The first line got me cracking. Appointing someone is not landmark achievement. U wait until performance is top Notch to commend an appointment. This govt and praising itself to d high heavens when its citizens r in hell seeing sheeeeeeeege is becoming very irritating and unbecoming

I've learnt in life that any time someone resorts to insults rather logical counters, that person is blatantly wrong and losing.
I resent bashir coz in d course of his support for d Buhari govt, he said some rubbish but he is right when he said kanu needs some reorientation and rehab b4 being integrated into society

It is not denigrating if it is true. The solution is not to fight her, it is to accept d truth she is saying and work on us to get better. All these counterattack is futile by d govt.
A reasonable govt will go on soul searching but not nigerian govt. Only good at xorrutpion. This set has added excellence at propaganda to it.
The ability and humilty to accept blame for d purpose of improvement is a great virtue

Politics / Re: Nigeria Has Joined BRICS As Partner Country by bewisemasses: 11:24am On Jan 18
Topman7:
Nigeria's acceptance as a BRICS partner country offers several potential benefits:

1. Economic Cooperation: Partnering with BRICS nations—Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa—can enhance Nigeria's trade relations, opening new markets for exports and attracting investments.

2. Currency Flexibility: Engaging with BRICS may allow Nigeria to conduct trade in local currencies, reducing dependence on the US dollar and mitigating exchange rate volatility.

3. Infrastructure Development: Collaboration with BRICS' New Development Bank could provide Nigeria with access to funding for critical infrastructure projects, fostering economic growth.

4. Global Influence: As a BRICS partner, Nigeria can participate in shaping policies that reflect the interests of developing nations, enhancing its diplomatic standing.

5. Knowledge Exchange: Partnership facilitates sharing of technological innovations and best practices in sectors like agriculture, energy, and education, contributing to Nigeria's development.

While these opportunities are promising, Nigeria must navigate challenges such as aligning its policies with BRICS objectives and ensuring that partnerships yield tangible benefits for its populace.

'President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration remains resolute in its mission to lead Nigeria towards economic inclusivity, sustainability, and shared prosperity'

Doesnt seem so at all sir. We only hear of him junketing the world, enjoying d perks of being president, constantly boging us with the overflogged issue of subsidy removal and other hard decisions. Well kudos on that, but pls move on sir. More work needs to be done. Roll ur sleeves and get to work sir.
The economy is in shambles. Every day news unfolds insecurity of unimaginable proportion. These r humans dying not chickens for heavens sake.
Many youths r unemployed engaging in yahoo plus and sports betting to survive. The future looks bleak for our youths. The budget for 360 members of NASS far outweighs that for education. The govt has no blueprint for solving d crisis of unemployment in d country.
This govt is govt for d elite alone. Its so sad.

To be honest during that election, alot of sensitization to enlighten majority of Nigerians esp the many illiterates on d danger of voting based on religion and ethnicity was massively done. Nigerians seemed to have gotten smarter. Unfortunately we were outsmarted by high class criminality and an abysmal electoral system.
Though there are still lots of ground to cover in terms of reversing d trend of voting based on religion and tribe by slower Nigerians, the tax bill shud overtime force d hand of the northern govts to address this overpopulating Nigeria with humans that cannot be taken care of or fed. Its terrible.
