How tell us
dangote will make more profits exporting refine products to Africa countries than selling to Nigerians because Nigerians Don't have the purchasing power to buy it so the best option is to repair any of the refineries and use that refinery to focus on meeting domestic demand so the government sets the price for products from pH refinery.dangote refinery will sell at international price.

But we don't know if pH refinery can meet domestic demand.

2024 will be Ololo period, some dead stocks will be hyped. Few people will make money from such stocks but majority will get their fingers burnt

Invest with knowledge, information, facts and figures.
some people look at stocks alone instead of the services and products the companies offer and also the demand for those services.

Politics / Re: Bloomberg Predicts Naira Will Record Worst Performance In 25 Years In 2024 by Bizibi(m): 1:00pm On Dec 30, 2023
Faiththatworks:
I believe there's a coordinated attempt to instill fear in the minds of Nigeria concerning 2024.
I read Dr Sobowale column in the Vanguard online edition today and I was really bemused and flabbergasted, his doom day prophecy concerning 2024 is worse than what Isreal faced in the bible during the famine and drought of Prophet Elijah.
He predicted food scarcity, currency scarcity, fuel scarcity, forex scarcity and concluded 2024 will be very difficult year for Nigerians.
Bloomberg has decided to follow the same pattern as the Dr of Doom by predicting the Nigerian currency will perform terribly in 2024 meaning expect more devaluation of the currency next year.
I beg to disagree with all these Messages of Doom being released by these so called experts, even when Baba Buhari with his Buharinomics was using 98% of our earnings to pay off foreign debt, the Naira didn't collapse.
These experts all have something in common, they always try to downplay the significant impact the Dangote Refinery and the port Harcourt refinery will have on the economy of Nigeria.
In the report by Bloomberg, they alluded that things will get better if Nigeria is able to produce more crude oil,I daresay Nigeria is already producing more, with local refining expected to Increase significantly in 2024, Nigeria will definitely produce more.
2024 is the year my country will turn a corner for good, like Dr Rewane said, revenues have increased by 200%,the states and local government have more money to work with.
I can testify to this because my mother's pension in Lagos state was increased by 105% in the month of December.
Naysayers should keep their message of Doom cos things are about to get better in Nigeria.
God bless Nigeria.
you better plan your year well,2024 will be very rough especially civil servants....plan your year well,i already know how the year will be I have started planning......this is not doomsday prophesy, the government is planning to put in tougher policies and they are choking policies.

they won't listen....bankers are not fit for that position only grounded economists with experience can head that sensitive position.

Soludo and sanusi are perfect examples then the woman that stabilize Russia economy and currency is an economist. I see Bankers are business people.......

All the new banks that sprang up in the last 3/4 years till date should be thoroughly investigated.

Those banks were acquired by CBN officials with ill gotten wealth by proxy.

I sincerely hope the investigator will be allowed to beam his search light in the direction of those managing NNPC. After he is done with Emiefele, Kyari should be next.

A lot of corruption in the oil sectors too.
looks like nnpc is off limits for now and I am sure tinubu and his predecessor have an agreement. Kyari was not supposed to come back.

To determine if a company has excesss leverage, I use

Net Debt/ Earnings Before Interest and Taxes .

Should not be more than 3 years.

With the N20 million portfolio above, assuming the dividend was N2 million. A loan of N5 million to N6 million can accessed.

But if na Omatek or other non dividend paying stocks that gave the N20 million portfolio value, it will be better to rebalance the portfolio in order to avoid a margin call in the future

A N20 million non dividend paying portfolio can turn to a N5 million portfolio
I perfect explanation.....
