PoliticsFraud In Imo: IGP, EFCC Attention Called! by blesseffy(op):
In what appears to be a systematic set-up to drain the wealth of Imo state government, the attention of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the EFCC has once again been drawn to the N3.6bn contract fraud scandal. In a fresh petition filed to the office of the IGP by the Spaniard businessman, Jose Marin Lopez-Pepe through his counsel David ‘Diya Ashaolu of Velma Solicitors, seeking to keep the record straight about the N3.6n contract fraud scandal.

More is yet to be accounted for over the N1.2 Billion Naira, the 30% of the contract sum, released by the Imo state government for the project as take-off grant.

Going by the series of information that has been made public;
Only N450 million has been alleged to have been confiscated by the Spanish bank, what is the where about of the 750 million?
While the project has been declared failed

The Spanish government has reportedly taken some measures including freezing of the said money, as a zero-tolerance measure against corruption, what about Nigeria authorities?

Key Zenith bank staff (account officers), were allegedly indicted in the earlier petition to the EFFC, what happened after was?
If such degree of fraud still happen in our modern day banking, Central Bank of Nigeria most be sleeping, was this not the genesis of the scandal?
Imo state government functionaries were allegedly indicted in the earlier petition to the EFFC, what sanctions and actions have been taken?
These are still the same crop of persons managing the affairs of the state.

Why also is Mr. Emmanuel Benjamin Emenike, Managing Director of Hormipresa Group Limited, exonerated from this scandal and allowed to move very freely in convoy of his recently acquired fleets of exotic cars and with numerous properties acquired to himself while the Imo peoples’ project failed?

Is Mr Jose Marin Lopez-Pepe, truly a director of HORMIPRESA GROUP LIMITED as reported by Leadership Newspaper and some other media houses? Why would a Managing Director of same company cry foul and accuse his co-director of same crime he is guilty of… “Something is fishy”?

Cooperate Affairs Commission (CAC) should prove this!
Who is defrauding who in Imo state? Who has eaten the money, the Spaniard or Government instruments, bank officer or the MD of Hormipresa Group?

Imo people demands true accountability! Put the puzzles together, dear IGP
Why in the first place was a case of such magnitude deviated for an out-of-court settlement, with clearly pending matters arising from the EFCC?

Many thanks to the Spanish bank for singularly raising the alarm to the suspected money laundering; this is a clarion call to well meaning Nigeria to hold public officers accountable, do well to declare your stand with your comment box below this article.

Be it known to you that we have hacked, Iyanya twitter handle @iyanya because of the bad ways he has been treating women recently,
Iyanya has grown to be so fool of himself, talking to women anyhow.

on this regards, if he want to have his handle back, he should write a letter of apology and published in nothing less than 10 most popular blogs in Nigeria and Ghana after which access will be given to him.

Nairaland GeneralWhat All Of Us Owe Nigeria by blesseffy(op): 11:38am On Oct 02, 2013
Yesterday i watched loads of Black Berry Display Pictures, Facebook post and messages, emails and Twitter tweets, Blog post etc.

If i was to number them, i think there were more of mockery, complains and criticism, alot of art works, designs and graphics were created to destroy the image of Nigeria, none actually got me very upset like the one my own brother put up, which reads Nigeria Report Card (thank God he was my elder if not i would have given him the slap of his entire life).
I want to specially use this medium to thank all those who used their creativity and knowledge to design something good, prophesy positively into the life of this country.

On a serious note, I am not saying that Nigeria is the best black country to live in, neither i'm i saying that our politicians have kept to their words, we have issues, loads of issues, to start with, i visit mechanic workshop every month to fix one thing or the other caused by bad roads on my car, i get tension each time i had to swing on a pot hole on the road, my cousins doesn't have jobs and can't afford three square meals, most times i see police collect little bribes on the road sides, our LASTMA (Lagos State Traffic Management Authority) sometimes ignore offenders who have paid previously and most time they become very arrogant to people who just missed a very little line, have seen them lie against somebody who didnt cross red light and beat up drivers for just no reason. I'm not 100% at peace in the night because there is always an arm robber event close to my street almost every quarter and the local market close to my street is too dirty. We don't have 24 hours light and i can go on and on.

We have shouted at our politicians, we have fought, we have criticized them, we took to social media to cause our voice to be heard, we have run social campaign against corruption, we have abused and cursed them and their families, we have used all sort of bad sentences and words on them even though most of them aren't our age mate. But the bitter question is, did this help us in anyway, did all these change our situation?

In a business school, i will not forget Mr. Nathaniel Adebayo, he used to tell us, if you apply a particular approach in solving a problem for a year and it's isn't working, try another, there are many ways to solve simultaneous equation and i do also believe that there is always another approach to solving a problem.

If we have been doing all these things and it didn't work, don't you think that it is high time we change gear to doing something else even if it's for a year to see if it works.

And by the way i think we are also contributing to Nigeria's problem, if at all God is answering our prayers then we have caused this country so much pain and bad luck, with our mouth, post and comment we have destroyed Nigeria because if it is not well with our Government (i.e. people in authority) it can never be well with Nigeria.

Pardon me if you are a muslim, because my quote is always going to be culled from the Christian Bible - my Bible tells me that anything we bind on earth will be bind in heaven and that our tongue has the power to destroy and to build, why then have we used our mouth to destroy our own leaders, government and nation, maybe the reason why our leaders are not doing well is due to our curses and negative prophesy on them.

And the funny and unbelieveable truth is, each time we post negative things about Nigeria on the internet, the word spreads and international media get it from us and build opinions, at the end of the day we the citizens are the most affected, Government officials and their children will never be deny VISA, it is US who are going to be screened twice, thrice and maybe the fourth time before we board an Int'l flight, we are the ones suffering from our reactions, we are the ones that is not trusted, we are the loosers at all times, Government officials have int'l credit cards so they can use paypal, we're the one with Nigerian cards who can't shop online, to me my dear citizens we're the fools.

What can we do differently to help ourselves, i think 1st and formost we need to start selling positive Nigeria to the world, pray for Nigeria and it's government, bless our leaders in all our doings and prayers, work harder, think positively, be satisfy with the little we can afford, change our mindset and by so doing, one thing is very sure - Nigeria will be far more better, good LEADERS or not. LET'S DO THIS FOR AT LEAST A YEAR AND SEE IF NOTHING CHANGE

WE OWE NIGERIA, PRAYERS, HARD WORK, LOVE AND RESPECT.

TV/MoviesTV Show Without Make Up by blesseffy(op): 10:22am On Aug 28, 2013
The usual view of tv shows and series we get is over powdered people, sitting on lovely chairs with bright and beautiful background, talking to only celebrities and people in power.

But we discover a show whose interest and characteristics spans beyond feeding us with celebrity news, or sitting in a beautiful environment but going deep into the farm, enriching our lives, teaching one how to make food, how to farm, how to make our fruit in our little garden or big farming more fruitful, it is a practical live series

There has never been a show more interesting in Africa as Shamba Shape Up http://www.twotv.net/shamba-shape-up-mango-farming-hand-pump-and-chicken/

Nairaland GeneralGuest Holds A Big Microphone On A Talk Show In Gambia by blesseffy(op): 9:59am On Jul 26, 2013
The values offered by internet continue to evolve everyday, it is really interesting to sit in Nigeria and see what is going on in other part of the world especially in other African countries.

We met the Fatu Show, the very 1st TV Talk Show on the Gambian TV brought to you by www.twotv.net, though it will be good to note that we enjoyed the interview of those two entrepreneurs especially the one who created an e-commerce store for fruits and vegetables, we also noted that all the items on the shop had local names which is so good. and of course we also appreciate the fashion designer who displayed her beautiful designs on the show while discussing about the Gambian fashion industry.

BUT! we also had a good laugh, surprised to see a TV talk show with microphone for guest, so guest hold the microphone in their hands while talking, that's like too old fashioned for Nigeria, anyway that is why we are the legend of Africa lol.

FamilyRoyal Baby Watch: Kate Middleton In Labour by blesseffy(op): 2:04pm On Jul 22, 2013
Buckingham Palace confirmed Monday morning that the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, went into labour between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. British time. A new bulletin released at about 8:30 a.m said the birth was “proceeding naturally.”

Queen Elizabeth will be the first to hear the news from William on an encrypted telephone line.

The baby will then be announced to the world.

Kate and her husband, Prince William, arrived unseen at the private Lindo Wing, Paddington, with William apparently at the wheel, rather than a police escort. However, there is a large uniformed police presence at the hospital.

Now, the final wait for a baby that will be third in the direct line of succession to Queen Elizabeth begins. When Princess Diana gave birth to William 31 years ago in the same ward, her labour took 16 hours. It is generally thought that first births take longer for a new mother than they do for mothers having the second child.
RomanceHow Chimamanda Is Changing African Ladies Hair With Americanah by blesseffy(op): 12:37pm On Jul 18, 2013
When Chimamanda Adichie launched her book Americanah, people thought it was another fiction story but behold, it turns out to be a story of love with 80% concentration on African woman's hair (Afro Kinky Hair), we were then forced to ask, what is it about African hair anyway, is it the kinky style or the darkness?

Before now, it was only ladies who attends some specific church like Deeper Life, Apostolic Faith etc that grows natural kinky hair but i was surprised immediately after Chimamanda launched Americanah, i went out for some corporate event to find some cool babes flaunting natural kinky hair, i was then forced to asked one of them about it and she said, read Americanah, the next day i ordered America from Konga.com and i rushed it up in just 3 days and before i even finished reading, i had gone to barb my relaxed straight hair off my head and now i'm also growing my natural hair.

The big question remains, what is it about kinky hair anyway? Chimamanda in her different interviews has affirmed that African hair is political.

I'm really loving my hair right now and can't ever think of going back to relaxer for my hair, i feel beautiful, i also attract more admirers now *wink*

Last week i was at Google Africa Summit in Kenya, i was also flaunting my natural kinky hair and feeling ontop of the world before i met this four ladies who are also with their natural hair and proudly Africans, they told me if Chimamanda put it in a book, they are here to translate it into a web series, they want the world to experience the true beauty of an African Woman - It's an adventure

Ladies and gentlemen introducing Afro City Series, tune in and enjoy an adventure of four African ladies, where beauty meets fashion, friendship and passion http://www.twotv.net/introducing-afro-city-series/

Thank me later *wink*

RomanceRe: How Did You Feel The 1st Time Your Brother Introduces His Fiancee To You by blesseffy: 9:49am On Jul 16, 2013
My younger brother's fiancee at the time(now his wife) was a young woman I already knew very well;so, there was lots of joy and happiness when he formally and 'officially' introduced her as his fiancee. It was a great feeling indeed. In this video clip from the webisode of The Number, Lisa's future sister-in-law appears to be a friend to whom she's obviously unwilling to be so related. She chided her brother as he was about to kiss his fiancee;later on, she said to the future bride, "We'll find you a man." The latter's response was, "I've already got a man." Lisa, still without a love interest of her own, already has a co-worker whom she'd prefer to have as a sister-in-law. There is trouble already brewing and I don't see a happy ending to this scenario.
