There are situations that may warrant seriously kneeling down for someone. For example when we hurt someone to the extent that the person wants nothing to do with us. In such situations it may not be out of place to kneel to beg, REGARDLESS OF OUR GENDER, as it shows how sorry we are.

That said, I would not allow my wife kneel for me in public regardless of tradition. Fvck such traditions! Men like me started such traditions in the first place.

On wedding, yes! it's expected. beside that one is quite different becos you are not even begging ur husband for something or for forgiveness rather it's sign and a kind of promise u make before the public that you'll love and respect your husband both in and outside the home.it's a significant of love and respect and humility a woman should have for her husband, not that you'll be kneeling down all ur live to demonstrate.
