I am indeed flattered by my friends in this tread and they are as follow nike4luv, ToyM28, kellorah! You girls are making me feel too high but ,   Actually, I never knew this poem could earn me anything on this earth but I was surprise when in less than three month I wrote the poem, a publishing house in London, Poetry Now under the umbrella of Forwardpress, accepted the poem for publication in her then forthcoming anthology. And ever since then I've learnt to believe in the poem.

Ladies, your applaud reminds me of the day I received the letter of acceptance of this poem from the said publishing house in London. Thank you so much for liking and applauding the poem, not me!

Fraternally,
Aderemi Adegbite

This is interesting. You girls are really catching fun here with your loved ones, I guest. And some real guys kept coming to see your stuffs. I am here to intervene with some mathematical expression. Enjoy it.

Gravity Of Love

Mathematicians build the world
Mathematicians rule the world
Nothing without mathematical expression in the world,

My believe is in codes and numbers
My believe is in logic and equations
That leads to logical reasoning.

Many problems I've solved by codes and equations
All equations I've solved by logic, symbols and numbers
Yet I'm not satisfied by my lifetime pursuits.

One day, one day I asked myself
What is the right number or symbol?
What is the perfect equation?
What truly is LOGIC?
And who decides right reasoning?

In cause of no answer to my quest,
I traveled through the physical and metaphysical,
I traveled through the delusional and mystical
And at last back to the physical.

I made most important invention of my life career
That it's only in the mysterious equation; logic of love
Any logical; mystical and psychological reasoning can be found.
It's you in me I only believe that's true and real.

Your love is mysterious as an echo in my heart,
Your love is natural as life in my heart;
Forever will you be new as day in my life.
You're the only reason why I live and continue
In my logic, equation, number, symbol and code.

Poems For Review / Re: : A Smile As Beautiful As Yours by blackest(m): 11:00am On Jul 20, 2006
I think it is fantastic to cherish ones treasure. Our children are our treasure and sort of the earth. I like this poem. But I will like as well to look at it from another angle. This is a poem I wrote three years ago based on my experience and i think it fits into this tread. Enjoy it.

Free Love

Scientist is my lovely little lass,
In velocity and acceleration she believes
And mixed molecules of chemical with base.

Her presence packs me off my feet,
Her eloquence perfects the paragon I paint;
In her heart tenderness I faint!

Awakened by fragrances perceived through her pass;
Let go not her affection is ranting;
Her emotion, ejaculated me off my pant!

Love the thread of emotion
That gathers passion and action,
And abort first sight portion,

Guide me through passion of mission;
Strengthen my motion with power of expression
Coded in action of explanation.

Free love is distinct from all love,
But love I have is hate to love;
Misinterpretation cause commotion of emotion.

Expression pair action calm aggression
When explanation explains main mission
Moved by motion of firm affection.

When my eyes pierce the sky,
I skipped to see but your name
Boldly blinking like stars in the shy.

The only masterpiece I know as Angel,
My heart is heavy and fragile
While your dazzling figure kept calling for agile.

I am whole here for attention
To review my main mission
And break silence of my motion.

I feel you deep down my heart,
But your emotion never convey my motion,
Friendship, in the depth of emotion its my mission!

The Trial Of Poets

Case number one hundred and eight
Allegation stated: the trial of poets
Presume all present in this court?
Poets are guilty of nonchalant
Towards life when they chant
And humans elevated above height

Poets are murderer of words
In pursuant of rhymes and rhythms
All in the name of poetic licenses!

My Lord, I am the spokesman for poets
We gathered today to defend our faith,
With elaborate explanations "We're not guilty"

Poets are romantic
Poets are passionate
Poets are affectionate

They see things in different ways
They view life in complex manners
And break it down to simplest views

Passions flow out of poets
Emotions gush out of poets
Affections rush out of poets

Though lines in systematic ways,
Form stanzas in logical manners
Accomplished with unique titles.

Poets are Marvelous
Poets are Mysterious
Poets are Contentious

At times they seem blind
But see clearer than eagles
In search for daily bread.

At times they seem dumb
But are paretic through powerful media;
Pen on paper to speak their mind.

At times they seem deaf
But clearer than the broken walls,
And think wisely before they talk.

At times they seem naked
But clothed like chameleon,
Only caring less of that you cherish.

Going up and down of the beach
Is search of rhymes and rhythms,
The wildest in the network of poets.

The heaven and earth
The sum, the moon and the stars
Are eternal poets.

The South and the West
The North and the East,
Sing rhythmical songs.

Poets are Marvelous
Poets are Mysterious
Poets are Contentious

This court has jurisdiction over poets
And as the spokesman of the poets,
Hence my Lord, my case I rest.

I, the judges of this court
Am a prototype of a poet,
For I preside over this court.

Lawyers and court clerks are poets,
Plaintiffs and defendants are poets,
They arrange their statements systematically before the court;

With effective defense of poets
Thus panel of judges of this law court
Discharge and acquit poets!

This short poem is indeed a good. HER: this in a woman makes her anatomy. POWER: this is what she controls with her anatomy and LIFE: is struggle, stress and aftermath of her anatomy.

Hallucination

I don't know who he was
So I'm scared of his shadow
Along the lengthy lightless street
I screamed when he came closer
But he stood still behind my shadow.
I saw traces of muscular movement
Towards the lonely path I tread,
At a point I heard massive sound
In batches of muggy muscular troops
Trodden towards my lonely path
All in trance of shattered shadows,
I mellow down on my roaring race
And suddenly stood still on a spot
Then I felt a fierce grip
Of the faceless shadow firmly
On my fragile shoulder's hill
Intermittently, breathless slowly I turned
To view the huge aghast figure
Though once even prior death
But in realization I met
Not fierce figure neither any mug
Nor am I on any lightless street,
Though my rum mind set
Amidst my comic and art library.

This is group is fantastic. But the problem is that we are not talking poetry with poetry. Please let us try as much as possible to speak in poetic tone.

Thanks.

Bed Kiss

Drizzle dropping down the cloud
Never net nasty heavily rainfall,
Dew drizzling down the cloud
Drastically during dusk and dawn failing
Makes mighty most ocean not.
Tongue and teeth rift often
Though settle not second past.
My dearest darling ages love
Mellow down your uncommon rave'
Today wrong tilt towards my path
Tomorrow might unfold your part.
Love bears certain circumstances
As life father unmeasured instances.
I crave your perfect pardon dearest darling;
I'll henceforth turn right from my wrong dealings,
Honey, a five minute lasting long caressing kiss
Assure your tender heart pleases
Here on the bed I want, elsewhere not!

Press Release

Poetry Potter, a presentation by Kowry Kreations Media has now recorded five editions since the launch of this programme in January, this year. Hence, we have kept faith with our mission statement “towards the revitalization and sustainability of African arts, culture and value systems through oral, recitation and performance poetry, folktales and songs, which were the nucleus of education and intellectual discussion in the ancient period of Africa.

Since the principal aim of Kowry Kreations Media, as a literary organization, is to create a platform where creativity might be exhibited and enhanced, we thought it befitting to include within the vessel of our programme, Poetry Potter, two other interesting segments. These are: African Voices in the Diaspora and a Yearly Publication of an anthology of poems, short dramas and songs presented since the inception of the programme and to offer an audio CD. The first publication of the anthology and the CD respectively will be launched at the 12th edition of Poetry Potter, which is billed for January, 2007. Therefore, African Voices in Diaspora is aimed at giving our in-house audience the opportunity to listen and appreciate the creative ingenuity of African writers in other parts of the world. And also give African writers, in the Diaspora, the opportunity to participate in the programme at every edition. This will take effect from this month. Interested writers should send his/her work(s) to kowrykreationsmedia@yahoo.com with ten lines of bio-data.

As it is in our tradition to have a literary icon who chairs the event, as the Guest Artiste at every edition, Akeem Lasisi, the winner of the ANA-Cadbury Poetry Award 2005 and the Art editor of The Punch (newspaper) is our Guest Artiste of the month. The creator of Minus Poetry, Wale Ajakaye, will be at the event, not to recite minus poetry but to sing Ijala, the song of the hunters. Segun Tobi whose stage name is Are, also promises to thrill the audience with his unique African rhythm.

We must apologise that Poetry Potter could not be hold last month, June 2006, for logistical reasons. You can only imagine how disappointed we, the organizer of the programme, were.

We request you join us for the July edition, the sixth edition, which will be held on 29th July, 2006, at the National Library Hall, opposite the Casino Cinema, Alagomeji, Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria. The programme will start by 4 p.m., so please by prompt, no African time. Endeavour to come in your native attire. Admission is free!

I am indeed sorry if my sending of the Press Release has caused inconvenience in this group. I had thought that this Press Release is Nigerians and Africans writers who are member of this Group, that was the reason why I sent it in the first instance. However, I tender my unreserved apology to whole member of the group.

Thanks.

Aderemi Adegbite.
