Pls the Gionee E7 is far from outdated. you call a 3gb ram phone using snapdragon 801 processor outdated. At 2.5 GHz its clocked faster than some contemporary flagships. The phone was actually ahead of its time and was actually one of the first phones to pack 3gb. its camera front and rear are first class. I have pitted its rear 16MP against the 20MP of the Sony z2 and it came out tops. It is the smoothest and fastest phone I have used even smoother than my BB passport and my lumia 1520. I will recommend the E7 above these other devices even though it is stuck at kitkat which for me is no deal breaker.

no one is talking abou the hardware, it the software that outdated. android 4.2 in 2015 is a no go when marshmallow is already here. it not gonna be future proof even the sd 801 is getting outdated when a 830 is already in the works. so i would advice you get a future proof phone maybe at least a quad core android 5.0/5.1 with ota updates.

and who told you that gionee has customer servies too, all phones whether it has customer service or not can be repaird here in nigeria and if not it can be fixed by the marketer you bought it from, espacially those chinese phones bought from online stores and marketers on nairaland so know what you say. and i have not heard of you being a marketer on nairaland or your threads. so dont bulls**t people you dont know.

i would'nt compare it with lumia since they are chinese phones but i can say he you get it through the people i told you, you get to return it he it bad and still they are quality and durable phones too in their own way.

if you are just going to buy a gionee with no after sales service i would advice you to go threads of elijhadre, jeffy, and initialize the are many android lollipop device with 5.5 inches screen less than 40k with accessories and some after sales service through them. i.e Lenovo k3 note, ElePhone p6000 pro, ulephone paris, umi hammer s and umi fair with finger print sensor, all for 40k or under.

They reported the phone has slight factory defect so they stopped producing and called back some unit from the earlier dispatched batch hence no stock for now.

do you mean that it not going to sell again i really would love to buy that phone. but it still sells with Elijahdre and co i think.

Simple the android one edition is just a name...it's basically stock android like the one on the nexus phones which is managed by Google and gets prompt updates.
It's a totally stripped down version of android.
And all updates are over the air OTA rather than flashing.



The xui 5.1 is infinix's own software based on Android 5.1 and has added goodies like the ones found in the hot note or other brands out there but without prompt updates but can get updates if infinix decides to.

Android one is Managed and updated by Google.

OK google works with it. I said a faster rom means faster response. I am just voicing my professional opinion that the stock Android 4.1 won't be as responsive as a custom rom that will be without junk apps.

I really don't know if it's updateable but you should be able to install MIUI custom rom which is lighter and updatable that way there's an higher chance OK google will be more responsive

so you mean ok google wont work on its rom out of the box.

there are questions i have been meaning to ask
1. DoEs Its Rom Come With Stock Android 5.1 rom or its own customised rom.
2. Does "ok google" work on all chinese phones expecially this doogee f5 with the customized rom it came with or with google now launcher.
3. does it support OTA UpDates? And How Early Frequently Do They Push Updates.

The only issues i'm having are I'm unable to move files from my memory card to the internal memory & I can't snap pictures, receive or download files without a memory card. Maybe a software update will take care of these issues.

The apps I got the widgets from are avast mobile security, battery doctor, backgrounds HD, Google Now, Google newsstand & Google Calendar.

ok then. did all this problems like
-you cant save to mmc or phone storage
-cant detect phone storage or mmc from your pc
-no reboot option or cant enter recovery mode
-apps refusing to install from play store(error message etc)
and all other related problems and error.
