In the UK he said it is not the way they told him. He is unable to get a job and Is being catered for by a stranger. man comes to my DM to cry everyday but I keep encouraging him to stay and don't come back because back home we sef are going through hell. In his words " I don't think any hell can be compared to what we face here. Atleast in Nigeria I have siblings and uncles that can accommodate me but over here without a job, I am depressed and suicidal with no support system"
He is a fighter and I know he will come out of it strong. Pls talk to him everyday… May God answer his prayer |

004gist: Most jobs here in uk to be precise are care work which is somehow like giving care to elderly..assisting in washing, preparing meal, cleaning and changing of nappies.
Nurses.. Working in hospitals
Then factory work where u work as unskilled workers.. This is for the strong because it's standing
Security...nighy watch
Carpenters, plumbing etc hand work
Office jobs are few and are mostly occupied by the British or those who knows their system and ascent... Like bank work, mangers etc.
Note that UK don't produce much.. They import shoes, cloths, electronics etc from China and Co but healthcare give it to UK If they don’t produce much And I guess they don’t really have much naturally resources So how do they make money? And continue to be a first world country? |

Complete selfishness… makes no sense at all.. and after all everyone will be blaming the government
If you know you won japa.. resign before you fly If you don’t trust ur village people… then send a resignation letter when you land successfully…
Government should try and introduce Headcount and biometrics monthly for all workers to keep them in tracks….
If they can follow NYSC system… it will save Nigeria lot of money |

But was the school owner wrong? www.giftiya.com It’s the decision of the owner that stand… The best thing for the Bsc holder is to resign and look for other job.. |

ivandragon: FX rates are a function of availability. Or as some like to put it, demand & supply.
P.S.
Every country has its own peculiarities about availability of the dollar. So let say they have the availability like from the black market with a little increase… For example Nigeria as a case study… #1.2 to $1 Can I just locate one black market to convert my #12k or so to $10k No Laff my ignorance… just trying to get a clear understanding 😏 |

Politics › Re: Nigerians React After Shehu Sani Shares $ Exchange Rate Of 10 African Countries by BigDawsNet: 10:15am On Jun 30, 2024 |
ivandragon: FX rates are important only to the extent upon which they impact on 1. Purchasing power and 2. Cost of living.
A country's exchange rate can be 1:1$, but the purchasing power of the masses would be so low and cost of living expensive.
Another country's rate can be 20000:1$ but the purchasing power of the masses would be reasonably average and cost of living moderate.
In summary, every action of government must be geared towards two key things first and foremost...
1. Ensure the masses have an above average purchasing power whereby spending a little of the local currency can buy a fairly large amount of BASIC NECESSITIES (food, clothing, etc)...
2. Ensure the cost of living is not beyond the reach of the common man (housing, health, transportation).
If governments can understand these two parameters, it would better allocate its scarce resources and be able to measure its level of progress... Let me ask this curious question For example Some country exchange rate maybe 1 to $1 Does it means if the citizens are require to study aboard with $10,000 They can easily get it because the exchange rate is equal |

expensive watches are made with precious material.. most of these watches can work for decades without stopping for once…
Then again for example Rolex holds/appreciates its value better than most, it’s pretty much guaranteed at this point. So u buy a watch for 5m, wear it for 10 years and sell it for 5m-10m, was it an expensive watch? |
