Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo had his girlfriend’s face emblazoned on Burj Khalifa to celebrate her birthday and promote her new Netflix documentary.

The footballer shared a video on his Instagram account with a message written in Portuguese that read “many congratulations my love”, accompanied with a heart and birthday cake emojis.

Argentinian-born Ms Rodriguez, stars in a newly-released six-part documentary series that charts her rise to fame and “dream life” after becoming the footballer’s partner five years ago.
The former Real Madrid and Juventus player, who is currently off during a break in football fixtures, has been making the most of the warm weather on the beach. He has also been training at the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex.

In 2020, Dubai influencers Anas and Asala Marwah projected the gender of their baby on the world’s tallest tower, with the words, “It's a boy!” on the 828-metre tower after a countdown.

The couple shared a video posted to their YouTube channel, and said they had not known the gender before the big reveal.

“I am trying my best to give content that no one has ever seen before,” Asala told viewers during the clip, as the family were getting prepared for the news. “To me, doing it in this way is something very big.”

“I ask Asala every day, 'Who are we to be [reflected] on the Burj Khalifa? Why us and no one else?'," said Anas.

Reno Omokri blames President Buhari for Super Eagles’ 1 – 0 defeat and elimination from 2021 AFCON.

Following Super Eagles’ defeat and elimination from the 2021 Africa Cup Of Nations, Reno Omokri has lashed out on President Muhammadu Buhari.

Last night, the Nigerian squad were defeated 1 – 0 to Tunisia in the Round of 16, after Youssef Msakni found the net with a long-range shot in the 47th minute of the game, which knocked the Super Eagles out of the tournament.

Nigeria had progressed to the round of 16, after three straight victories against Egypt, Sudan, and Guinea Bissau in Group D.
Earlier before the Tunisia game, President Buhari had called the players to wish them well and charge them to continue making Nigerians proud.

Following the outcome of the match, Reno shared a recorded video, where he blamed President Buhari for the Super Eagles’ defeat and elimination from the tournament after he called them to wish them well.

He also went on to blame the Buhari for Anthony Joshua’s last defeat to Oleksandr Usyk after the British-Nigerian boxer met him before the bout.

The Nigerian government lawyer Shuaibu Labaran Magaji revealed that Nnamdi Kanu denied being a member of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in court on Wednesday.

Magaji stated this while speaking with journalists at the court premises after the trial was adjourned till February 16.
Magaji, who brought two prosecution witnesses to court on Wednesday, expressed the disappointment that the trial could not begin immediately.

According to him, the defense team ambushed the court with an application for bail and another application seeking to quash the charges against Kanu.

Magaji added that Kanu “vehemently” denied being an IPOB member.

He said, “One of the charges suggesting that the defendant, Nnamdi Kanu is a member of IPOB and he vehemently denied being a member of IPOB. That is very curious and we urge Nigerians to see us through how we are going to prove all those charges against the defendant in no time to come.”

Kanu is currently facing 15 amended charges bordering on terrorism.


He leaded not guilty to all 15 counts read to him on Wednesday.

After the plea taking, the prosecutor, Shuiabu Labaran, urged the trial judge, Mrs. Binta Nyako, to order the trial to commence.

The Nigerian government lawyer said there were two prosecution witnesses in court on Wednesday for the trial to begin immediately.

But Mr. Kanu’s lawyer, Mike Ozekhome, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), objected to the commencement of trial, arguing that his client’s two pending applications challenging the validity of the charges must first be taken and determined.

“I am surprised that the prosecution was telling the court that it was ready to go on with the trial,” Mr Ozekhome said.

He argued further, “We have served the prosecution with two fundamental documents. We have generated a preliminary objection. We urge the court to discharge and acquit the defendant because there is no basis for the charge to stand.

“We cannot go into trial without addressing the pending applications.

“The very applications are fundamental and intrinsic to the hearing and determination of the 15-count charge.”

Responding, Mr. Labaran said he had just been served on Wednesday with the applications seeking to quash the charges as well as the defendant’s bail.

“You cannot file a process on the same day and it will be heard. Constitutionally, we have a right to look at the court papers and see whether to reply or not,” the government lawyer argued.

But the judge was not disposed to entertaining Mr Kanu’s bail application, saying, “I can’t hear the bail application for now.”

Mrs Nyako, however, agreed with the defense lawyer that “his application must be heard and determined first, whether the charges are defective or not.”

She then adjourned the case until February 16.

After many weeks of conjectures and permutations, the lead counsel for the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, on Tuesday, unveiled Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN) as the leader of the defence counsel for Nnamdi Kanu whose trial commences today before Justice Binta Nyako of a Federal High Court in Abuja.

Kanu arrived the court at 7am amidst tight security as operatives of the Department of State Services frisked journalists and lawyers.

As of the time of filing this report, the court had yet to commence sitting.

“Yes, I’m now in the legal team and that’s why you’re seeing me in court,” Ozekhome said.

Ejiofor had in a statement announced that the fortification of Kanu’s legal team was the Christmas gift to Kanu when they visited him at the headquatres of the DSS where he was being detained.

Ejiofor had however kept the identity of the person to his chest.

He had said, “I want to assure you, Umuchineke, that our legal team, is, presently, more fortified than ever to do battle in Court, and God being on our side, victory is assured. We paid our routine visit to our untiring, unwavering, unrelenting, rock-solid and noble client, Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, at the DSS detention facility at Abuja. The visit, this time, was spectacular and was greeted by an infectious air of camaraderie. Onyendu was particularly enthused by the visit and preferred to describe it as ‘A surprise Christmas Present’. You may not understand the peculiarity of this visit and the how significant it is.
But in due course, I am certain you will be in the best position to fully appreciate the wisdom that informed it. Suffice it to say that as the lead attorney of Onyendu, I took advantage of the visit to unveil a legal giant, a distinguished and an accomplished member of the Inner Bar, whom I have chosen to fortify our defence team. The learned Senior counsel is an excellent and a consummate learned gentleman, distinguished in academics and in the practice of law in our law courts.

The reason that informed this arrangement is my unflinching desire to throw in every weapon in our arsenal to ensure that Onyendu gets the best at all times. This latest master stroke, evident in the legal giant that has intervened, came to Onyendu as a big surprise. Although he was not oblivious of my arrangement to enlist the assistance and co-operation of a Senior Attorney, he did not know that I could get a Senior Attorney of the rarest breed.

“He was particularly delighted to welcome this legal giant, a consummate member of the Inner Bar, a legal Iroko, who has distinguished himself in the practice of law, when we visited him yesterday. I must state here and now that the Senior attorney involved has been my mentor over the years. He has worked from the sidelines with our legal team since 2016. He is a man imbued with profound intellect, legal sophistry, an infectious sense of history, much like Onyendu, and of impeccable character.

“His brilliance radiates effortlessly. He is indeed an excellent advocate. The stage which we have attained in the Court gymnastics involving Onyendu signposts an auspicious time at which to introduce the leading and erudite member of the Inner Bar to our defence team. Henceforth, he will lead our defence team in proceedings in Court.

“Further, in the course of our interaction with Onyendu, the legal giant singled me out for commendation. He paid me effusive compliments for my steadfastness, devotion, commitment and fidelity to Onyendu.

“He also variously referred to instances to buttress his conclusion. Onyendu, with a smile on his face, nodded repeatedly in approval. I was particularly touched by these references and it further fortified my firm resolution to the cause of Onyendu.”

Kanye West Claims Kim Kardashian Wouldn't Let Him Into Her House with North Because Pete Was There

But apparently Kim has a VERY different version of the story.
Today in the ongoing soap opera that is Kimye's divorce, Kanye West is claiming that Kim Kardashian's security team won't let him enter her house—even with his kids.

In a new interview with Hollywood Unlocked, Kanye shared a story about being denied access to Kim's house after picking their kids up from school.

"Earlier this week, Monday, when I went to go pick my kids up from school, the security stopped me at the gate. So at that point, security was in between me and my children and that's what was not going to happen," he said. "But I didn't want to argue about it. So I just chilled, took my kids to school, and then took my kids back. I am driving. I bring them back and North was like, 'I want you to come upstairs and see something.' And it's like, 'Oh, Daddy can't come see something. Daddy can't come inside.' But that hadn't been defined."

Kanye added that Kim's new bf, Pete Davidson, was reportedly inside at the time, which prompted him to enlist two of his female cousins to go talk to Kim about the ~whole sitch~ (which, apparently, also included some *thoughts* about North's budding career as a TikTok influencer).

"I am hearing that the new boyfriend is actually in the house that I can't even go to. And that's where I call my cousins. And my cousins is real opinionated, you know that. And I said, 'I need you to go and say these two things.' Security ain't going to be in between me and my children, and my children ain't going to be on TikTok without my permission," he explained.

According to Page Six, sources close to Kim say Kanye's "claim is completely bogus" and Kim is "saddened by his public outcries" and just "trying to set healthy boundaries."
"Instead of showing up at any hour, unannounced at her home, she has asked for better communication from him and for visits to be scheduled in advance to give the kids a more predictable [schedule]," one source said. "Kanye has never been deprived of seeing the children ever! The narrative that he is trying to create is false and hurtful for their children and their co-parenting relationship. There is nothing standing in the way of him and his children."

Oh, and as for those claims that Pete was in the house when Kanye was turned away, one of the Page Six sources said that's definitely false.

"Pete has yet to be introduced to Kim’s kids, and it’s widely known that whenever he visits her in LA, he stays at a hotel in Beverly Hills where she’s been spotted with him," the source said.

In the Hollywood Unlocked interview, Kanye acknowledged that he hasn't been perfect, but stressed that his kids are his top priority.

"I can have my principles and things I've changed things, and I backslide, and I haven't been the best Christian and things the media can make seem some kind of ways," he said. "But at the end of the day, I'm Jesus gang. I'm about family, just me and my kids, parenting. And I mean, my kids' mom we not together. I'm still gonna be the best dad."

At least the good news about all of this drama is that it's abundantly clear that Kim and Kanye are both committed to creating the best situation for their kids—even if they don't totally agree on what that is yet.

A female soldier who says men tell her she's too pretty to work as a soldier has spoken out, handing out a response to the comments she gets from men.

In a video shared online, the soldier is seen wearing her uniform while addressing the issue.

She began: "Some guys tell me I'm too pretty for the work I do."

She explained that what she's too pretty for is to beg men for "urgent 2k" or to be disrespected by them.

"If there's anything to be pretty about, it's to make you believe without you I'm nothing, it's to be used and dumped by you," she said.

"You see, your insult, your disappointment, your disrespect is what I'm too pretty for.

"Men, I too fine for rubbish. I am too pretty for rubbish."
