Bros weldone , Axamansard people said 92days is the maximum number of days they can do for study insurance and maximum age is 27yrs... Pls since the embassy is requesting for medical insurance to cover the duration of stay in Italy. Would that work? Or can someone do 3months? because this people are not giving correct info about the visa documents. Anybody that has gotten visa of recent should pls throw light on the medical insurance of a thing. Thanks

Yes, 3months travel insurance is fine.
No, there is no age limit/requirement for buying a travel insurance.

I have now transferred all the numbers to the Italian group Admin.

Although the group is full right now, the Admin will try and create space. So each person will be added one at a time.
So kindly be patient.
Thanks.

And if you plan to legalize any document at the Consulate, it is compulsory to translate it.

Good day bro.

Please is it necessary to translate an affidavit alongside other documents?

Will the embassy classify the affidavit as a non-academic document and charge for it?

Thanks

An affidavit is considered a non-Academic document, yes.

Good day everyone. I'm really sorry for not responding to my dm and emails. I'm sort of busy right now.
If the main purpose of sending me a dm is to join the WhatsApp group, you may find a way of dropping your contact here without getting sanctioned by Nairaland.

For other types of enquiries, I may be unavailable for now.
Thanks.

PS: But I will always try to answer any questions asked of me here.

Does the translated documents need to be authenticated as well?

Of course not. The translated copies are just meant for the purposes of record keeping at the Consulate.

You only need to authenticate original and photocopy of your academic and non-academic docs (and not the translated copies).

Any need to authenticate a UK bachelor degree certificate at the ministry of education and foreign affairs?

No, MoE only has a jurisdiction over degrees obtained in Nigeria. They therefore cannot authenticate a foreign degree certificate.

Pls, are we to legalize the documents required for scholarships too?

1. Family composition
2. Declaration family income and assets
3. Bank balance certificates

Thanks for the anticipated response.

No, the Italian Consulate in Nigeria no longer legalize any of those documents that you mentioned.

The family income document can however be legalized in Rome. And this is only possible for those who have received a visa and can travel to Italy to get it done, because it cannot be done by proxy.

@Blawjj.... Thank you for your response...

I have receipt for Ministry of Foreign Affairs but it’s only sticker attached to my docs I have for the Ministry of Education.. The Agent I used said they don’t issue for Min of Education and non of his client has ever had any issues with their legalization.... The he agent was introduced to me by the official translator at TBS in Lagos....And they assured me...

Everything looks set.... Just to be double sure of all my documents.

For the DOV...I meant if I would fill a form on that day before going back there to pick it up.....

Thanks

I believe they only ask for your MFA receipt. After legalization, you will be asked to come back a week later for your DOV. No need to fill any form as long as you have pre-enrolled on the Universitaly website, and printed the summary.

Good day guys.. Nice work...I'm new here though I have been following people's thread and it has been helpful.

My questions. I'm done with Abuja and Translation.... I'm booked for August to legalize my documents at the Italia Consulate. Please for the sake of double confirmation. 1-What are the documents that I will be legalizing.....
2- Am I also getting my DOV immediately at the consulate or there is a special application for it ?
3- What receipt of legalization do they ask for ….. Ministry of Education or Foreign affairs

Please I need your urgent response. Thank you

1. The same documents that you authenticated in Abuja i.e Academic and Birth docs.

2. You will be asked to come back after some few days to collect your DOV.

3. Make sure you go with both. They can ask for either especially the one from MFA.

For those going for legalization, take note that the legalization of affidavits and non-academic documents at the Consulate costs N21,000 each.
Legalization of academic documents is free.

Please, does anybody have idea if someone can be able to get a short stay Study Visa without pre enrollment being validated.
I have Test to attend at Italy, and my pre enrollment isn't yet validated by the University.
Any suggestions on how to tackle this issue will be appreciated! Thanks.

Send me a dm.

For those that wants to meet up with this year's admission, you need to authenticate your documents in Abuja FAST, and also translate them.

I can connect you with someone who can help you, without you having to travel to Abuja. Very soon, the application deadlines of many schools and the embassy will close for this academic year. So it's in one's best interest to act fast.

Thanks for this clarification. What about certificates and others. I learnt that at the Ministry of Education and foreign affairs one needs to authenticate o'level, bsc, trancript amd birth certificates.

Also, doesn't one need to translate the legalized documents as well?

Below is a comprehensive list of docs to be authenticated in Abuja, and secondly, to be legalized at the Italian Consulate:

• Declaration of Age from High Court (for those born b4 Dec, 1992)

• NPC Attestation of Birth

*OTHER DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR AUTHENTICATION & LEGALIZATION*

• WAEC/GCE/NECO original certificate

• Original BSc certificate (for those applying for Masters)

• University transcript (for those applying for Masters)

• Secondary School transcript (for those applying for Bachelor's)

NB: One can translate all these documents during, before or after the process of authentification. But ALL docs must be translated BEFORE legalization at the Consulate.
Translated copies do NOT need to be authenticated.

Hey! How can I reach you? I need your contact at the MFA. I need to authenticate my police report. I’ll be in Abuja before my application, so I will be able to walk in to do it. How can I get his contact?

You can send me an email.

For anyone that wants to authenticate their documents in Abuja, you can message me.

I have a contact who works at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja.

So he can help anyone that wants to do authentication by proxy at MoE & MFA without that person having to travel.

Best of luck guys. Italian visa will be yours this year by the grace of God.

Hello guys. Please i need your assistance. I am abit confused with the whole process. I have authenticated and legalized my certificates SSCE, BSC, MSC but at the embassy, the lady said she won't give me DoV because i didn't submit my transcript. And for real they legalized all documents but didn't give me a DoV.
So my question is, which of the transcripts do I translate for DoV? The Msc or Bsc?? Also do i need to authenticate my transcripts in Abuja before the translations??
Thanks

You need to collect your BSc transcript from your University. Then you will need to authenticate it in Abuja.
Then translate it.

Finally, you may then go back to the Consulate to legalize your BSc transcript.

You do NOT need to legalize other docs again.
After legalizing your transcript, you will then receive your DoV.

Without DoV, it may be impossible to enrol in your chosen University or Poly.
