1. Oh Liverpool, your victory in the recent weeks has brought joy to the heart of your lovers all around the world. 2. It gladdens my heart that your favourite alphabet is now letter ‘W’ (WWWWWWW) like a World Wide Web (WWW). As you take on your battles one after the other, I will like to see more ‘W’. 3. You remain the only POOL from the city of LIVER that is greater, bigger and have more achievements than a SEA from the city of CHEL. 4. You have taught your soldiers that diligence is key to winning battles. 5. It is written, “Seeth thou a man diligent in his business, he shall stand before kings and he shall not stand before mean men. 6. It showed in the way they take possession and attack the enemies and also in the way they defend their territory. 7. You don’t recruit the best but always bring the best out people you recruit. You are making names for people of low reputation and backgrounds. 8. Be cautious of the camp of the enemies as they will always come to lure away your best Generals. 9. It is written, “resist the devil and he shall flee from you”. 10. Therefore I urge you to resist any temptation of letting any of your Generals leave so soon (especially as we approach the January transfer window). 11. Warn the people of the city not to sing the praise of a few of the force. 12. If they win, all be praised. 13. If they loose, all be scolded. 14. Teach them to love one another for it is a command from the Lord. 15. My letter to you will be incomplete if I fail to applaud the rejected stone from the CITY of MEN. He is now a strong General in the middle portion of the fighting field. 16. It is written, “the stone which the builders rejected has now become the chief corner stone”. 17. Lest I forget, the General who is the SON of HEN and DER should be encouraged to do more. 18. He should learn to bring down the enemies before they hit the target. 19. He should also train more on how to shoot and supply weapon of mars destruction into the camp of the enemies. 20. It is written, “to whom much is given, much is expected”. 21. He should stop running after the enemies without them feeling his impact. 22. To the Commander in chief of the boys, Field Marshal Jogging. I throw a salute. 23. Your courage to re-strategize during the battle of the champions against the army from PARTY and GERMS. Kindly disregard distractions from other commanders especially Field Marshal RHINO. 24. The joy of the victory tasted like honey in my heart. 25. Thanks to the one-eyed General for that decisive missile. 26. I will not forgive myself if I don’t talk about your new recruits. 27. Their coming has made the force become stronger. 28. Remember when two of your Generals got hit during the battle of the champions. 29. The first being the General from the CHAMBERS who got hit on his knee. 30. The second was when one General RAM of the REAL from the land the MAD rammed General Lah Lah on the floor, breaking his shoulder. 31. There was little or no option of who to send to the battle field. 32. Today, in your force, You ‘ve got Major General SHARK, Brigadier FABULOUS, Lieutenant General GREATER. 33. Can I forget to speak about the keeper of the gate? 34. The former gate keeper, Lieutenant Clonel CARROT did you great harm. 35. He allowed the missile of the enemies go past him causing all your lovers pain worldwide. 36. It is good that he has been sent to the land of the BEGGING STARS. 37. The new gate keeper I was informed is from the land of BRASS and STEEL. No wonder he is strong and tough. 38. Warn him that the enemies attacking from the SHIP are swift and faster than those in the AERIAL battle. 39. Therefore, he should be decisive in shooting the bullet off the gate. 40. I remembered when a certain NACHO soldier from the city of the LIEING ESTHER got the weapon from him. 41. He should be careful so as not to be sent to the city of the ROAMERS. 42. Greet all the other soldiers in the army. 43. Especially General main MAN, he has been fighting well so far. 44. Warn him not to be envious of General LAH LAH. It’s all about the team not about one person. 45. Greet the slim but FIRM General (also the one-eyed General). 46. I salute General VANPIRE, the Colonel from the land of the ORIGIN, Colonel SO LANKY. 47. I can see the impact of the Major-General whose dancing steps can make RIDGES. 48. The Lieutenant-General that fights like ARNOLD SHWARZENEGGER has really done well in defending the right wing of your territory. 49. The GO MESS them up Lieutenant-General has really stood in for the General who is the LOVER of HEN. 50. I have not seen much of the General who hate to sleep on MAT in recent battles. 51. The Brigadier we asked to give MORE but said NO, was covered up by the Lieutenant General ROBO COP. It’s a welcome development. 52. Kudos to the General who is from NEITHER LAND nor sea…but with a great WILL. 53. How is the General from the CHAMBERS faring? I learnt he will be out of the battles till late 2019. I wish him a quick recovery. 54. Time will not permit me to talk about other foot soldiers sent to other camp especially the son of the KINGS…He will not be in the line of duty as you battle the AMPUTEES from the SOUTH (Since he is one of our foot soldiers). 55. I was told of how the MEN from the CITY fell prey to the LIONS who are kinsmen of the men from PARTY and GERMS whom you defeated during the battles of the Champions in the FIELD of AN. 56. I will write you immediately after your battle against the AMPUTEES from the SOUTH. 57. Regards to the QueenElizabeth II. Tell her the His Excellency President Mohammadu Buhari is doing his best to ensure Nigeria becomes better. 58. God bless England, God bless Nigeria, God Bless Liverpool, God bless Lagos and God bless me. 59. I remain your Fan from Nigeria…Keep Winning and make us proud…Adebayo Babatunde Bolaji. |
meobizy:She is currently studying in the UK through scholarship. She took the first picture some years ago in her secondary school days (in her village in Elebele). Next time, kindly ask for clarification before jumping into conclusion. |

I sought for her permission before posting this. Her name is Wele (for short). She was one of my students in Elebele, Bayelsa state during my NYSC days (2008). She posted the images below on her facebook page. In one of the pictures, she was carrying a Chelsea bag (2010) in her home village in Bayelsa State and the other pictures, her dream is already a reality (2018). The future you cannot picture cannot become a reality. Start seeing and imagining something good about yourself (op inclusive). Keep soaring high Wele. |
oxladexo:No, I am not confusing myself. Mathematically, R cannot and should not be a whole number. We were only taught how to get the correct answer without understanding the principle. Mathematics is all about understanding the principle (not just about answers). For example, if you are asked to solve 5% of 10, do you say it is 50? No! You do not decide to use the 5 as a whole number because of the percent. Or if you are told to arrange in ascending order : 5%, 2, 4, 3 ,and 1. Will you say 5% is the biggest just because you decide to take it as whole number? No! My point is on the interpretation not the answer (You can as well check youtube and google). Please do reason it with an open mind and do get back. |
sylvez:The rate is 0.05 not 5...that is the issue with this formula. We input rate as a whole number. This is wrong. Kindly research further. |
OrestesDante:Omo, I get work ooo... I be confirm teacher. I dey do am with passion. Things don change as per simple interest and he be like our publishers dem never notice. If na lie check for formula of simple interest. We need change this method... na wetin I dey try do be that ooo. No mind that my small friend. |
femi4:Must you insult me while expressing yourself? It shows the kind of person you are. In the principal, did you see the sign of money. It is just expression of the terms without the units. |
femi4:To answer this question, I=PRT, R=I/PT I=136.50 P=600 T=3.5 R= X%=X/100 By sustitution, X/100 = 136.50/600*3.5 Cross multiply, you have 600*3.5*X = 136.50 *100 X= 13650/600*3.5 = 6.5 (not 6.5 %) R= X% = 6.5%. |
femi4:Can't see any question...type it. |
femi4:I won't give up on you, I will treat you as my student who is finding it real hard to readjust his brain...the fact that it was once like that does not mean that it cannot change (that is the issue you are having). You don't decide what you want to use as rate, the value of R is always "x%". I am yet to see where R is given as "x" (can you show me one). Since R is always given as x%, the formula remains I=PRT. You are a mathematician, get it right bro (calm down and stop insulting me) |
alex81:Thanks... just want to bring it to the awareness of our publishers so that they can do the needful. Do you know who I can approach for the game to be turned to an app? Thanks once again. |
femi4:I can see you are a learner... you said % means over 100 (i.e 6.5/100), can you work out the interest by substituting it into your formula I=PRT/100. Check out your answer with the value of interest in the question. Open your mind and see that mathematically, I=PRT and not I=PRT/100. Olodo square! |
femi4:Thank you exactly what I am pointing out to you. You are contradicting yourself...maybe you should see the video. % means over 100 and should be interpreted as such in any given question (with explanation to the pupils/students). Check out my previous explanation maybe your OLODO square brain will pick something. |
alex81:I am teacher and I can point out things that are not done rightly in my profession. Mathematics is a universal subject. Simple interest formula cannot be two. We should apply what is universally accepted and teach it the right way (interpreting it to the latter). We should make our pupils/students understand the subject not just cramming. Anyway, in my field I have two board games I have created (awaiting for publication and distribution) |
Where are the maths gurus in the house...Let us discuss this issue at hand. |
femi4:In your given example, I=PRT/100, recall that you said if you use this formula, you R will be defined as rate (not in percent). The final answer therefore should not contain the symbol (%) (If this was done, then i will agree with you). Things are changing bro, the fact that we have been using it for long does not mean it cannot be changed. I can defend this to the latter. I have a video on how to calculate rate in a given question, I will post it soon. LEARN, UNLEARN AND RELEARN. |
femi4:Must you insult me? No problem... In any given question, rate is always given in %, except you want to start forming your own question. Open your mind and learn. Once it is given in percent (%), it automatically mean a fraction or a decimal. Except if the question gives rate as an ordinary figure (and I am yet to see one). I said google it and get back. Don't insult me again or else I will not answer you again. |
sylvez:In a given question, the rate is always given as % per annum, right? That symbol makes the rate a decimal or fraction. For example, find the simple interest on #5000 at 5% for 1 year. I = PRT P=#5000 R= 5% (NOT 5) = 5/100 OR 0.05 T= 1 YEAR I = 5000 * 0.05 * 1 = #250 If you divide it by another 100, the answer will be wrong. What I am saying in essence is that we should teach the topic the right way by interpreting the rate in a given question as fraction or decimal. Hope you understand now. Google it and get back to me. |
femi4:You are the one who need to get the grammar right...Have you seen any question where the rate is give as ordinary figure without the symbol %? What is the meaning of that symbol %? For example 10% (it means 10/100 or 0.01). Check your simple interest questions then get back to me. You can also google out the formula for finding simple interest. |
Ocheinstein:Most countries no longer solve it as PRT/100 (which is incorrect), but PRT. Since mathematics is a universal subject, we need to also look into it and do the needful. |
If 100 is given as a constant in the formula and a rate is given as %(which means R/100) in a given question, then there will be 2 100's as denominators. Mathematically, what we have been solving as simple interest is simply wrong. |
We were taught in basic and secondary school that the formula for finding simple interest is I = PRT/100. This is actually wrong as the formula for finding simple interest is I = PRT. Pass it across till it get to all stakeholders in the education sector so that this topic can be reviewed. Check out the video below for explanation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KobY0KuS4w |
Time is 12 noon...today |
Tomorrow is the day we are waiting for... join us @ Covenant House. |
Your friends may pass MATHS through the wide way(expo) but you have to pass MATHS through the narrow way(study). It is written, enter ye in at the straight gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because straight is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it. Join us on Saturday 15th April, 2015 @ Covenant House as we discuss on the topic: MY BRAIN IS WIRED TO DO MATHS. Time is 12 noon. Free! Free!! Free!!!. |
2 days to go...make it a date with us and invite somebody. |
COUNTING DOWN...3 DAYS TO GO. |
God has given us a robust brain...whatever we do with it is left to us.
