French international winger Dimitri Payet has informed West Ham he no longer wants to play for the Hammers, Slaven Bilic has confirmed.
The 29-year-old is said to be frustrated with West Ham’s failure to build on last term successes and is eyeing a
move out of East London.
Arguably the best West Ham player from last season, Dimitri Payet struggled with the burden of high expectations throughout the current season himself. The French forward moved to West Ham in 2015 and his time with the Hammers appears to be coming to an end.
“We have said we don’t want to sell our best players, but Payet does not want to play for us. We are not going to sell him”, West Ham manager Slaven Bilic explained.
Payet has been the subject of intensified transfer talk over the past couple of weeks as Frenchman’s former side Marseille are reportedly weighing up an offer to bring him back to Stade Veledrome.
According to certain reports, Marseille are willing to offer as much as £35 million which could tempt West Ham to cash in on an unsettled star.

Having already signed Paul Pogba from Juventus last
summer for a world-record £100 million fee, Manchester United are ready to splash a great amount of money once again, in order to sign Atletico Madrid star striker
Antoine Griezmann.
The French international’s representatives are said to have already held talks with Manchester United this week to discuss terms of a proposed transfer, according to The Sun.
Premier League club are reportedly willing to offer huge £220,000 a week deal and make him the top-paid player alongside his France national team teammate Paul Pogba. Griezmann’s deal would also include identical bonuses to Pogba’s.
Atletico Madrid are reluctant to sell their key man and will hold on to the £86 million release clause, although Manchester United are attempting to sweeten the deal by offering players as makeweights.
Antoine Griezmann is playing in great form this season, having already scored 6 La Liga goals in 15 appearances.
The French international has been included in UEFA Team of the Year 2016 announced on Thursday.

Premier League champions Leicester City have all but agreed on a transfer of Genk starlet Wilfred Ndidi.
The 19-year-old Nigerian talent is currently plying his
trade at the Belgium side where he has caught the eye of Leicester City and according to reports from Ndidi’s homeland Claudio Ranieri’s team is set to welcome their first January addition.
A fee in excess of £15 million is reportedly agreed this week, prior to Genk’s 3-1 Cup win over Waasland-Beveren. Ndidi managed to get his name on the score sheet in the process and make an even bigger impression on his future employers watching from the stands.
Ndidi is also believed to have already picked a shirt number ahead of his imminent January move to King Power Stadium where he will be featuring with a 25 below his name on the Leicester shirt.
Nigerian defender Ndidi has so far made 16 First Division A appearances for Genk this season.

Tuttosport claims that Juventus officials have been impressed with talented defender Mattia Caldara, who has been in excellent form this season.
