The plan is not to have anything called Baker Hughes in coming months. Though I don't think the merger will be strong enough to unseat Schlumberger. Their combination will only create a company a little more than half the size of Schlumberger.

Good job bro. Anyone that can study patterns can very easily understand what is going on. However, many of us here just decide to be hyper on something they already know the answer to. The main reason I quietly unfollowed the thread. I beg make una no give una self hypertension, Shell is no one's last bus stop.

I already made a recommendation to those who cared to read. Pretend you did not apply to Shell after taking the online assessments, because if you mistakenly raise your hopes just a tiny bit before you receive a phone interview mail, you may just easily get that hope shattered.

I got my phone interview invite about 9 months after "passing the online test". My mind was already off the job and I was silently waiting for their reject mail.

For now, try and focus on some other recruitment, though I heard Shell is a very good place to work.

My status reads 'Pending Interview'. I applied on Oct. 20, 2014 (the removal date) and took the second assessment on Oct. 23, 2014.

You will be asked questions along the following and expected to give case scenarios for each one of them:

1. Greatest achievement

2. Team work. Soliciting feedback. How you made your team members important and useful

3. Relationship with others

4. Reasons for applying into Shell

5. How you coped under pressure

It will last roughly an hour. Just ensure you have your case scenarios ready, mainly from your own experiences. Be calm. It is quite easy.

my HR status reads "PENDING FINAL ASSESSMENT" since last year December. I had my online test sometime last year May and interview last year September. I'm yet to be invited for SRD. I hope I am not alone?

Yes you're not alone. I know someone with similar ish. They'll most likely roll you guys to 2015 recruitment.

In truth, there is nothing like waiting list, and applications are handled and treated individually. Ultimately, offer is driven by business needs and adequate opening. The thing is as long as you have not gotten a regret, there is every need to be hopeful. Cheers...

Whats the probability of recruiting everybody on the waiting list? I mean successful candidates?

There is and it closed sometimes in August but he said my application remains active. Do you know anyone that resumed recently or scheduled to resume later this year ?

Thats really a long time to wait, and getting ones mind off the company is quite difficult.
Exercise more patience dear, they will surely get back to you.

Well...I waited 9 months after a test for one "coy like that" before I was called for an interview. 8 months after the interview, I am still waiting for the "next phase".
