Russia successfully test-fired a hypersonic Zircon cruise missile over a distance of about 1,000 kilometer (625 miles), the defense ministry said on Saturday.
The missile was fired from the Barents Sea and hit a target in the White Sea, it said.

Video released by the ministry showed the missile being fired from a ship and blazing into the sky on a steep trajectory.
President Vladimir Putin has described the Zircon as part of a new generation of unrivalled arms systems.
Hypersonic weapons can travel at nine times the speed of sound, and Russia has conducted previous test-launches of the Zircon from warships and submarines in the past year.
Russia’s military has suffered heavy losses of men and equipment during its three-month invasion of Ukraine, which it calls a “special operation,” but it has continued to stage high-profile weapons tests to remind the world of its prowess in missile technology.
Last month it test-launched a new nuclear-capable intercontinental missile, the Sarmat, capable of carrying 10 or more warheads and striking the United States.

In the midst of a War where Putin claimed that the expansion of NATO is the main reason why he Invaded Ukraine, Finland and Sweden have applied to join NATO.

Why didn't he Invade and attack Finland and Sweden since he didn't want NATO expansion....

Putin shamelessly came out and told leaders of several nations at the last CSTO meeting that "he does not have a problem with Finland and Sweden joining NATO".

This War is about Putin's Leadership Capacity.

His Leadership Capacity was been questioned in Russia when thousands of Russian Speaking people where been killed in Ukraine.

On 11 November 2014, the Azov Battalion was officially incorporated into the National Guard of Ukraine. As of late March 2015, after a February ceasefire agreement, the battalion continued to defend Mariupol and fight separatists in Shyrokyne.

Members of the Azov battalion are Guilty of Crimes against Humanity. Some of them were killing Russian speaking population in the Donbas. And These Russian speaking people are their fellow Ukrainians.

So Putin's Leadership Capacity was been questioned. He was now seen as a Leader that had grown soft. So he had to act because failure to do so may lead to a coup or he may be Assassinated.

So Bros, forget about the NATO's expansion brouhaha...... That was a false flag for invasion.

I commented last month about how I see the War ending........... My Opinion.

Ukraine as we know it today would be no more. The Russian speaking people in the East would Join Russia.

Zelensky and his West Loving Troops would join the European Union.

Both sides cannot stay together and to avoid perpetual conflicts, separation is a Solution.


When Zelensky came to Office newly he tried to bring peace to the Donbas region through the Steinmeier Formula (Under the Supervision of France and Germany) but Opposition parties started a Protest and frustrated that move.

If he had successful implemented the Steinmeier Formula, we would not be here today.

I don't support War Crimes or Illegal Invasion by NATO or Russia. That is why I am against Putin's approach.

The Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) said air-defense crews are using the S-300V missile system to help with their "special military operation" to "demilitarize and denazify" the Donbas region.

The Russian military said the anti-ballistic missile system is very effective against both helicopters and aircraft as well as defending against cruise, air-launched and ground-launched missiles, claiming that a battery can control the airspace for miles around.

The S-300V is also used to down combat drones, including the Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) commonly used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

In other developments, Ukrainian officials said Russian forces have attacked over 40 towns in the eastern Donbas region.

They added that five civilians died, 12 were wounded and 47 civilian sites were destroyed or damaged in the latest attacks.

The death toll from shelling in Ukraine's second-largest city Kharkiv on May 26 has now reached nine people, including a baby.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on May 26 that lives are lost in Ukraine every moment the West delays putting more pressure on Russia. He said the Donbas could be left uninhabited by the invasion and accused Russia of carrying out a genocide in the region.

His foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba said Ukraine would not be able to counter the Russian offensive without more heavy weapons.

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree Wednesday that makes it easier for Ukrainians in occupied areas to become citizens of Russia.

Russia has also done away with the upper age limit for contractual service in its military.

Ukraine has called Russia's offer to lift the blockade of its Black Sea ports in return for the lifting of some sanctions "blackmail".

The blockade has led to shortages in wheat and cooking oil across the world.

Russian troops invaded Ukraine on February 24 in what the Kremlin is still calling a "special military operation." May 27 marks the 93rd day of the campaign.

From February 24 to May 26, the total combat losses of Russian troops stand at around 29,600 personnel, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian military also claims that Russia has lost 1,315 tanks, 3,235 armored fighting vehicles, 617 artillery systems, 201 multiple launch rocket systems, 93 anti-aircraft systems, 206 warplanes, 170 helicopters, 2,225 motor vehicles and fuel tankers, 13 vessels, 502 unmanned aerial vehicles, 47 units of special equipment, and 114 cruise missiles.

Meanwhile, the Russian MoD claims to have destroyed 179 Ukrainian planes and 127 helicopters, 1,019 unmanned aerial vehicles, 323 anti-aircraft missile systems, 3,266 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 433 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,682 field artillery and mortars, as well as 3,190 units of special military vehicles.
