warrior101: Kneeling down is a gesture that counts when it comes to humility and respect... Are you saying that our parents who did it were dumb?

May be in ur culture. I have never seen my parents display such act in the public. they have been showing each other respect and been living in peace. not that they never had misunderstand but they know where they settle their differences (at home). no public display of madness.

U seem to emphasis that kneeling down in a public is a sign of ultimate respect but that's not true. what is the essence of my kneeling down if the apology is not sincerely from my heart? what happens if my actions say otherwise while i have knelt down in the public and apologized? you seem to derive more pleasure in seeing ur partner bow for you in the public. well, if that makes you feel alright, so be it. for me what matter is that i sincerely apologize from my heart and my actions shows that i sincerely do. he is not such a daft and insensitive not to see and forgive when i am sincerely sorry and apologize, except when i kneel down in the market square becos i want to show how i respects my husband.

If i don't respect my friend who else will i respect? did you forget that it's becos we respect each other that is the reason why our friendship continues? forget pride and ego abeg, we all know our positions as husband and wife, no one is taking each other for granted. the truth is if you marry ur friend, there's this atmospheric condition u'll enjoy, ''peace and ease''. not bossy and servant relationship even when you know he is the boss he doesn't make u feel less of himself.

@ goodmike, u can compel a child to apologize but not an adult not even ur spouse. of course it's wrong if a partner finds it difficult to apologize immediately or afterwards when he or she has done wrong. but demanding that he or she kneels down becos you deserve an apology is being wicked urself and that's humiliation.

That's what happen when people marry their boss anyway.

I cant stand my man kneeling down for me in the public apart from the wedding day and am sure he wouldn't.
A man can tell whether his wife is respectful and humble from the way she treats him at home and in the public,both in his presence and absence.
not faking kneeling down in the public, not like we are acting drama.
