Politicians, Kings, Ordinary Nigerians - in aggregate are effectively all the same as the exceptions are an overwhelming minority. The politicians are not from the Mars, they are all from our homes across our various communities. They represent who we truly are, in aggregate.

The politicians only get away with it because we ordinary Nigerians are evil and extremely poor in reasoning.

If you criticise a politician, another ordinary Nigerian that has probably never tasted the loot of that politician will start attacking you because of religion or tribe he shares..

While Politicians are bad ordinary Nigerians are worse, its almost the perfect match..

Who knows secession(split in to countries with similar ethnicity and religion) might be better for accountable leadership, but then again we black people always find a way to be stupid and hold ourselves down, might end up being worse..

You guys messed up, you had a good thing going and let it go over your head...
ESN protecting people from terrorist herders was good, I supported that. Most people did.

But Why openly support UGM, you didn't have Any weapons your only source of weaponry was attacking checkpoints and hijacking out dated AK 47..
And then you stepped up your foolishness with sit at homes, In such a shitty economy.
Interrupting the lives of those you claim to care for.

I don't know what you next foolishness is but, if you don't have reasonable weapons and reasonable allies SHUT UP ABOUT BIAFRA TILL YOU DO..
The only way to getting Biafra is by war And you are not ready so stop forcing the hand of tiger(yes right now Nigeria is a tiger and Biafra is a deer a wounded deer, that is very close to dying. I'm not a deer surgeon who knows the deer is probably dead)
IF you want to take up weapons do it the right way, Go all out but don't take up weapons in within Igbo land, Igbos aren't Self destructive, the only casualties should be the volunteers not innocent people.

But I know IPOB is ran by dimwits so I can't wait to see the next self destructive action you take.. My only hope is only foolish IPOB members remains casualties and not the innocent ( I know a vague wish, prolly won't come true)

Sometimes I wonder maybe ESN was the bad idea, what really was the worst that would happen if there was no Esn, the herders take land and kill people at most hundreds.
But now the federal government and army police DSS are doing that with far more deaths in thousands and hundreds of millions worth of properties destroyed and thousands of youths and innocent people in jail...
This just sucks embarassed
IPOB stop what you are doing
FG, DSS, army, police please stop

Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Mr. Peter Obi (in no order).

The reality is they do not have enough political base but when fully backed, any of them will do very well.

Mr. Babatunde Fashola, SAN (a good pick but he wouldn't have the backing from the homefront).

Our Politics is too toxic for this two (Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala & Mr. Akinwunmi Adesina), otherwise they will be top on my list.

5. FEMI FALANA, SAN
I am nominating Falana based on his consistent timely interventions in local political issues. Although he hasn't handled a public political office to prove what he can do as a President, he has enough professional and leadership experience to compensate for that. Falana's track records also portray him as a conscientious Nigerian.
LOL highest bidder, hypocritical holier than thou .

4. MR. DONALD DUKE
If you remember many innovative economic steps taken by Mr. Donald Duke in his days as the Governor of Cross River, you may not need anyone to tell you that he has what it takes to make a grand positive difference if he ever gets an opportunity to lead the country as a President. One area he stood out was in his creative IGR strategies whereby he created big revenue streams for the state out of nowhere.

For instance, with his famous Calabar Carnival, Mr. Duke instantly turned Calabar into an international tourist destination. He also did more in tourism by upgrading Obudu Cattle Ranch to an international standard (although I wonder why cattle is not ranched at the cattle ranch). The sheer cleanliness of the city of Calabar in Duke's days was enough tourist asset.

Then, Tinapa also comes to mind.

Donald Duke's extraordinary simplicity also speaks eloquently. He kept a low profile in his days as a governor. He continued with the title of 'Mr' even when he was doing better than professors. He never allowed his photo to be hung in public offices. And, he has never used his position as an ex-governor to gain political advantage over anyone. It's the reason he never went to the Senate like most other ex-governors.
REASONABLE but also invincible

3. DR. OGBONNAYA ONU
The first Executive Governor of Abia State, the immediate past Minister of Science and Technology, and the current Secretary to the Government of the Federation is a gentleman who hardly talks. So, many people may have written him off or even failed to notice him as a good candidate to take over the mantle of the Nigerian Presidency.

But, my reason for nominating him is due to his past records, intelligence, and personal stability. In case you don't know it, this is one of the few Nigerians who stuck with the opposition through out the PDP years. In a country where most politicians are prostitutes who keep switching sides based on what is convenient, this is a very commendable background to have.

A first-class graduate of chemical engineering from the University of Lagos who also holds a PhD in chemical engineering from the prestigious University of California in Berkeley, Onu is notably intelligent. And, he has maintained this intelligence all these years.

On the lighter side, as a chemical engineer who knows how to mix different chemicals, expect that Onu would be particularly good at administering a mixed country like Nigeria. There is truth in this joke though. You just need to see how cordially Onu is able to relate with people from different parts of the country to know that his PhD in chemical engineering also has a social twist to it. I also know him as a 'silent philanthropist'. He helps people without making noise about it.
Too Invincible, I honestly thought he was from Ebonyi state...
But a fresh hand so okay

2. MRS. AISHA SOMTOCHUKWU YESUFU
I believe that the ideal candidate for the position of the Nigerian President should be someone who is so dogged and so selfless that he/she would be ready to die for the country. Currently, there's hardly any Nigerian who fits into this description better than the BBOG amazon Aisha Yesufu.

Many times, the woman has put her life on the line even when she didn't seem to have any political clout backing her up. Such a person would go to any length to make any sacrifice needed to push the country forward.

Moreover, as an Edo woman raised in the North, and married to an Igbo man, as a Muslim who has lived among Christians, Aisha's kind of socio-political balance can hardly be matched by anyone else. Being a woman also and originally from a minority tribe, this would be a great opportunity to show the world that we're not all about terrorism. Instead, we're a country that treasures justice, equity and fairness. Of course, these are the very values that Aisha represents.
Hilarious and Unthinkable

1. PROF. YEMI OSINBAJO
Prof. Yemi Osinbajo is far from being my first choice. But I have listed him first to avoid jolting the readers. At least, it doesn't sound too radical to advocate for the current VP to take over from his principal. Otherwise, what I would suggest is a system overhaul where it's not the usual kind of succession that gets thrown up.

That being said, as a professor of law and someone who has been in government from the state levels for a long time, there is no doubt that Professor Osinbajo is quite competent to lead our embattled country at these trying times.

Also, as a pastor of a well-known church, I want to believe that Professor Osinbajo would be conscious of not messing up his name and the name of his church - if not for any other reason. We've seen him pilot the country a few times that his principal handed over to him while traveling.

In terms of image-marketing (which is a very important issue in international politics), the average Nigerian would be proud to have someone like Professor Osinbajo to represent him. His grasp on issues, his ability at expressing them, and his overall stature can foot the bill of a President anywhere in the world.

On the lighter side, even Trump in his second coming would be afraid to describe Osinbajo as "lifeless" or else, he'd bamboozle him with legal terms grin
This is just Sad and disappointing

You can not in any way exonerate Igbos for the foolishness they found themselves.

Who send una to go an oust the PM?

Who send una to dismantle regional govt and place yourselves as heads of govt under an Igbo dictorship?

Understably you never had any kings or traditional stools beyond your hamlet chief, was that reason enough to disolve all tribal associations and disregard tribal leaderships like the House of Chiefs in Yoruba land ?

Your gross primitive ways made you to accept Marxism without question and so you thought of forcefully unifying strangers whom your ZIk wanted to remain together after British exist.

It is no secret that the north and WEST wanted an independent state but only you Igbos craved for one NIgeria knowing fully that if a referrendum was extended on the question of who wants to remain in Nigeria every nationality would have left you to your blighted 5 leprous states.
If truly it was Igbos that did all these Anti-North, Anti-Yoruba, Anti-Minority stuff why havent the non Igbos who have all held the center for a generous amount of time haven't undone it? After more than 50yrs

Its simple Igbos didn't do...

I thought you were going to educate me, but it's been reverse

I am not in any way defending the north or holding brief for them.

I am only telling you that it was you Igbos that handed the template of one NIjeriya to the Fulani.

If you like you can deny what was written about Ojukwu but the fact remains that Ojukwu would have accepted Ironsi's coup without even skipping a heartbeat if he got the northern mutineers to follow military hierarchy in Ironsi's replacement.

The only reason Ojukwu declared Biafra was because he did not want to take orders from Gowon and felt that sooner or later he would be ousted out of the picture.

This is the pure unadulterated fact on why Ojukwu declared biafra - greed for ND oil and ego for losing out to his junior Gowon.

And that foolishness cost us our oil wells and our environment as we lost sovereignty of our resources but at least we did not lose 3 million biastards for a senseless ego tripping Oxford trained communist son of a billioniare.
Whatever blame you want on Ironsi accepted except the lie that he Unified Nigeria no, because if he did what is Aburi for..
Makes no sense

Ojukwu never wanted Gowon to lead yes because a major from the west was next in line..
But when he saw the western major wasn't interested he gave up and wanted Aburi...
And it wasn't over Oil, massacres were going on..

Now you can see how Ojukwu welcomed Unification decree under Ironsi while every other Military governors kicked against it.

Can you tell me why Ojukwu was demanding for a return to true federalism in Aburi less than a year later?

Was it because the Igbos had lost power at the centre?

Your foolishness is what we are suffering in the south today and from all indications with this your Marxism on full blast with your IPOB Zionist nonsense we are expecting a repeat of another round of Igbo stupidity, greed and betrayal.

But we will remind you who is the slave race in Nigeria,
All part of the south have held the power to change whatever you claim Igbos did? But why haven't they?
Is it because they know who truly made such decree?
Igbos haven't held any power In over 50 years so how come those who kicked against,, this stuff you claim Igbos did haven't repealed it?,%
