Clutching engaging and disengaging of gear remains a key feature of the ever dependable automobile manual transmission which still continues to be a sure pick for genuine petrol heads over the much embraced and now invogue automatic transmission. The clutch system is a mechanical composition that enables the easy transmission of gears while in motion. in as much as this system is built to stand the test of time it still remains susceptible to wear and tear that happens over time. Do you a drive a manual transmission car ? if thats the case then stay engage as this post xrays possible tale signs that would indicate you have a worn out clutch plate that should be replaced. 1. BURNT SMELL One sure way to know you v got to have your clutch inspected is by perceiving burnt smell like that of a tire while you drive , this is usually as a result of constantly riding on your clutch pedals while in motion. at any point if you happen to perceive this sort of smell it best you visit your specialist for an inspection. 2. HIGH RPM LOW SPEED High RPM ( revolution per minute) occasioned with low acceleration or speed is another clear indication that your clutch might be due for change. having to rev up your car well enough to attain a decent speed even on high gears is a clear pointer that your clutch fibre of disc as a whole should be replaced. 3. CLUTCH FLUID LEVEL The level of your clutch fluid can also determine if your CLUTCH is worn out or not. in this case its best to examine your fluid if you notice any anomalies with your clutch although some car manufacturers do not specify where to find the clutch fluid but in most cases they are usually built with the brake master cylinder so simply checking the brake fluid could say a lot about the state of your clutch. 4. LOW ENGINE POWER WHEN PULLING A LOAD. Another good way of knowing the condition of your clutch is when your car is laden. in this situation a good and effective clutch system would transfer adequate engine power to the wheels to balance the equation if there is a drop in engine power it clearly means that the clutch is distributing little or no power to the wheels and as such should be considered for inspection. http://www.automobileinfo.com.ng/2017/03/tale-signs-you-have-worn-out-clutch.html

Ride sharing apps have gradually gained a great deal of acceptance in Nigeria all thanks to the ever increasing growth of internet usage amongst our people. nowadays with the tap of a simple button on our phone we could easily be conveyed round town in utmost comfort and at an affordable rate compared to the conventional taxi,s . Ride sharing in Nigeria owes its rapid growth to the widespread popularity of the internet , mobile devices and our constant crave for innovation. all these and many more factors are the reason why global ride sharing tech brands like UBER, TAXIFY, EASY TAXI, OGA TAXI, and a host of other up and coming start ups have really pitched their tents in Nigeria. Before now the Market had been a bit Monopolized by global brand UBER due to their superior and ever demanding standards, placing more emphasis on the rider rather than the partner drivers whom ironically are the main actors of this script. this has enabled other recent start up to leverage on this single flaw of UBER to garner more popularity in the Market by creating a more friendly platform that seems a lot more accommodating to partner drivers. We ll take a short look at each of the major Ride sharing apps available in Nigeria. UBER Image result for uber Uber has established itself as one of the global brands when it comes to transportation networking or better still the ride sharing industry today.Launched in 2009 in San Francisco its operations now spans across 66 countries and 545 cities globally its safe to say that this brand calls the shot as regards ride sharing globally with only a few other elite brands to worry about as regards competition. Uber found its way into the Nigerian space in 2014 and currently runs in just two cities that is Lagos and Abuja presently. The app can be accessed through an android or ios device via the internet, Simply download the app via google play store for android user or apple store for apple devices and you are on your way to enjoying the most blissful rides ever. TAXIFY Image result for TAXIFY Taxify is gradually punching up the ladder in the transportation network space. founded in 2013 in Estonia this startup is gradually positioning itself as a leading player in an already competitive industry. with its operations spanning across 15 cities globally its safe to say that TAXIFY has come to stay. more on http://www.automobileinfo.com.ng/2017/01/ride-sharing-apps-and-nigerian-market.html

You are so so on point. i put up this thread on this forum and on my blog judging from my experience a couple weeks back. the point remains that tires should not be discarded based on their age and expiry date but rather on their overall condition. i put it to you that 80% of the commercial buses that ply our roads do so on expired and shabby looking tires but then these agencies blatantly ignore them to go after nice looking cars all in the name of generating revenue. Let us do things the right way and stop making a mess of ourselves. I have driven on wintry roads with snow and ice. some of us have been out of this country you know. having temperature b tyres coming from Texas does not makes the tires expired tires. the tires won't withstand higher speeds on hot surface. those tires are actually cheaper. I've also seen tires with a threadwear indicator of 250 and it was not a Chinese tire. I am talking of pirelli here. I will say it again and anywhere and I will defend it, tires don't have expiry date. use and other factors determine the useful life of a tire. all season tires give the best of both worlds in use but not in performance. an all season tire will not give you the grip a winter tire will give you on a snowy road. an all season tire will not give you the same grip and performance as a dedicated summer tire. I spent a year in Michelin Nigeria. their formulation is from France. the tires made in France and that made in Nigeria are the same for the same threadwear, speed and temperature rating. I was in testing. when a batch fails the test, it is either discarded or used to premix a batch of lower specification. I am waiting for that FRSC dunce that will stop me to check for expiry date. kam Mara ma ana aru tire na be nna ya.[/quote] |
Tires remain our first line of defence when driving on the road as our cars do not exactly have that direct contact with the road surface except through the tires. hence its therefore imperative to ensure that this all important component of our automobiles are constantly in great shape at all times. Its no new that the Federal and state governments through several of their regulatory agencies have embarked on stringent measures to ensure that our road are safer by ensuring that motorist do not drive with expired tires, this they do by conspicuously stopping vehicles at random on the express or high ways to check for expired tires, once found erring such a vehicle is subsequently impounded and and the owner made to pay huge sum as fine depending on the agency responsible for the arrest ( Road safety or VIO) This on its own remains a laudable move at least to curb the series of road accident on our roads due to bad tires but then the manner its been executed remains a facade to me. tires are meant to expire but then the expiry date shouldn't be the only cause to worry about. the condition and indeed the overall well being of the tire should also be taken into consideration( worn out tire with worn out treading). the fact that a tire is still within the stipulated age bracket doesn't mean it cannot constitute a great danger on the road sometimes these agencies purposely ignore commercial vehicles riding with seemingly won out tires only to go after private cars with obviously better looking tires hoping the expiry date on the tires might be way past. maybe the the top hierarchy heading these agencies need to re orientate its enforcement personnel as to doing the right thing. Without digressing far the motive remains laudable but the execution remains a cause for worry. The Federal Road Safety Corps are indeed living up to the billing but some of its personnel need to understand that its not all bout the expiry date on the tires but rather the overall condition of the tires as a whole. corps marshal please take note. http://www.automobileinfo.com.ng/ |

With the internet comes a whole lot of challenges especially in this clime where its quite safe to say that the know how is still lacking. Renowned E taxi company UBER recently shut down or better still deactivated most Nigerian drivers currently on the platform , their reason for doing so was more related to technical issues which had to do with server breakdown there by disallowing current drivers from logging on to the platform. This development which was experienced from Monday evening prompted the enraged drivers from logging in thereby storming the UBER NIGERIA lekki office in large numbers probably in search of an explanation and a possible solution to the imbroglio , this did not go down well with the residents of the vicinity as the drivers were said to have parked there cars indiscriminately all over the place causing movement restrictions for the residents of the area. Close sources to the UBER NIGERIA officials revealed that some drivers on the platform were in the habit of defrauding UBER and needed an exercise like this for proper verification. the affected drivers were however rescheduled for re verification exercise in order to keep things in check in a different location though http://www.automobileinfo.com.ng/2016/09/uber-nigeria-shuts-outs-nigerian.html |

Cars are like fashion that comes with quite a relative short lifespan , that is to say they come and go that easily , no thanks to the consistent level of inovation that has taken over our world with state of the art gadgets and equipments being produces every now and then which makes it quite easy to quickly retire existing once.. Cars have a four to five year window period for a particular model to linger around, this was the case a few years back though as newer models are now produced virtually on yearly basis nowadays as car manufactureres preconceptualise car models years before they are even produced . Lets take a look at these few cars that have been around on Nigerin roads long after they have been faced out in more established climes. TOYOTA CAMRY 1997-2000 (Tiny/Fat Light) Image result for toyota camry 1998 The Toyota camry 97 to 2000 model is one car that has remained a main stay on the Nigeian roads , notable for its duability and fuel efficient engine, this Camry popularly called Tiny or Fat light has beem more of a darling to the Nigerian motorist almost two decades after it was first launched. Found in virtuallly every nooks and cranies of the Nigerian roads the relatively cheap cost of maintenance for the 97/2000 Camry makes it a popular choice for an average Nigerian for a few more years to come. HONDA ACCORD 2003 (End of discussion) Image result for honda accord end of discussion The Honda Accord brand is one one that has ligered in the Nigerian auto space for quite a long time , but none beats the 2003 Accord in terms of longevity and staying power despite its seeminly mechnical issues. Image result for honda accord end of discussion Popularly called the End of Discussion , the 03 Accord is one car synonymous amongst the younger class of Nigerian motorists apparently because of its fushion of some bit of elegance, luxury and durabilty. plus or minus the Honda End of Discussuon is one car thats has been around for sometime and doesnt seem to be heading out anytime soon. TOYOTA SIENNA 1998 Image result for toyota sienna 98 I think this car stil hovers around mainly brcause of its commercial value , and maybe its ability to withstand tough terrains, the 98 Sienna is one car that is seen virtually everywhere on Nigerian roads, this very durable mini bus remains a favourite amongst the business class,( particularly the women) traders and enterpreneuers due to its size and commercial value, its also been recently deployed to convey passengers along interstate routes. One thing is certain the 98 Sienna is durable and is begining to make a bold ststement as a very commercially viable vehicle. TOYOTA HILUX 2006 Image result for toyota hilux 2006 The Toyota Hilux is one pickup truck know for its absoulute ruggedity and ability to navigate through uncanny and terrible road conditions. the Toyota hilux dares where other pickup trucks fail, thats just its level of depndabilty. Ther Hilux has carved a niche for its self as the number one choice weni it comes to choosing an official or commercial vehicle for governmemt and private parastatal in Nigeria, little wonder it is found almost at every corner on Nigerian roads. Several other cars have also been very present on the nigerian terrain for quite a good number of years but these were chosen on the backdrop of consisitensey and performance. see more of this on http://www.automobileinfo.com.ng/2016/08/these-cars-wont-just-leave-nigerian.html

Neduzze5:For clarity sake, the first paragraph is simple and straight it talks about the importance of having a set of good tires in your car and what the features you need to look out for when identifying an ideal tire, try to read through it isnt rocket science, Thanks. |
rhektor:Many thanks my friend, well noted , will include pictorial evidences to back these up , please kindly remember to visit our blogs through the following links, http://www.johnyblogscars.com/ , http://www.carfactshub.com/ Thanks again. |
Neduzze5:Many thanks for the observation but the sad thing is that i do not write to brandish punctuation marks but rather to sensitize people with ideal information's , Thanks again. |
Tire,s are certainly the first line of defence against any form of misharp while on the road , therefore its safe to say that having fit and good tires on your car gives you certain measure of security while on the roads but then what makes a car tire appear fit and good for the roads, perhaps its physical conditions, which includes good air pressure , clearly visible tire treads and an overall ideal physical state generally Speaking of the tire treads , do you realize that these tire treads actually represents something the tire treads were not just inscribed for decoration but rather have their specific functions and specifications for different types of cars and road conditions , there are about four kinds of tire treads which you see on tires fitted on vehicles that ply the roads on daily basis namely , the Symmetrical Treading, Directional Treading and Unidirectional Treading, lets shed more light on these tire treading and their appropriate road conditions. 1. SYMMETRICAL TREADING Image result for SYMMETRICAL TIRE TREADING Symmetrical treading are basically found in tires designed for non performance vehicles , this pattern involves a seemingly continuous groove or independent pattern that stretches through out the surface of the tire. Tires with the symmetrical tread patterns are most ideal for passenger vehicles due to their rather quite and lasting nature which makes them a fit for an everyday car , coupled with their ability to be rotated across different directions. 2. ASYMMETRICAL Tires with asymmetrical treading are ideally found in sports cars these sort of tires are specifically built for maximiun grip either on wet or dry roads, it features a pattern that sees the inner and middle part of the tires designed for wet and winter surfaces while the outer part is specifically designed for effective cornering. 3 DIRECTIONAL ( unidirectional) Tires with the unidirectional treading are built for high performance cars or vehicles as the case may be, this pattern entails a v shape in the middle of the tire coupled with large space of grooves between the tread blocks, these sort of pattern basically improves resistance especially at high speed , which makes it best suited for high performance vehicles. 4. DIRECTIONAL (asymmetrical) Tires with the asymmetrical treading are a fusion of several combinations, this involves the v pattern attributed to the directional tread and also the dry weather traction, in other words this sort of tire could be more ideal in both ways , In other words always use a tire best suited for your kind of vehicle and road condition as the first measure of safety begins with For More on This quickly subscribe to http://www.johnyblogscars.com/2016/07/tire-threads-and-their-meaning.html

Have you seen this? Really fascinating i must admit, transformation at its peak indeed. With the automotive world smoothly cruising towards the electrics, it is of little or no surprise that innovations like this are developed on daily basis, meet the latest semi electric truck dubbed the Nikola One. The Nikola One derived its name after Nikola Tesla the legendary inventor behind the inspiration know today as the electric car, a product of Nikola motors , just about the second automobile company to be named after the legendary inventor (Nikola Tesla) The Nikola One is to be powered by six electric motors that would produce a combine 2,000 horse power (hp) with an additional 3,700 lb-ft of torque, quite massive for an electric vehicle. Besides being powered by these massive electric motors the Nikola One is fitted with a two speed automatic transmission which transfers power adequately to the wheels these motors are to be powered by a huge 320 kilowatt battery which is to be renegized energized by a turbine and a regenerative braking system, this system sinply simply means that the Nikola One isnt your conventional plug in electric car , see more on http://www.carfactshub.com/2016/06/massive-2000-horse-power-electric-truck.html
