You wouldn’t expect a rabbit to take on a
snake and live to tell the tale - but then you
haven’t messed with an angry mother bunny
before.
These incredible scenes, filmed in the
cameraman’s back garden, show the black
snake wrapped around a baby rabbit,
preparing it for its afternoon meal.
But springing in from out of nowhere comes
the baby bunny’s mum, who sinks her teeth
into the slithering reptile.
The baby bunny is released from the tight
clasp of the snake and runs off, managing to
avoid being lunch.
Its mother is furious, however, and refuses to
leave the snake alone.
After the pair fight, the snake tries to do a
runner but the mother rabbit stalks it
everywhere it goes, pouncing and biting
whenever it gets a chance.
As children can be heard in the background
yelling encouragement to the rabbit, it even
manages to do a backflip kick as it carries on
attacking the serpent.
Eventually the snake slides off to safety - but
not before an almighty mauling from an
opponent that it would normally consider
nothing more than dinner.
Sadly, while one bunny did escape, it appears
that the greedy snake had already killed two
others that can be seen lying motionless in
the nest.
But any snake will surely think twice about
trying again when mother rabbit displays kung
fu skills like this one.
