For those making noise here, have it in mind that Nigeria is a country one needs to sweat and have sleepless night to destroy. For anyone who decides to fix Nigeria, it should be very easy without sweat.
Is it rocket science to know that Nigeria doesn’t belong to one ethnic group and the easiest way to make it work is to evenly distribute the appointment and everyone feeis including , so if we succeed we rejoice and if fail, we all take the blame together ? This makes pressures and agitations to hit rock bottom . |

May his administration succeed because his success is our success for once , keep quiet and leave naysayers. This your attitude is why he will fail. Always looking for a fight even where there is non If what he has in mind is to shame naysayers and not focus on his duties and let the results do the shaming, means that he has failed before he even started. Don’t forget that he is just a placeholder if justice prevails |

nairalanda1: There is nothing like preparation for subsidy removal.
The arguments that have been used against subsidy removal are not new. They have been the same ones over and over again.
Anyway, we can't even pay for subsides now, even if we wanted to. Thanks to years of mismanagement and low oil revenues, and corruption, we are now in borrowing mode for subsidy. Keeping it means we keep on borrowing.
And if you want subsidy, that means more borrowing again.
At some point, we face reality, or we end up with IMF forcing us to do so. there was no subsidy! Who are the companies they have been paying it to |

Politics › Re: How Top Military Officers Pressured President Tinubu To Drop Nuhu Ribadu As NSA by bionixs: 2:48pm On Jun 16, 2023 |
lhordspy: Ribadu, the security adviser to Tinubu will still be performing the same task & function as NSA(National Security Adviser). He will be operating from ONSA(Office of the National Security Adviser), and be over-seeing the structure of the entire security agencies as a whole, thereby advising the president accordingly on steps, approach, improvement and changes to make.
The only difference is that, the intelligence agencies ( NIA, DSS, DIA ) will be reporting directly to Tinubu now, instead of the NSA. Which means wont be having NSA.
President Tinubu, probably employ that modality and structural shift to avoid lack of respect or trust between the Military and Ribadu, a fmr. police officer. We all know there has been long standing power-tussles over functions & seniority between the Military and the police.
If you look at most of the SAs appointed well. You will realise they are strategist, capable and trusted fellows who can deliver. This will leave the ministerial positions to politicians. Politicians are corrupt and cant effect changes, they are only after their pocket and political status. But they must be compensated, that is politics. Tinubu knows this, so his best bet are on his Special advisers. Reason he is putting forward his best cards there. you people should shut up for once ! They are capable like say na you go do am for them. This was how you were all making noise about Sai baba leading from the front. He is a general this and that and where are we today ? amerengues: Interesting!
By God's grace, it will come down gradually. Consequent upon subsidy removal, an attendant soaring prices of commodities is expected as fuel appears to be the fulcrum of many production and services in Nigeria.
A teeming population of this country may not fancy BAT owing to the attendant controversies glued to the mention of his name, however, a very objective and unbiased mind, he has truly hit the ground running.
At this stage, please bury your hate and anger and let's work together to the betterment of the country. If he fumbles, the citizenry have every right to demand accountability, good governance and transparency as it's our right.
May God strengthen our leaders with good intentions. when the foundation is bad , God will never be involved. E go come down e go come down. He has good intentions he has good intentions na so 8 years was blown, emerging the worse. Oga , you never reason or learn |
