Pretty002: @Bigx and Lexus is a Nokia C5. I browse wit it. But wl get a bb 9900 next week. Wen i get it, i wil b back 4 ur assistance.
Thanks, i do appreciate.
God bless u

You can browse on your playbook with the nokia c5 too. It has 3g and bluetooth

Pretty002: @Bigx, thanks. I use a nokia phone.
How do i ping wit d playbk.
I wl get a phone nxt wk bt dnt knw d one dat wl b gud 4 playbk. Is it a bb or a phone wit WiFi?

What type of nokia? Does it browse? And does it have bluetooth?

If you want to ping on the Playbook then you must get a blackberry phone.

For the phone you would like to get, if you want one "good for the playbook" get a bb, preferably one with 3G and running the Newer operating system like Curve 9320(very good battery), Bold 9790, 9900, 9930 or any you like. All work with the playbook. I've also tried it with a Curve 3 (9300) and it works flawlessly there too.

Meanwhile, if your nokia browses and has bluetooth the following might be helpful.

Fhemmmy: I think the screen size as well as the fact that no 3G, they will have to market it as much as Apple market Ipads . . . It is a real nice piece.

I doubt o, if its the screen size apple wouldnt have launched the iPad mini, also iPad Wifi versions sell well and there's also the 4g playbook which you would never know exists except you do some digging.
I feel their marketing dept is just weak, or they are scared of patent suits from apple.

Pretty002: @Lexus, tanx. So I must own a bb first

You can use any Wifi network if you dont use a bb. Apart from that, what smart phone do you have? You can use the Internet tethering feature on your playbook to share any phone's internet connection and browse with it.

I got a playbook from fhemmmy 2 weeks back and I gave my ipad2 out just days back to a cousin(& dont miss it one bit, it was always under my bed or in odd places anyway), I use the playbook a whole lot more.
Ive been using ipads since they first came out and they are too restrictive to me.

Olisa4all: do u hv java installed on ur computer?if u dont, download&install

I found a workaround. I installed Playbook App Manager Extension in my chrome browser and all I need to do is drag and drop .bar files into the browser and they are installed automatically.
Thanks a lot for the tip though.

Fhemmmy: I no even hear from you on the receipt of that stuff . . My Chair, hope you never cut your man out oh . . Lol

The playbook? No vex o, my movement was/has been so scattered since then. I told you indirectly on your tech market thread though. Im really enjoying the thing wonder why RIM doesnt promote it more.

cupid4ig: And all sideloaded apps still working fine

Just needed to confirm that, upgrading right away!!

I see another car talk topic dying from the "front page"

cupid4ig: i heard there is an update for playbook?

Yes there is... Who first? Lol

Have you tried Bad piggies? It cured me from both Brave:Temple Run and All the iterations of Angry Birds I have.

TCD: Good suggestions everyone. More please.

I'm currently in a location in CRS where there is no 3G , going to be here for two weeks before going back to cal. Downloading will have to wait till then.

The guys in PH , things should be a bit easier, PH is close to Cal. Believe we can work something out.

@TCD are you back in Cal? I have a friend there that can get the files for me.

honsule: I have one too.In case anybody is interested. KINDLE 3G TOUCH.It plays music mp3 too

Please do you know where I can get a replacement screen for this? Mine is cracked.
Lolz.... Its not just in abuja o. Even Autostar in Enugu does not have the full dealer software (according to an insider sha) though I think they have Lexia but not the full dealer version as you can atleast get your car scanned there. This remphasizes the problem I have with Nigeria. Even when you take you Pug to some premium dealerships like ASD or Autostar, you pay exorbitant amounts for sub standard services. So how will ASD diagnose a Pug with the CEL on?? Wish someone as meticulous as Siena would open an Auto workshop in Naija. I'll be his first custome no matter how expensive...
Same in ph, they always use the handheld version and never seem to fully understand the scan results.

How's your scanner by the way?

Ikenna351: I was passing ASD motors at Area 7 this morning, so i decided to peep in. I walked straight to their store and asked them if they have Lexia 3 and how much. They were just staring at me as if i was speaking French. Are they not suppose to understand French sef?! Lol!

Anyway, i was suprised to see brand new 406 & 206 in their show room for sale. Hmm! Thought their productions have stopped. Probably old stock.

Ikenna.

Lol, lexia 3 is the software for Citroen Models, if they've any idea they'd be more familiar with Peugeot planet 2000 or Diagbox.

Theirs is usually one Big contraption and Peugeot France gives to dealers only.

brabus: Enjoying my PlayBook already.

Lol same here. Seem to be using it more than my laptop and bb right now even.

One more reason I hate the so-called corporate world.
So much eye-service! What's anyone's business if I wear a necklace? Does it choke me and affect my productivity?
I've had a gold necklace on my neck for over 15 years now and I don't see what is taking it off.

@niiade sorry I couldn't make it the other day o, I totally forgot all about lagos traffic. Was done around 1pm with lagos and still almost missed my evening flight. Una de try sha.
I dowloaded like two of the apps and tried the sideloading just now, after putting in the IP address and password on DDPB it says It cannot connect to playbook, that I should try pinging the IP address and etc.
Has anyone experienced dis bifo

xmirad: dude plz av gt only 45k plz which ipad do u have of dt raange?...neat or nit wud prefer 2 sha buh which do u have? send to oluwatoyiogunnubi@yahoo.com or text to 07032718699.

Niiade: hello

My details are in my signature but you can call me 08025140064, niiadenii@gmail.com would be waiting

I'm in lagos now o, till afternoon. What's your location?

akpumping7720: Have u forgotten d law of demand?

Which states that all things being equal, the demand for a product would increase per unit decrease in price.
This is not related to what I am talking about, except the producer benefits from economies of scale as a result of increased demand, price wars are the fastest way to shut any company down.

Goodgoody1: If there has been a glut why don't they reduce the price of the cement to N1,000.00 so that people can make more purchases. It will be better for him dangote reduce his price and sell more that the imported south eastern companies as said

Have you run a business before? Do you know there are costs associated with production? Only government companies not focused on profits can do that.

Price wars never help any serious business.

This man has commonsense, a lot of Nigerians don't, which is why they keep insulting him

This confirms my earlier suspicions!! Nairaland is test-running paid frontpage topics.

Fhemmmy: Yes oh, after so much mail back and forth, cos they are really now getting on my nerves, they wasted yesterday and today and it means delivery will be made tomorrow . . . useless people . . .

Trust your country.

When I'm high or sober?

sholatech: Been using it daily for the past 3 months. When asked for username and password, just type'web'

That's what I've been using o, but all of a sudden yesterday evening it stopped connecting. Has yours connected since last night?

walcolm: i hope you are aware MTN will hit your airtime for the data you share via your hotspot

Yes I usually subscribe for a separate mobile bundle for that.

Agassa: I am in Portharcourt.@TCD and Niiade, wherever u guys are in Naija,I don't really mind, especially if we can come to an agreement on how we can make this work.I also need HD videos o. If that's not too much to ask. I really need to fill up this 64GB PB.

Lol, I'm in PH too, so they could always send the files across here, and we share the cost.
Nice one @niiade, like toyota would say, "Good Thinking, Good Product!"

Kai! My poor bandwidth

How many GB? Is the pack available?
