Wike is a top governemt official and one of the official duties of the DSS is VIP protection.

All governors, of which the FCT minister is an equivalent, are assigned DSS agents for personal protection.

The Police is the law enforcement arm of the government and when FCT officials are prevented from carrying out their duties, I am sure you understand that involving the police is the next legal line of action.

Do research before you talk Oga. There is nothing like military hierarchy!! Soldiers are bound to take (legal) orders , constitutional orders. Soldiers don't take orders to commit crime . Check the Nigerian constitution , supreme Court judgements and other judicial precedent about that. In developed Countries, soldiers resign for failing their country.

What the young officer and his Boss did was corrupt ; using influence and status to prevent Wike from doing his job. Wike was appointed by the President to take charge of Abuja. A military officer using his status to block the Minister from doing his job amount to abandoning his duty to protect Nigeria against foreign aggression instead went to stand guard in a piece of land.
