EducationRe: 24-year-old Kebbi Poly Student Electrocuted In Hostel by Bigboy289(m): 4:42pm On Sep 02, 2021

Update From . COM

A 24-year-old HND 1 Laboratory Science and Technology Student of the Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi, Khalid Kabir Argungu, was electrocuted in his hostel room while cooking, Reports.

From The Information Gathered By , The incident happened on Tuesday evening, August 31, when the student allegedly made contact with a naked wire while operating an electric stove.

Speaking to newsmen in his office on Wednesday, Rector of the Polytechnic, Arch. Muhammad Sani Aliyu, explained that the student was rushed to the institution's clinic but when the doctors and nurses realised that his condition was serious, they quickly took him to Sir Yahyah Memorial General Hospital in the metropolis where he was confirmed dead.

"We have set up a committee to investigate and unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of the student. And by the time the committee completes its investigation, we shall know what to do to stop the reoccurrences of such incident through their recommendations,” he said.

He, however, dismissed the insinuation that the management had closed the school, adding that students sharing the hostel with the deceased merely vacated the hostel as part of respect for their late colleague.

EducationRe: How Do I Remember Things I've Read Before Exams? by Bigboy289(m): 1:45pm On Aug 10, 2021
GiftedTitty:
First thing first, understand yourself!
How you read is very important but what you do while reading is even more important. Let me use myself as an example, I can read in the noisiest and distracting place ever and still assimilate well, but the moment I put something in my mouth, forget it! My brain is now processing the food. Whatever I read during that period is lost like I never see the write up before, I have to go back and look for where I mentally stopped. Likewise there are some things that might be distracting you, it might be noise, it might even be the worry and pressure you give yourself. Make sure you clear your mind and understand yourself.
Secondly do you love what you are studying? If no, then I guess that's where most of your problem comes from. I won't preach to you to develop love for your course cos I've heard similar sermons and they are so annoying. I had wrong subject combo in JAMB so didn't get the course of my choice, I then began to make plans to cross. Gbam! Thats when the problem started, my GPA made a free fall from 4.95 to 4.53. Why? While brain was trying to solve Spearman's Ranked Correlation in Economics, my mind was busy concocting different sort of codes. I wasn't mentally detached from the course I wanted to study, And the prospect of crossing raised my hopes so high that I wasn't paying attention to my immediate studies but began to see myself studying the course I wanted.
Thirdly your brain is assimilating, believe me it is!!
Have you failed a course before? Then it might be your brain playing tricks on you that no matter how you read this course e no go enter. I once read a course back to back only to get one yeye score in the test.. One would think I would buckle up for the exam but nooo!!!, I told myself, "if I read, its still one yeye score I'll get, so whats the use". The thing is our mindset is a very powerful thing it can either make or mar us, so use it positively, see yourself acing your courses it will give you enthusiasm to read more.. It works!! Don't wait till exam is near before you read that's your biggest mistake, the thing is that as you read after every class your brain is subconsciously assimilating it but you don't know. Read over and over as much as you can!
Finally make use of reading aids, like YouTube, you could read aloud and record your voice on your phone with a background beat or instrumental. Then listen to this anytime you don't feel like reading.... Set question for yourself using recorded audio like "Allotrope of carbon are how many in number?" then pause like five seconds and say the answer into what you are recording. The purpose of that pause is for you to answer the question, before you actually hear the answer when next you are listening to the audio. (This is the best reading method I'm know) Lastly write write write!!!!
Buying handouts and past questions will do you little good if they don't pass through your own handwriting. Nothing stops me from writing out a PDF or slide of over 200pages ( except I'm not interested in the course) I'm not insinuating you do this but don't just underline handouts and think you've killed it. Take notes, write down something. Every time you read write!!!
And don't forget above all pray! Last last success is ours..
Great

Thank you very much paul100 and most especially thank you for your response. Actually i heard about this method on YouTube most notably from a Cambridge medical student whose name goes by Ali Abdal and also, Cal newport talked about this method on his book(straight A students secret). this method has been proven to be the most used by top students all over institutions across the world.

I am an Accounting student myself and accounting courses include the combination of theory and calculations. But i can remember i used these two method (Active recall and spaced repetition) during my ND days(national diploma fro. Kaduna polytechnic) to squash big time making other students feel as if they are not serious. I graduated the second over all best with the second highestCGPA in my set and even my friend that graduated with the overall best result in our set uses this same method. The only problem i had in school was that me and him always drag for the best result each semester because we both know that we make use of same method for studying.
But i must say this method is not easy as it requires hardwork and disciple but the good thing is it works so well

P. S i am now in the university same with my friend who i said graduated as the overall best during our set and it would suprise you that he is currently on first class CGPA 4.66 in the university using these same methods he even made a 4.77 GPA last semester that's to show u how good this methods work, but as for me i got admitted in the same university as his this year whe he got admitted last year so that makes him a year above me so i am yet to have a GPA due to this covid 19 outburst.
I will follow your advice, too many subject makes the whole thing kind of hard to plan but your idea has made it easier for me thanks........
How did it go bro?

EducationRe: Women Can Reproduce Without Men by Bigboy289(m): 6:32pm On Aug 05, 2021
Hyerin:
You lot overestimate your importance. This isn't the 1800s or Prehistoric times were women needed men for basic survival. Studies have literally shown that married men are happier, tend to live longer than their single counterpart. While for married women, they're usually unhappy and miserable with single women being the happiest demographic. Based on this, you clearly need us than we need you outside reproduction. The Y chromosome is degenerative and will go extinct in some million years. With technological advancements, cum genetic engineering, as you've read in the post, females are capable of pathogenesis. When that's fully achieved, you're as good as gone. You're utterly dispensable. you know it and that's why there's so many projections from your ilk's end so you lot can feel better, to distract from the inadequacy. hypocritical to brag about building civilizations and the like, yet when it comes to absolute degeneracy, wickedness, crime and pure evil birthed from the depths of abyss and the soiling of hands as a result, suddenly there's no accountability and it now becomes both genders problem when the primary offenders have been men since the dawn of time and since then, the patriarchy has oppressed and subjugated women from every corner of the earth. In the past, women could not even vote, couldn't get better jobs or even jobs, couldn't own land, couldn't attain higher education or education even, was given away for marriage, treated like property, barely had rights, devalued, degraded, needed a male spouse to open a bank acc etc. In the middle East, women only recently began to drive. Some still can't go anywhere without a male's permission or approval. In some parts of the world like India and China female infanticide is still prevalent. Young girls in other parts, are sent into period huts on their periods because they're seen as unclean. In some places in Africa, young girls get their breasts ironed so they won't be predated upon by men, get their genitals mutilated and so many other oppressive cultural practices. And this is just the tip of the iceberg of what women have faced and still continue to face. Despite being constantly disempowered and at an automatic disadvantage by virtue of being born female, women still fight, work hard and contribute to the betterment of humanity. Who told you there aren't female inventors? Or entrepreneurs? Just because they aren't as big as the corporations you've mentioned doesn't mean there are non-existent. They are intelligent women who work behind the scenes and aren't given their due credit look at the African-American female mathematicians whose contributions were pivotal during the space race and so many others. Look at the women running the political sphere and other areas of functional importance. You're a joke to even spew such nonsense.

Divorce is initiated because men refuse to step up and be better. The major reasons why women divorce men is because of cheating and abuse (abuse manifests in all forms. It's not only when a man physically hits a woman). Outside that, the next is dissatisfaction. When you don't help out around the house, don't provide emotional support to their wives, leave all the labor to the woman then it's a recipe for disaster and rightfully so. Marriage is a partnership not a master-slave relationship. There should be equal sharing of duties so that there would be no room for imbalance. Divorce didn't occur that much in the past not because things were better then but because women couldn't legally divorce their husbands. If the woman was in an abusive marriage then she was trapped. There was literally no escape.

It's funny an aspect were sexism doesn't favour men, it suddenly becomes a problem. If you're so angry about alimony because it favours women more then you have to fight against income inequality. Men literally make more than women even when they're doing the same job or on the same level of competence. If that can be addressed and sorted out, then you would have no worries. Also, men create these single mothers. Why are they impregnating women they have no desire to marry? Why can't they use condoms or get vasectomies to prevent pregnancy from happening if they're engaging in unprotected sex? As usual, men hate to take accountability of their actions.
Feminist spotted cheesy
