gratiaeo: My friend its not proper in Obeledu, Anambra state, were i came from we have a documented list for traditional marriage and I'll bet you that its not above 90 thousand naira both bride price and every other thing...... I don't know what's wrong with Imo peoples, no wonder their single ladies full everywhere, i dated one of their girl but i couldn't marry her due to (high bride price) the same problem, today I'm happily married with kids.... They are spoiling market for their young girls

there is nothing like general list in Imo State. Different villages have there different lists and and so their bride prices. I know of a place where everything in their list is just 30k, I know another place theirs is 70k and another about 100k and above. And families differ, if you enter good family, your inlaws will make things easier for you and am sure it's the same with other neighboring states. Our girls no for any bad market abeg.

chronique: Really? These days,it's only their men dat are marrying them. Most tribes dont look their way again. I had one Imo friend dat I used to like way back but d day she told me bride price is 1m plus plenty expensive stuffs to follow,I lost interest. I learnt even after all d wahala,some pple might end up not leaving with their wife on d wedding day due to many extra stuffs the family will start demanding on dat day. I just got totally pissed off. But in all honesty sha,Imo girls are pretty.

my dear it's good for you as you backed out, no need to get pissed. Our men are meeting up. Beside all those things u said are u hear say not fact becos I have never seen anywhere where a man wants to marry and becos he doesn't have millions they prevent him. Of course they would come up with lists and prices, and the cowardly will pick race but the mature man will find his way in and get what he is looking for even without much. all those things are to challenge you and to test your ability as a man u claims u r. They have always sort themselves out. our men even takes pride that they marry their wives well and so treats them like gold yes costly one and they take good care of them.
