sorry 2 disappoint u vray is way behind, infact it is num 6 on the chart among order render engines.but not to worryposition dosent matter, d koko is knowing how to use it and sticking to one particular software

x-wit> my own defination of ambient occlusion is quite similar to cgkings.AO is a more realistic shadow that is added to a scene to compliment its GI. a scene cast it Ao shadow irrespective of its normal shadow casted by d light direction. i will advice the use of AO only in the case of final render.make sure ur light shadows are turned of to avoide to much shadows in d scene.

just get any 3dmax/v-ray plugin,
the product or version dosent matter, v ray is d same no matter d type.wat matters is ur ability to twik settings so as to have quality output.
