To the rescue, came a tailor named Jacob Davis, a local customer of Levi Strauss & Co., who came up with an ingenious idea in 1873, that would ultimately be hailed as genius.
Jacob thought of placing metal copper rivets as fasteners to reinforce the seam where the pockets attach. This held the pockets and the jeans together and prevented them from being ripped off of the jeans.

Jacob wanted to get it patented but he didn't have enough money! So, in 1872, he wrote to Levi Strauss and offered him a deal if Strauss would pay for the patent!

And what is that for?
cool

Well, they are there for a reason!
Let me give you a little lesson in history
Jeans were worn by the working class population that was subjected to hard physical labour. During that time, it was common for the jeans pocket to get ripped off while at work. This was a problem for them because they needed those pockets.

grin Back in the 1800s, cowboys used to wear their watches on chains and keep them inside their waistcoats. To keep them from breaking, Levi Strauss introduced a small pocket where it could be securely placed.
But most of us use it for condoms, don't we? grin

FashionWhy Jeans Have That Tiny Pocket. by bigt2(op): 12:16pm On Sep 05, 2016
I'm sure everyone has noticed that tiny, little pocket on the right side of your jeans and wondered what it's doing there. Especially considering the fact that it's inside a pocket which is functional and big enough.
What makes it more puzzling is that the pocket inside the pocket is not even hidden away. It's not a secret pocket; it's right there in plain sight.

I've done everything but I'm still having same issue, regarding the idle mode
So the screen still stays up? What programs do you have installed? Some programs could be preventing the system from sleeping.

I've scanned it and it brought out 186 problems, 6 of them are malware which I have since deleted. But I don't know what to do with remaining PUP, I don't know which to delete so I won't delete any system file.
pup means potentially unwanted programs. remove them.

I have done it but I still experience it. Another issue I am having is that I have avast installed on the system since last year, so around june I discovered the avast is no more protecting my system. So I un-installed it but I noticed I still have it on my desktop that I had to install karspersky but the same happened to it after I un-installed it when I have used up the trial version. What can be done? I don't want to format the system.
Give your system a full scan with malwarebytes anti malware and let's see what pops up.

I use a windows 8 laptop, but anytime I don't touch the laptop for instance watching movies on it. The screen goes to idle mode by shutting down the screen but all activities I was doing then will continue running and I will have to touch the mouse or any key for the screen to come on again.
I have done everything that was suggested on google but I still face the same issue.
Do you want it to stay on always? If yes, right click on the battery logo on the far right of your taskbar (if hidden, click the up arrow at the far right before the first icon to see the battery logo) and select power options.
Now you are to select "change plan settings" at the ticked power plan item. You'll see the "turn off the display" drop down under the on battery column, select never.
Repeat thsame for the plugged in column.
All should be well except your system is set to change power plans according to whether you plug in a charger or on battery. If so, then make the changes to other profiles. cool

my HP 14 sleekbook touchsmart screen is always blinking and changing contrast colour but my touchsmart is working. Any Engineer in the house to fix it. Just WhatsApp me on 07061626522
Migt be a problem with the flexible cable connecting the screen to the mobo.
Connect your PC with an external monitor and check if it works perfectly. If no joy, then you either have to re-seat or replace the flex, or replace the screen (Last resort).
Kindly take it to a service centre if under warranty but if not, then off you should go to a qualified service personnel (engineer).

The hidden objects weren't specified, but I read somewhere that every computer has hidden objects in them, that they are intentionally hidden so that the user won't tamper with them. But I Unhid every 1 of them then scanned again, and when I did this time around, it told me 1 object is hidden and 74 files couldn't be scanned. Could there be any thing to worry about?
If the functionality of your system is normal. There isn't a need to raise a red flag. Some threats are false positive and needs not to be prioritised at least until it proves to be so. Kindly observe this closely for the time being with an unbiased mind.
Regards.

Hi mr Demie, been a while. I want to ask if there's any way for me to unhide hidden objects? I ran a check on my system with a viral anti virus and it's report was that there was no virus infection, but there were hidden objects which could be malicious. Please, is there anyway I can rectify this? Thanks in advance
Specify the hidden objects for clarity.
