European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Brendan Rodgers Won't Have The Three Leicester Players Available For The Premier by Blazy442(m): 6:06pm On Aug 12, 2022
Leicester City are the visitors to the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon as they face Arsenal and Brendan Rodgers has got a number of injury problems to deal with
Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that Leicester City has no fresh injury concerns ahead of facing Arsenal.
Unlike the Gunners against London rivals Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, the Foxes failed to see out a 2-0 lead in their opening game of the brand new Premier League season last weekend as they were ultimately held to a 2-2 draw at home to Brentford.
In a massive blow for Rodgers before a ball was even kicked at the King Power Stadium, he was unable to call upon the services of Ricardo Pereira, Harvey Barnes and Ryan Bertrand due to Achilles and knee injuries, respectively, and the situation hasn't changed ahead of facing Arsenal.
The trio are set to miss the game at the Emirates Stadium, but in a potential warning to Arteta, experienced striker Jamie Vardy is expected to travel as he looks to get off the mark this season, and he does have a good goalscoring record against the Gunners with 11 goals in 14 appearances.
"There's nothing new," Rodgers told reporters, as per the club's official website. "Everyone (expected to be available) is okay to be in the squad. "There's nothing specific. "He's (Barnes) been with the medical team. He still has an irritation around the knee, but I don't have an exact time on that."
"The importance of looking after the ball is very important," Rodgers added. "We've been training in it. The players have worked so well this week. Over the course of 90 minutes, it does have an impact. You've got to deal with these things when they arrive."
This weekend's game could also be significant for Youri Tielemans amid talk of joining Arsenal before the summer transfer window closes on September 1. Whilst football.london understands there is no rush to sign the Belgian unless other clubs begin to push for his signature, a good performance could force Arteta and technical director Edu into a U-turn.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Arsenal Told Three Key Reasons Why To Sign Yeremy Pino Amid Villarreal..... by Blazy442(m): 7:56am On Aug 12, 2022
Arsenal have been linked with a number of talented wingers this summer after Mikel Arteta revealed the club want more signings before the transfer deadline.

The Gunners have already spent well over £100million for a second successive summer after securing deals for Gabriel Jesus, Fabio Vieira, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Matt Turner and Marquinhos. Mikel Arteta revealed how the club are still trying to secure more signings prior to the transfer deadline at the end of the month after watching his side beat Crystal Palace 2-0 at Selhurst Park.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Pino with the club keen to add a new winger to Arteta’s squad after being snubbed by former Leeds winger Raphinha in favour of a move to Barcelona. The Villarreal starlet has previously admitted he models himself on Manchester United icon Cristiano Ronaldo and now Martinez has offered more encouragement about Pino’s character and ability.

Sports / Arsenal Have Hit A ‘new Level’ After ‘world Class’ Signings, Says Leicester Boss by Blazy442(m): 10:09pm On Aug 11, 2022
Brendan Rodgers believes Arsenal have hit “a new level” following an ambitious summer in the transfer market.

Mikel Arteta has added Matt Turner, Marquinhos, Fabio Vieira, Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko to a squad who only narrowly missed out on Champions League qualification last season, while William Salbia’s return from various loan spells has strengthened the defence.

The Arsenal boss has also hinted at making further additions having watched his side beat Crystal Palace in impression fashion to get their Premier League campaign off to a winning start.
