PoliticsRe: Ten Completed Refineries In Nigeria And Their Production Capacity by Blazetrailer: 3:33pm On Jun 22, 2024
This must be a Bot.
Otherwise, a human being, no matter how dense he or she is, wouldn't even think this talk more of posting it online.

With all these refineries Nigeria is still importing petroleum products in huge numbers and borrowing to pay subsidy by Tinubu. So how exactly is Nigeria being great?

Good. Nigeria will be great again
God will shame those who are waiting for us to be mocked because we didn't vote for their bad product they tried to impose on us

PoliticsRe: Nigerian Army Air Brigade Takes Form With Assault Helicopters by Blazetrailer: 5:16am On Jun 22, 2024
...buffonery of the highest order. Who is talking about number of countries using it. The question is if its still relevant in this current dispensation of sophisticated air weaponry and unmanned air attack and defence crafts. If this is what Nigeria is calling its special air defence unit, then it is more than shameful. It should be hidden and not shown to the public. Some states here have more than these in terms of crafts and support system(support and logisics system make 50% of a warforce)

...and while at it, dunce I do not bneed to use Google unlike you, it is the industry I spent years in before moving to another. Google is meant for knowledge skimmers like you

Way to go
Foreign AffairsRe: Thousands Protest Against New Tax Proposals In Kenya, Nairobi on Standstill by Blazetrailer:
When you see people who dont even have the basic idea of economics or finance coming online to talk rubbish, like experts, only to regurgitate the often ballooned half truths and propaganda from the side of the government, which are aimed at beclouding the the poulace so that they could continue to loot unabated, it gives me an idea of how Tinubu got the wrong advices in the first place.

To start with, it is not the subsidy removal that has caused the huge inflation, it is more of a combination of too much naira circulating and the devaluation of the currency. The wrongest decision was accepting to devalue the naira(note that it is not floated as they claim).

Secondly, does this block head below know that subsidy is back, heavier than what Buhari was paying and Tinubu is borrowing to finance subsidy at the moment(World bank/IMF records). So what "bold" decisions were taken if some are being surreptitiously returned?

These dumdums just accept whatever the government dishes out to them as information, hook, line and sinker, without engaging their brains to evaluate whether it is correct or not. Subsidy was gone but is now back and bigger

DeLaRue:
Nigeria is going through an economic transition that should have happened decades ago.

All former Presidents from Obj knew subsidy was unsustainable but none had the courage to remove it.

The moment GEJ saw a few people protesting at Ojota, he panicked and declared he was no longer removing subsidy. You can't blame anybody for leader who lacked courage.

They also knew the refineries were not working. Did Obj, or GEJ revive any of the refineries?

Now we have a courageous leader who has removed the insidious subsidy as other President's should have done.

While subsidy removal has unforunately caused a lot of hardship, not removing it would have caused even worse hardship in the future.

Kenya has its problems. Our problems are different, and I believe Nigeria's economy will start turning the corner before the end of the year.

We do not need a protest here.

PoliticsRe: We Are Ready To Sacrifice Allowances For Workers To Get ₦150k - Senator Wadada by Blazetrailer: 9:57am On Jun 21, 2024
Tinubu was never and not an accountant, abeg!!.

RoyalUc:
O helinues! grin

Whether he's sincere or not, he has clearly shown that:
- He acknowledges there is hardship in the land
- He feels the pain of and empathizes with the citizens unlike those who still live in denial just because of politics
- He has publicly acknowledged that their pay is too bogus and if reduced, the excess could be used to pay Nigerian workers.

Tinubu, being an Accountant, People who are believed to be frugal and judicious in managing resources, he should have done this but rather doing the opposite

You beat me to it.

Look at the nonsense these dafts are parading as cutting edge special air attack equipmenthuh

Dogalmighty17:
What a log of garbage. The Huey that the US used in Vietnam is what our army depends on as cutting edge close air support tech? The huey? This platform that was developed in the early 1950s before Nigeria got independence?

In contested airspace where bandits across the North have access to weapon systems that bring down fast moving fighter jets, a huey that its maximum speed is 127mph is just a flying coffin. Who the hell thought this was a good idea?

The US is about to retire several hundred of its A-10 warthogs. That's about the most capable close air support platform around. Since the US is now willing to sell weapon platforms to Nigeria, they might consider selling some A-10s to us. Even though that's a tall order.

2024 and na Huey wey oyibo don forget about since 1950 na him our army fall hand dey buy so. Shebi dem no see blackhawk buy as dem go market?

PoliticsRe: World Bank Doubts CBN’s Ability To Curb Inflation Employing Rate Hikes by Blazetrailer: 8:06am On Jun 21, 2024
Now that official records are out that Tinubu has borrowed more than any government put together in just 3 months, the fool that you are can not comprehend that paying back debts or interest on loans were not the reasons behind the poor economic decisions of your master. He simply got it wrong.

omohayek:
As if all the recycled angry gibberish you wrote demonstrates anything other than your ability to spew the kind of nonsense other ignorant Nairalanders want to read. Do you even have the first clue why Tinubu was forced (yes, forced) to adopt the measures he took in the first place? Do you think he wouldn't have preferred to play to the gallery of entitled semi-illiterates like you for cheap popularity if he had any choice in the matter?

Here's the answer: worldwide interest rates rose sharply over the last 2 years, meaning the cost of servicing all that debt accumulated under both GEJ and Buhari was no longer sustainable for a federal government already burdened with gigantic subsidies on both petrol and electricity. Something had to give, and if Tinubu had chosen to default on foreign loans for the sake of keeping fuel and electricity prices artificially low, Nigeria would have been cut off from international financial markets for a decade or more, and the current hardship you think you're enduring would seem like a luxury holiday by comparison.

Honestly, it's tiresome seeing all of you loudmouths confidently rambling on about matters of which you have absolutely no comprehension. You're the same sorts of buffoons who think you can tell Christian Ronaldo how he should be playing while sitting in bukas nursing your pot bellies with bottles of stout.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria’s Worrisome Corporate Exodus - Punch Editorial by Blazetrailer:
Question is, how does Regionalism prevent same systemic corruption, irresponsible governance and improve security? So basic a question. Leave comments about Tinubu aside.

We are quick to catch on current trend and phrases as populist ideas just because one mofo suggested it as lazy and poorly thought through solutions to Nigeria's problem and everyone latches to it. Before it was Parliamentary system of government that was a solution, now, it is Regionalism. As if the people who will run the Regional governments are going to come from heaven as a special breed of incorruptible and effective ones with magic wands.

On God knows know the breed of stupidity that Nigerians have, it s an incurable one.
Not surprised though, as Ford Coppola said, "Never estimate the power of idiots in a large number in a society, they can elect one of them to lead the society"...that is what is happening to Nigeria now.

seunayantokun:
I don't think my opinion stops you from hating Tinubu if you believe that solves Nigeria's problems. But I'm entitled to my opinion on how the evil duo of systemic corruption and insecurity which have resulted in the present economic woes can be dealt with.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria’s Worrisome Corporate Exodus - Punch Editorial by Blazetrailer: 7:53am On Jun 19, 2024
Hogwash! What can Regionalism do?
Nigeria was comatose before but the plugs were pulled off the life support machine by the current heno smoker of a president.

seunayantokun:
It is myopic to not see this from the root. Those whose object of blame is only the present administration at the federal level have not looked at it properly. For me, systemic corruption which started long ago and insecurity created by 'we-must-always-be-in-power-at-all-cost' Fulani chief executive terrorists and and their foot soldiers have resulted in the present. The only solution to start with is either going back to regionalism or breaking up. If we don't want the latter, at least the former remains desirable. Those shouting for Peter Obi and against Tinubu should not forget both of them are parts and parcel of the present suffering, and none of them can do anything until you change the devil's book of suffering you call the 1999 Constitution.

Very poor job at defending a failure. Look for another job.

APC should seek for a refund for the brazen lies you put down here.

Themanleshey:
So we should leave someone that performed as 8 years governor and follow Obi that have nothing to show for 8 good years ?

Tinubu gave autonomy to local government , and even created more Local government that made Obasanjo seize his allocation for almost 4 years .

Obi enjoyed his full allocation but never conducted local government elections nor create more local government for 8 years .

Tinubu built schools , but your Obi did not build school for 8 years .

Tinubu created RRS , special police square for Lagos and they were well equipped , what did Obi do in terms of security .

Tinubu Increased Lagos IGR from less that a billion to 15 billion in less that 8 years , Obi IGR was stagnant for 8 good years ! Shame !

Tinubu , went out of his way and Nigeria constitution to invest in power project just to make sure Lagos electricity improve , states are not allowed to generate power but he went out of his way and invested in PPI projects , what was Obi investments to power projects?

Do you think we are fools ? You only voted Obi because he’s your tribal man not because he was a performer !

He was never a performer !

Now Nigeria does not borrow loan like previous government

Allocation to states have increased by 46 % , hold your governors accountable .

Nigeria now pay and service their debts , both foreign and loans debts .

Last administration did not invest in agriculture in that last 1 years of his tenure , like they traditionally do yearly , was why there is scarcity of food .

This government has invested massively in agriculture and we expect price of food to come down .

Subsidy is gone on jet fuel , diesel , kerosine . Partially on petrol and it will end as soon as dangote refinery start producing fuel .

In terms of security , bandits are now referred to as territories , they are now killing them in mass , unlike previous government where they remained untouchable .

Daft, you have nothing to debate about anyway.

Project is a fraud between Tinubu and the Lebanese
Just like the Lekki Epe Road by HITec, it will be abandoned and bought back by the Government at an exorbitant price, using your money. While idiots like you lack basic amenities to make life simpler and more meaningful...no portable water, bad roads, no electricity, poorest health facilities, insecurity, no fuel/scarcity, yet you will celebrate commissioning of a conduit for siphoning your collective wealth to private pockets abroad....your big loss...
To you, that is an achievement, but to those who value life, there is more to commissioning a road to be tolled while you face proverty, lack, insecurity, and certain death if you ever get injured in an accident in Nigeria(you will weep for Nigeria if you go to any Govt hospital or Teaching hospitals and see how people die just because of lack of basic things like electricity and water to carry out emergency operations, things that are in surplus abroad here). There is a reason the life expectancy of Nigerians is low...keep deluding yourself and celebrating mediocrity. You have one life to live, waste it on being a cheerleader of those who have sold your generational inheritance. Oponu!

Ikumapkayi:
There is no point involving you in a logical debate as I can see you are enemy of anything good. If you like continue to wail and rant, the project is on course and first phase would be commissioned next year
