7 reasons why there's always Conflict in Nigeria Nigeria is in constant crisis because of the following: 1. Christians are made to beleive Muslims are their problem, why Muslims are made to beleive Christians are their problem. 2. North is made to beleive South is their problem, why South is made to believe North is their problem. 3. Youths are made to believe elders are the problem, why elders are made to believe Youths are the problem. 4. Citizens are made to believe government is the problem, why government is made to believe citizens are the problem. 5. Poor are made to believe rich are the problem, why rich are made to believe poor are the problem. 6. Educated are made to believe none educated are the problem, why none educated are made to believe educated are the problem. 7. Diasporans are made to believe people at home are the problem, why those at home are made to believe Diasporans are the problem. In truth, 8. We against them will always lead to mutual suspicion. Mutual suspicion will always lead to Conflict. Conflict will always hinders purposeful mission and the circle will always continue, if not stopped. 9. We need to communicate rightly and end the culture of we against them. 10. Government, Traditional Institutions, Media, Civil Society and Religious Leaders have a major role to play in changing this narrative for us all to have peace. Abdulrazaq Hamzat |
Mudirul Markaz, Sheikh Habeebullah Al-Ilori has demonstrated sufficient knowledge, understanding and clarity of thought to win my loyalty on his public sensitization against Alsunnah. While it is true that nobody is perfect, i am bold to say that, this rare scholar has not only demonstrated unrivalled intellectual prowess on the issue of deen against the misinformation of Alsunnah, he has actually proven himself to be one of the greatest scholar alive today, not only in Nigeria, but world over. SweetVibe:So, you are angry because you are not getting 30k? Okay, send me your account let me send you the 30k. |
stevnwigw1:We are discusing constitution... That's what concerns me. I don't know anything about oil. If you need oil well, go and apply. |
stevnwigw1:What concerns constitution with oil well? Did you apply for oil well? |
Who are the people Apart from me and you? And when did we agree that we are tired? What's in it to be tired about? |
I am part of the people and i am not tired. Even you that is speaking, you cannot point out any major difference between 1979 constitution and 1999. Many have been brainwashed by noise makers to oppose something for no sane reason. |
FreedomArmy:Tell us the difference between 1979 and 1999 constitution. Even the democracy we are enjoying today was handed over by the military. |
helinues:Yes, it was serving the intended purpose. Just like the Federal character, that says ministers and other offices should be from every state. If we don't think it is worth it, we can amend it. No big deal |
helinues:Yes, they are working. A constitution is just a document. Whether it would work or not, is the doing of we the people. If any part of the constitution need imprọvement, you can amend it. So, what's the noise about? |
FreedomArmy:Who told you it is not? Pick 1979 constitution and 1999 constitution and point out any major difference |
*Why do we need a New Constitution?* We had the pre Independent constitution. We had the 1963 constitution We had the 1979 constitution, which was adopted as 1999 constitution with little adjustment. And all of these constitutions were product of wide consultation and endorsed by all parts of the country. So, tell me, why do we need another constitution? What can another constitution do for us that all the previous constitution cannot do? |

*Kwara Must Change Meets KWHA over Legislative Watch* Earlier today, a team from Kwara Must Change appeared before a Committee on Youth, Sport and Information at the Kwara State House of Assembly, following the invitation of the house to the group over the recently released Legislative Watch report. The lawmakers, who precided over the session said that they appreciate the efforts put into the production of Legislative Watch, but would like to know more about the report and share their observation, hence our invitation for the meeting. In Kwara Must Change's presentation, we took the lawmakers through the process of creating Legislative Watch, which include the standard development, modality review, composition of assessment modality and the process of rating. There was question and answer session, moments of tensed engagement, mutual disagreement and agreement, accusation and clarification and finally, the moment of closure. Kwara Must Change presented copies of Legislative Watch report to the members for proper study, including their official result card which shall be made public in few days, but it was rejected by them. They noted that since they are not entirely satisfied with the content, they will not accept the report. After the closure of the meeting, deputy clerk of the house approached us to request for two copies of the report, which was granted. *Kwara Must Change* |
