I am not in a good situation at the moment. I am in love with a guy who has a girlfriend.Before you judge me here is my story.I am a lady in my late 20s, pretty, funny, lovable and a good christian but the major problem I have been facing since I knew about dating is the kind of guys I get attracted,they are usually cool but unserious,have commitment issues, are emotionally unavailable and just want to sleep with me.I am very emotional and I tend to show my feelings towards a guy so soon.Secondly I have never had a relationship that lasted more than six months.

In my 4 years in the university, I didnt have any relationship, not that i didnt want but guys were not just coming.My friends always felt I should have a lot of admirers because of my looks but the reverse was the case.After school, the few ones I tried to have,turned out sour.One was my former fellowship pastor so I thought he will be serious as he was old enough for marriage.This was about 4 years ago.I was disappointed when I realised that he was just after sex.He started acting up, withdrawing, saying I was disturbing him emotionally and that he is tired.Later, he said we should do friends with benefit, I just cut him off totally. This was a supposed pastor trying to take advvantage of my weakness.

A year later in 2013 met another dude.It didnt last up to six months before we broke up due to our numerous differences.he also didnt make a commitment, the major thing was that we liked ourselves.It took me a long time to get time over him.fast forward to this year met a very funny and inteeligent guy.we met on an online socialnetworking site.he is in his 30's and he seemed just like my perfect man. There was this connection I had with him and we could talk about anything at anytime.snooped on his social media accounts and I didnt see any signs of a lady or girlfriend so I felt the coast was clear.Only for me to ask him one day and he says he is in a relationship,even showed me her photo.I had already started having feelings for him, it was hard to turn back.We were so attracted to each other and it was to hard to resist him even though I knew he just wanted sex from me.Dude travels out and isnt communicating like before, even though he told me his gf is in nigeria but I wasn't convinced.

Our major fallout was when on my birthday I didnt get message fro him until a day later, I decided to send a nasty message to him saying he was just after my body and all.Dude gets angry, I started apologising almost immediately, this happed in October.he just reads my messages doesnt reply doesnt pick my calls.Since the incident happend, I havent been myself, I have never begged or apologised to any one like this in my life, I have cried almost everyday for the past two months, I cant concentrate at work.He recently came back but didn't tell me but I found out on my own.Went to his house a few days ago unannounced just to apologize, He got more angry in the process saying he warned not to come without telling him.He said he has forgiven me and also apologized for leading on but ended up saying he has issues with people that dont trust him.The worst part is he knows I love him so he is doing this to hurt me more.

I just cant get him out of my mind, I think about him everyday, I am in a dilemma.we never had sex, we just kissed and touched so I dont understand what is going on. I still sent him msgs yesterday but he just read them and didnt reply.I have uninstalled my whatsapp because of him so I cant send him msgs.At this point, I am fed up, I don't why love treats me like this. I need your advice asap .

So, here we go...

Yesterday at the office, my boss walked up to us -his employees- and gave an impassioned talk about President Buhari's style of governance. He said, while he thought Buhari's attempt at recovering stolen funds were not out of place in itself, he was giving way too much attention to it. According to him, the President's lack of priority in this regard had become counter-productive and had started to prove detrimental to other areas that are in dire need his attention.

To drive home his point, he gave us a parable of an employer who kept N20,000 in his office somewhere, and on coming back to take it, he discovered that one of his Clerks had run off with it. After the discovery, the employer took the keys to the office, locked it up. He ran out with as much fury as he could muster, shouting to the hearing of all who would listen, "Who saw my boy?!!!", "Please, help me find him and get my money!!" All the while this employer was out looking for the stolen money, his shop remained under lock and key, no monies coming out, no monies going in. No customer, no profits in sight; he was making losses with every turn. Yet, ALL that mattered to him remained getting the thief of a boy, and recovering the stolen money.

My boss likened the employer in the above parable to President Buhari. He says our President has practically closed shop -Nigeria- and has decided to channel all his energy into getting stolen funds, forgetting that there is a bigger picture -an economy- that needs urgent attention; forgetting that the country might be going into a recession; forgetting that people are losing their jobs, forgetting that foreign investors are leaving, and more are 'plotting' to close shop and leave Nigeria; forgetting that an economy is not run by stolen funds which are recovered, but that if anything, they are to be regarded as "extras".

The above is how my boss sees things right now, and I agree with him.

I have to agree because, since coming into office, the activities of President Buhari's government has centered around just two things: 1. Foreign trips; and 2. Instigating the prosecution of looters of the past (who I must mention are not pro his government or pro-Apc). While the relevance of the above two can really not be downplayed, the fact remains that attention need to be given to the economy of Nigeria. As my boss said, no country has ever been run on recovered funds. Me thinks he needs to stay home a bit more, and pay attention to the alarms being raised by the World Bank and other bodies about Nigeria's economy. He need to share that attention he is giving the boy who stole the money.

Now, what's your own take about what my boss said?

#As an aside, he needs to stop talking so much about his predecessor -Jonathan. It's only a lazy man that blames his tools all the time.

its not about spewing trash.... ABSU actually invited people who never chose them for the second post UME and probably the supplementary forms (which she claimed she bought) but from what I've known about ABSU she can't get any of the hot courses even if she had 400overall as she never applied in the first place,,(its not in her jamb slip(s)) . but ABSU IS FOND OF THIS GOTO THE BOARD YOU SEE PEOPLE WITH 204average getting medicine... well LONG LEGS. BUT GOD'S GRACE MATTERS ALOT.

Its vewi annoying when this students pass through a lot and gets high grades and they aint giving admission. My younger brother got 266 and wasnt giving admission as well. i was told to pay 400,000,000 naira. This is rilly disappointing. I had opportunity to call the VC of ABSU and reported this to him and he banged the phone on me. Yet yu would hear this old ones saying we hav vewi poor graduates and they caused this problm. How can yu give admission to sum1 who got 214 against 286. Am sick n tired of Nigeria.

The truth is that if Absu wasn't her first choice of school in the utme, definitely even if she scored 400 her name won't be on the merit list. that is the school admission policy, it didn't start today. when it gets to supplementary, you will be advised not to choose medsurg by the school notice cause at that level it is based on who you know. this has been the practice in Absu over a decade now; your cousin should have made proper enquiries.

But why should a science or engineering student who had grade A and Bs in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Agricultural Science/Geography be denied admission because of a failure or a pass in English Language?

Prof Ambali if u are among them, I doff my hat 4 u, I hope u will not take us to December when we had only few weeks to exams, half semester is almost gone oo, anyway take your time but no matter the delay make sure anybody that scored 70% and above is given substantial consideration because that's an A anywhere. I don't wanna hear stories that touch from A students. For those that scored below 70%, God will do it for us. Na God get power pass!

Tuesday is December 1st. Some departments have started writing tests, and Monday would be the 7th week out of the supposed 13 weeks of lecture. What the hell is happening?

We could even ask some of us (the already admitted ones) to please screenshot what they're been taught in their various departments with us, instead of discussing about absolute jargons endlessly.

Coupled with the Christmas breaks in December, classes are likely to hold for 3weeks instead of four, furthermore, it is not even certain that the list would be out this coming week, and that's if they're gonna release it at all, thereby making it the 8th week of lecture.

Suffice to say, this thread is no longer serving it's purpose. Thanks to you all.

one of my friend meet the dvc on tuesday, what she told him was that the list is going to be release MAY BE next week. so this week is not even certain buh lets keep hoping sha i pray to God to make us laugh at last............

I support the motion bro. As if u know my mind. Been thinking of finding a means of getting in touch with any media publishing house, WRITE AN OPEN LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA AND MINISTER FOR EDUCATION.
