Disregard His Comment Linking Hamas Attack To Reservist Protest by Bescdmsd(op): 12:41am On Nov 06, 2023
JERUSALEM (Reuters) -Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appeared to backtarck on a comment he was reported to have made earlier about the need to check if a pre-war protest among army reservists pushed Hamas to carry out its attack last month.

Israel's Channel 12 and other news outlets reported that Netanyahu said there may be a need to examine whether months of protests against his government, including by reservists who said they would no longer report for regular duty, added to Hamas' motivation to carry out the Oct. 7 rampage through southern Israel that triggered the current war.

But after public backlash, Netanyahu posted on X that Hamas started a war "because it wants to kill us all and not because of any argument within us."

"Hamas was wrong - and therefore will be eliminated. Only together will we win," Netanyahu said.

Earlier, Benny Gantz, who joined Netanyahu's war cabinet from the opposition as part of an emergency government, said Netanyahu must retract his comment.

"Avoiding responsibility and slinging mud at the time of war is a blow to the country," Gantz wrote on social media platform X.

On Saturday, protesters gathered outside Netanyahu's residence, chanting "Jail Now!" in a public display of anger at the failures that led to last month's deadly attack by Hamas gunmen on Israeli communities around the Gaza Strip.

The protest, which coincided with a poll showing more than three quarters of Israelis believe Netanyahu should resign, underlined the growing public fury at their political and security leaders.
