TheGoodJoe:
And what about the journalist who confirmed the manager's point.

I also pointed it out before the manager said it. I doubt you understand Iheanacho's contribution. Iheanacho's constant running and movement gave Moses the room to shine. That was the point. So saying Moses did well showed you totally missed the point or did not even follow the post match news.
The point is that in the matches before then he scored a screamer made those same runs you are talking about and against Zambia he scored a brilliant goal or is it 2 sef and still made those runs, I only said he had a quiet game simple, and pls Moses scored the first goal because he took on defenders got to the box did a one two with the Algerian defender and almost got obstructed by iheanacho (fact), Iheanacho contribution in the second goal was a pass to Etebo who gave a delightful final ball to Mikel to win the mannequin challenge. Third goal Moses ran into position and anticipated a good pass from Musa picked his spot from Musa gbam forth chance iheanacho receives a pass from Musa and plays to the skies
He is a great player and maybe the most talented player in the group but he was not the reason we beat Algeria (fact) abi u wan find ratings for the match, That's my 2 pence, And lemme still bust your head understanding what Guardiola wants doesn't guarantee u greatness if not where are Cuenca, tello now.

You can not tell but in the last camp we did, we had journalist writing Iheanacho as one of the top performers in camp over those you watched regularly.

Is that not telling if he has dipped or not.

Is it not in the game against Algeria that despite not playing regularly, the coach of Algeria and a reputable journalist pointed Iheanacho as the reason we beat Algeria?

Do we have another striker who can put in that amount of energy? Even with their regular playing time?
The Algerian coach must be high on Oshogbo weed Victor Moses was the best player on the field that day Moses was in Messi mode, iheanacho missed clear cut chances mikel and etebo even played better, iheanacho and iwobi(bar one Jay Jay flick) were quiet that day, I think what actually happened was the Algerian coach said iwobi and iheanacho were Nigeria s key players before the match but during the match Moses raped them

Let us not over exaggerate the criticism of kelechi s current situation, most people in this forum love kelechi and they want the very best for him that his talent deserves, people like Musa and even I Success are chowing bench and they get lil mentions, My problem is Guardiola is a one way traffic man, coming from a staunch Barca fan, he either likes ur style of play or doesn't and it doesn't matter what on earth you do he will always prefer his ideal player he did same to Eto just that Eto was scoring an outrageous amount of goals, in the end he still sold him.if you think he likes Aguero and Aguero has adjusted just wait till this season ends, he will get his kind of striker and bench or sell Aguero I suspect there is no interest in the players career that's what sickens me otherwise why would u buy another 20yr striker to compete with your 20 yr old striker, it's only because you want an upgrade, if he is interested in kelechi s growth he would have bought a 26-27 yr old striker that will be short term replacement for Aguero and kelechi will be long term replacement, Wenger might have all his flaws but he always protects his young players careers till they prove otherwise that's y Iwobi should stay,
Preventing Kelechi from going to the Olympics and buying a striker that played at the Olympics said a lot.

I think people are genuinely concerned about Iheanacho because of the belief of game time being the best route. I think their digs and pokes is an Avenue to air out their frustration.

However, I still feel Nacho is on the right path. When he gets his time, many will smile. Just as people hated the decision of Nacho joining City earlier. After he started banging the goals, even articles highlighted that the dad knew best.

I asked, what of me?
How will he ever get the time when there are players like Gabriel and Aguero and city are looking for another striker he can't get his chance bar injuries don't you get.he could be improving with the drills, but Gabriel also does the drills too and gets to practice what he learnt.
Only hope is he reinvents himself and becomes Silva s replacement, He needs to move to a club with a coach that is interested in his improvement, and has a pathway for him. Pep is overwhelmed he cant manage young talents this year no youth team player has broken out this season very unlike Pep
The ones that managed to break out last season he is virtually sending them back. and it could get worse because he would be getting close to 250 million to spend.

I agree with you.

However, ENYEAMA NO, NO capital NO.

Enyeama was rated among the top 5 goalkeepers in the world last year, he is even now the best goal keeper in Africa. Back home to Nigeria he is so far ahead of everybody else, its a No contest.

Finally the way he was treated we should be giving him an UNRESERVED APOLOGY and a national honour for the shocking denigration and abuse he received under Sunday.
Peter Rufai was great too however it s the timing trust me this things happen and people will settle outside the national team, what has happened has happened he doesn't need to come back we need to plan for long term, and Enyeama is a great goalkeeper but he is at that age where a decline can come all of a sudden and trust me he is not as sharp as before, kameni dey wen cameroun Carry ondoa na now they are secured for the next 10 yrs at least we need to groom younger goalkeepers and give other people d chance he was given in 2002, Emmanuel Daniel or alampasu should be in that team,

Aluko will be a welcome addition to the super eagles he is skilful and versatile and a very calm player most of our wingers are right footed and rush rush players, even all the Ams are right footed, he is above average in freekicks, he has a great eye for the final pass something only mikel and iwobi have, plus Nigeria needs to build a pool of 28 to 29 first team players, who are rotated because we have been a bit lucky with injuries if they hit you and your replacement isn't used to to team setup it might hurt you. The person that shouldn't come back is Enyeama as he smells of Peter Rufai 2.0

How can a man be complaining of sexual harrassment?
Men always want sex...Something they chase, spend money on,tell lies to get being offered on a platter of gold irrespective of the person or location is a plus

having sex with his boss/colleague at work is a mega achievement.Something to discuss with the guys at a bar over chilled beer and be applauded and envied by peers.

Unless a child under 18years,there is nothing like male sexual harrassment.
An invitation for sex is every man's dream.
Stop generalizing your statement you haven't met every man or have you, different strokes for different folks maybe you need to change d company you keep, for some sex is sacred and after marriage only

At the end, Rohr needs the best players that can help him make a strong impact at Russia. If it is all about Key players, we would seek regular players from Finland and Norway.

Awoniyi got more game time than Iheanacho this season but I bet Rohr will pick Iheanacho over Awoniyi.

Food for thought. Remember to wash the plates.
If he keeps getting benched People like Tammy Abraham if he decides to play for Nigeria will displace nacho from the team.
How can you give an example of an off form awoniyi or are you saying awoniyi s form would have been better if he was on the bench than when he is playing.
Guardiola is not the only coach that uses those methods in training players it's done in Barca in athletico Bilbao hoffenham, celta Vigo, dortmund, porto, ajax, there are a long list of clubs he can go to and still look like he never left, he needs game time he needs to play against different set of defenders and get passed them and become tougher not kompany, stones, dat moustache guy and adarabioyo every day.

What concerns me is Iheanacho becoming a better player in the near future. If rushing him to a team that will diminish him in the name of looking for goals and assists, I am wholeheartedly against it.

The whole game time thing has been blown of the map with Iwobi and Ighalo deteriorating with game time. It is misleading.

What is most important is Iheanacho's continuous development.
Yes but Musa has detoriated on the bench
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by binhozie(m):
The problem Iheanacho has is not only learning what guardiola wants but also when he has learnt it he might have people like Gabriel Sanchez and aubameyeng to contend with because the guardiola seems to still be on the look out for more strikers, Deolefeo was sold to Everton with buy back option because they expected him to fit in to the system under Martinez, and play for a coach who understands him.
Barca did same for tello but he didn't really come good.
Guardiola should loan him to a team that embodies the same DNA he is trying to preach
so he can get game time. Training with cones is not enough.
Or sell him with buy back option.
Or teach him all the drills but create a pathway for him to try out what he has learnt on the pitch
Succession planning all good coaches do it for young players development, he himself did it for Pedro when there was the more experienced Henry.
Guardiola has changed a lot since he went to Bayern all he does now is weaken the competition so you can become stronger I'm sure he will bid for Sanchez and aubameyeng this coming window.
Iheanacho has more talent than bony but he was not always the better player all young players have a pathway created for them to excel.
If fabregas 1.0 stayed at Barca he would never have become a great arsenal player or like bellerin this days, you have to move.
Pogba had to move
Lukaku had to move
Thiago had to move
All the top 6 teams are under immense pressure to win the league at least at the beginning
They do not have time to groom players now
You can compare the number of youngsters that broke out in the premier league last year to this year, there is a huge difference.
Iheanacho has the hope of a country on his shoulders he needs to move to a club and coach that is willing to take a risk on him.
Pep was given a target to win the champions league and improve the youth teams of Manchester city and the best graduates of the youth team can't even make match day squad

I totally support iheanacho going to a German league team that will guarantee him playing time and using that as a spring board to move to a bigger club as a more mature and trusted player like de bruyne did and chicharito might,
As for Onyekwuru Dortmund is a great team to play for even from the bench, Because they have excellent succession planning, and they will only buy him if they really have plans to use him, not this go for every striker available nonsense guardiola is doing.

I agree Celtic is not a small club. They have players who have moved on to the best clubs in Europe for big money.

Moussa Dembele left Fulham to Celtic rejecting moves to Tottenham, Chelsea amongst a host of other clubs.

That move has seen his profile rise even higher, it was reported during the January transfer window a offer in excess of £40 million was made but politely declined.

If Onyekuru had gone to Celtic his profile would be much higher. Having Dembele as a forward partner would have helped him even further.
Like kelechi is partnering Aguero

Making a biased statement and or proposition simply means you have have no rational and or objective substantiation that underpins it. In other words there is no substance to explain and or justify the statement, proposition, view, etc.

I like this forum for its in-depth analysis and criticism sometimes constructive criticism.

So we can agree to disagree but you would expect a discourse based on facts, reasoning, historical trends, etc. That's what makes this forum unique and interesting. Even if we remain anonymous there is still depth to the discussions. As a result I have become informed, educated and even conversant with football in Nigeria.

But back to you Sir, make sure your assertions are factual.

I have said I rate Onyedinma higher than Ademola and others, I have never said Onyedinma is World class that would be ludicrous. I have said KC is an exceptional player but World class not yet.

I actually don't rate Ojo that highly if at all and I don't recall a comparison made with Success. But if I was too I would probably rate Ojo slightly higher as a bona-fide winger than Success.

When I do make an assertion I would mostly be quite clear as to my reasoning that's not bias that's objectivity. It helps the forum and raises the quality of discussion if you proferr your reasons.

But to present such a high handed allegation of bias without any rationality or substance beyond, When you say does not put you in the best light.

If you think Isaac Success is a great rationalise your
view be objective, be factual, that helps everyone to understand and appreciate your view even agree with it. But to do otherwise is sentimentality or might I even suggest prejudice.
Success was Granada's player of the year 2015/2016 ojo has just made cameo s for Liverpool . Success went to 013 as Nigeria's key man but injuries held him back it's still his problem till date, some of the clubs justling for his signature last year were athletico madrid, Napoli amongst others. but he settled for Watford based on connections with granada, Success was amongst top 10 young la Liga players to watch last year ojo might not make top 5 young players in Liverpool.

A good write up.

Pls can u do us more favor by laying the team out graphically. I.e the formation set up.
4-3-3 sir, mind you I'm using shehu because of lack of a 'Very good' option yet and Mikel far from ndidi so ndidi can express himself with his long range passing and not give Mikel the ball any time he sees him, etebo box to box and cover for Madu as well. Then iwobi mikel and iheanacho can form triangles that would draw lots of fouls from the camerounians, Moses has all the space to make his lung busting runs

Shehu Balogun. Ekong. Madu

........................ Ndidi

.......................................Etebo

Iwobi Iheanacho. V.Moses

Nigeria needs good full backs and wing backs for starters and back up option and omeruo should go back to bench CB at least to create competition between awaziem and agbo for the last spot.
The Cameroonian team like to sit back if the opponent's plays possession football and try to hit on the counter they have fast strong and intelligent players, they don't try to wrestle possesion, we need to attack on all fours and defend enmass when needed, WelI thank God for the kind of competition we have in the attack
and midfielders as well. I think Musa s time as a winger is over he should be considered as a back up CF he can chase balls over the top from ndidi and finish them, he is never going to deliver that perfect cross as a winger If I was rohr I will start like this
C.Ikeme
Shehu
Balogun
Ekong
Madu
Ndidi
Etebo
Mikel
Iwobi
Iheanacho
V.Moses

Subs
I. Success
Ogu
Agbo
Omeruo
Echejile
