Living Legend and One of the Most Influential Musician of all Time, King Sunny Ade instituted a suit against African Songs and its subsidiary, Juju maestro 30 years ago, King Sunny Ade has just been rewarded with a whopping N500million as damages, for infringing on his works with additional cost of N3million for prosecuting the suit.

According to reports, a statement of claim filed before the court by a Lagos lawyer, Chief Felix Fagbohungbe, SAN, in 1975, a contract dispute arose between King Suny Ade and the two companies culminating in a judgement delivered by Justice Dosunmu of a Lagos High Court.
In the said judgement the court ordered the companies to return the master tapes of the original musical works produced under the label of the two companies by Sunny Ade, but the organizations held on to the tapes owing to the death of the Chief Executive Officer of the two companies, Chief Bolarinwa Abioro.

Consequently, in a bid to retrieve the master tapes, Sunny Ade in 1997 dragged the two companies before a Federal High Court in Lagos.

However, the big question on everyone’s lips is ‘Will KSA ever redeem this money’? In this case, the defendants either pay up or they can appeal. They have the right to appeal up to the Supreme Court if they are unsatisfied with the judgement. This could take a few more years

SAKA Ismaila Oreoluwa has emerged the best graduating student of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), with a 4.92 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).
At the University's 31st convocation, Oreoluwa was the toast of all, where the institution recorded 69 first class graduands. The event was graced by dignitaries such as the President of Ghana Dr. John Dramani Mahama; Kwara State Governor, Alhaji (Dr.) Abdulfatah Ahmed; the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, his Ilorin counterpart, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, among others.
Oreoluwa said he achieved the coveted feat through hard work and consistency, adding that no one can rule out God�s wish. He noted that he didn't follow any rigid study pattern during his stay at the institution.
On his involvement in campus politics, he said he is a politician, who deployed his skills to serve others, adding "I am a bit of a politician; I was the immediate past Financial Secretary of the Association of Statistics Student, and treasurer of the Unilorin Quiz/debate club, among others."
He said, "I don't really have a study pattern, though I read anytime of the day. All I need to do daily is to spend at least one hour on my academics. There are times I may not read for days due to busy schedules. I don't compete with anybody except myself. I maintain a normal life and never go to the extreme.
"I don't read that much; I spend a minimum of one to three hours reading most times. I make sure I read whenever I needed to; I don't read for reading sake. My one hour reading sometimes might equal someone else's seven days reading," he added.
Noting that he wants to become a leading problem solver, business analyst and an auditor, he said he liked applying the knowledge of statistics on the outside world and making meaningful interpretation for business world.
On the progression of his grades he said, "my CGPA started with 5.00 in 100 level, 4:97 in 200 level. It dropped to 4:90 after 300 level and I graduated with 4.92. One of the things the university taught me is how to relate well with people, because I used to be a shy person. On the average, I have more male friends than female and I treat all, equally."

Nigerian teenage brother Osine Ikhianosime (13) and Anesi Ikhianosime (15) have developed an Android web browser, Crocodile Browser Lite, which has been well received on Google’s playstore.
The free browser, describedas “Intuitive, Clean and Fast” browser for feature and low-end phones currently has 40, 000 downloads. The teenage brothers say they decided to create the web browser because, “We were fed up with Google Chrome,” according to Vanguard.
The duo developed a keen interest in technology and communication at a tender age.
Osine says his interest in computers and communications began at age seven, telling Vanguard that it was at this age that he and Anesi, who was nine at the time, came up with the idea of starting a company.
Both brothers write code and Anesi designs the user interface. The two eventually started the company which they called BluDoors.
The self-taught coding geek Anesi says: “I learnt to code by myself. I started in 2013, I used sites like Code Academy, Code Avengers and books like ‘Android for Game Development’ and ‘Games for Dummies’,” Vanguard reports. Osine on the other hand had a knack for computers at an early age.
The Crocodile Browser Lite app has been well received, with positive ratingson Google. The app currently has 2,517 reviews, receiving a five star rating 1,915 times.
A user, Ichiyoruwrote: “It’s so fast. I don’t think I’ve ever seen something load so fast in my entire life! It’s like an Internet dream!”. Zach the DualVissionwrote on Google playstore: “Seems like a good browser for lower end phones or phones on slow networks. It is really fast and has no extra bells or whistles. It runs tabs continuously which is good if you’re watching videos”.

Step 4

Step 6
Talk it up.Chat quietly while you work on her hair. Pick a topic that is intimate but not sexual, such as childhood imaginary friends or how you picture yourselves at age eighty. Don't talk about her hair at this point, unless it's to pay her more compliments. Bonus: being able to talk naturally and braid at the same time will make you look like a rock star.
Step 7
Make it last.If your girl appears to be enjoying the moment, keep it going. Slowly undo the braid and start over. Or, if you've braided just a small section, move on to another section. The more fluidly you can do this, the better.
Step 8
Wind it down.Slowly undo the braid (or braids) and finger comb her hair. Then try one of these ideas:
*.Smooth your hands down her hair, ending on her shoulders, then move into a little shoulder and neck massage.
*.Trace or gently tickle your fingers up and down her back a couple of times.
*.Plant a kiss or two on her neck or upper back.
Step 9
Let her know you've enjoyed yourself.Tell her that you loved touching her hair and that you hope she liked it too. It's a nice time to compliment her hair again.

The Court of Appeal has dismissed the ex-parte application by Senate President, Bukola Saraki, seeking to set aside the order made on Friday by the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) issuing bench warrant for Saraki’s arrest.
It said it cannot interfere with the proceedings pending at the lower court.
It will be in the interest of notice for the respondents to be put on notice.
Consequently the ex-parte application refused and the motion on notice set down for hearing on September 29
Justice Armed Mohammed of the Federal High Court, in another ruling just delivered, refused a similar application by Saraki.
He adjourned to September 30 for the hearing of the substantive suit by Saraki, challenging the competence of charge before the CCT and the preliminary objection filed by the CCT, Code of Conduct Tribunal and Federal Ministry of Justice.
Justice Mohammed held that, in view of the constitutional and radical nature of the issues raised in the respondents’ objection, it was reasonable for the court not to waste time on interlocutory applications.
