Rap star Lil Wayne was rushed to hospital yesterday after he reportedly suffered a seizure and was found unconscious in his Chicago hotel room.

The 34-year-old Grammy-winning star suffered a second seizure at the hospital, TMZ reported, and his representative confirmed to the site that he had suffered multiple seizures.

The incident comes more than a year after the rap star, whose Grammy wins include the best rap album award in 2008 for “Tha Carter III,” was treated after suffering what his representatives called two minor seizures.

Four years ago Lil Wayne, whose given name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr, spent several days at a Los Angeles hospital, after which he told radio station Power 106 he was epileptic and prone to seizures.

Ex-Niger Delta warlord, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, has revealed how the move by the Nigerian Government to rearrest leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, will be resisted.

Asari, the leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Salvation Force, NDPSF, spoke in a video where he also expressed doubt that it was President Muhammadu Buhari that returned from London.

Addressing “fellow Biafrans”, Asari said the same stone the biblical David used to crush Goliath is still available for Biafra.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has said that he would kill anybody who touches his wife, Pastor (Mrs) Foluke Adeboye.

He said, although he could not do anything to anybody who slaps, criticizes or lies against him, but to do such against his wife, he would kill the person.

Evans who is facing 52 criminal counts ranging from kidnapping to murder, says he promised God he would not lie in court.

The proposed Nigeria Police Broadcasting Service will hit the airwaves nationwide beginning from November 28, its Chairman/CEO, Ediri Jerry Wesley has promised.

The TV will begin with a fund-raising ceremony at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.

Speaking in an interview with journalists in Abuja, he commended the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, for working to ensure the realisation of the project.

Mr. Wesley said, “The NPBS will focus on four areas of operations (TV, Radio, Online and Emergency Control Centre). The project which is a Public Private Partnership with the Nigeria Police will help to curb insecurity by prompt respond to emergency situations.”

Unlike most broadcast organisations, the NPBS will not source for commercial adverts for sustainability, rather its survival will depend largely on sponsorship from corporate organisations and well-meaning Nigerians, Mr. Wesley said.

He said personnel for the channel would be trained by professionals from prominent broadcast organisations including the Cable News Network (CNN).

“About 5,000 young Nigerians will be engaged and trained by 50 expatriate (Professionals from CNN, BBC and other foreign media Organisations) for three years,” Mr. Wesley stated.

In order to reach all Nigerians irrespective of their educational background, transmission will also be done in both Pidgin English and other Nigerian Languages, he said.

The transfer deadline for Spanish clubs doesn’t close until midnight local time (2200GMT) on Friday, 24 hours after the rest of Europe’s major leagues.

However, despite reportedly making an offer of up to 160 million euros ($190 million) for the playmaker, Liverpool have refused to backtrack on their intention not to sell Coutinho.

“Barca will not sign Coutinho,” Barcelona-based sports daily Sport reported in their online edition, citing sources close to the player.

“The club has taken the decision to not insist in the final hours of the market.”

Barcelona have been under huge pressure to reinvest the 222 million euros the club banked from Neymar’s world record transfer to Paris Saint-Germain last month.

The Catalans have splashed 192 million euros on five signings, including 105 million on 20-year-old French winger Ousmane Dembele in a deal that could yet rise to 145 million depending on performance related bonuses.

The World Cup winner told Marca: “Barca still play really good football but they could have signed better.

“They’ve fallen asleep because five or six years ago they had the best players in the world for Barca’s system. Now, for that system, they have five or six players: [Andres] Iniesta, [Jordi] Alba, [Lionel] Messi, [Gerard] Pique, Luis Suarez, [Sergio] Busquets.

“But Barca should have 11 for that system. Before, you wouldn’t see anyone play and say: ‘He’d be good at Barca.’ That’s because they were already there. They have signed players that don’t fit that system.

“The academy has to be strengthened. If there are doubts, look at what you have in-house. In Barca’s best era, at least 60 percent of the players came from the academy.”

Electric Cars to Be Introduced Into Nigerian Market Next Year...Here's the Details You Need to Know

Nigus Enfinity, an indigenous firm, says it will introduce electric vehicles into the Nigerian automobile market in 2018 and that its local assembly plant for electric vehicles will be ready in 2020.

Malik Ado-Ibrahim, chairman of the company, made this known to journalists in an interactive session which held in Abuja on Thursday.

Ado-Ibrahim said several countries across the world have set targets for the ban of petrol-fuelled vehicles with India targeting 2030, and the United Kingdom, 2040.

He said Nigeria and Africa need to look inward to be at the fore of the automotive revolution or risk becoming waste bin for banned vehicles from other countries.

Ado-Ibrahim, who was the first African to lead the Formula 1 Team global race car competition in 1999, said his firm is already building a 100 megawatts (mw) solar power plant in Katsina and another in Adamawa state.

According to him, the company has also partnered with Build Your Dreams, a Chinese firm, to import electric vehicles at affordable costs from 2018.
“We are also working with BYD to get a local brand and start an electric vehicle assembly plant for Nigeria from 2020. Gradually we will move to an EV with the African DNA starting in Nigeria,” he said.
