dfrost: Can Sylva just come back and answer EFCC? Why is he on the run?
Is he really on the run?
I doubt it seriously.
I think we are a very impatient lot.
I am not fan of Timipre. I have met and interacted with him on very close quarters on multiple occasions.
I cannot and however do not hold brief for Sylva but honestly speaking this smacks of political hounding.
His Abuja and Bayelsa residences was broken into and ransacked thoroughly on suspicion of his involvement in a failed coup attempt. Government denies there was a coup.......even though we know better and now he is suddenly declared wanted by the EFCC on Social media.
This is not how serious intelligence works. How about corresponding with him privately, agreeing to a visitation date with him and then following due process.
All I can see here is direct attempt at besmirching the man.
I bought two and imported it directly myself from LG USA . I have been using one of the them, I want to sell the other one. Its brand new, the box has only be opened for testing after it was delivered to me. It has been sealed since then, just opened it now again to take pictures .
Its a very good monitor for software developers, video editors , remote workers e.t.c
You can tilt, swivel , and move it any direction , a truly 360 monitor .
My name is immaculate, and I’m reaching out with hope and sincerity.
A year and eight months ago, I made the bold decision to move from Port Harcourt to Lagos in search of better opportunities and a fresh start. I came with big dreams and a determination to build something for myself — and despite all odds, I was able to secure my own apartment here in Lagos through sheer hard work and perseverance.
However, like many young professionals trying to find their footing, I faced a major setback. The work environment at my last job turned out to be extremely toxic, affecting both my mental well-being and career growth. After much thought, I made the difficult decision to step away in order to protect my health and dignity. Since then, I’ve been actively seeking new opportunities where I can grow, contribute, and thrive in a positive space.
I am specifically looking for a role in the hospitality industry — a field I’m truly passionate about. I love engaging with people, helping guests feel welcome, and contributing to an experience that makes their day better. I believe kindness, patience, and professionalism are key qualities in hospitality, and I bring those to every interaction.
If you know of any openings — front desk, guest relations, housekeeping, customer service, or anything within the hospitality space — I would be deeply grateful for the opportunity to be considered. I’m hardworking, reliable, and ready to start immediately. I’m also willing to learn and adapt to any role given.
📞 You can reach me at: +234 913 651 2356 Moseslmmaculatapaul@gmail.come
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Even if you can’t help directly, a referral or recommendation would mean the world to me.
Warm regards, Immaculate Aspiring Hospitality Professional
Onegai: How about we ignore all the bad advice dished out here and try and communicate like adults, hmmm?
Tell her "babe/madam, I know you are the Ogbongbe Gbana of pricing, after you na you! I like doing these things to please you but when you complain about the price, it's like you don't appreciate my effort. So why not ignore my pocket and praise your baby for thinking of how to please his woman?"
If she complains after that statement, come and report her to me and I give you permission to chase NL girls
(No, I won't give you permission sha, everyone on this site is crazy, myself included).
Your wife thinks she's helping you, she doesn't realize it is hurting your feelings and making you feel unappreciated. So tell her, use your words, you went to school, you can speak
PS: my mum and dad had that same issue almost 40 years ago, over cooking pots. After their talk, she stated going "you paid N20,000 for this meat (which I know is actually N8,000 but I won't mention it)?!! Woooowwww !!!"
Why not come out and say it as its is?
When you go out and you buy a rare perfume for her....does she seek the price tag? When you order fish and chips for her does she ask for the price? You surprise her with a car on her birthday is the first question that props up the price tag?
Varying reasons could account for this very prevalent primordial question;
1. The wife is insecure. She doesnt want her territory encroached upon. You must remain in the dark as regards the cost of homekeeping. 2. She has been programmed to think that you and indeed all other men are terrible bargainers. 3. She thinks that you have too much leverage to deal with the opposite gender.
Please let her understand clearly that whatever you buy from a trip is a gift and should be treated as a gift. Let her not worry that her monthly allowance for housekeeping will be affected in any way.
Dhon11: Yes I agree that proximity is key , but for someone that lives on the mainland and got a job on the island. It's not my fault that I have no place to crash on the island and it's not the company's fault having their offices on the island. Just that I've seen differences in salaries based on both and I can not work on the mainland based on the poor take home. But salaries on the island are higher but to get one is hell, they keep switching off n on. Meanwhile like you said on your previous message, small companies on the mainland needed people but couldn't catch up with the pay. It's way lower, transportation will consume it all and one will be left to nothing at the end of it all.
Now for those on the island, just few companies have apartments for their workers/ staffs , which helps allot because I discovered nearly 50% of those working on the island are living on the mainland and half of them are sleeping on the street.
Ive been there, I couldn't cope and had to come back home after 4 month .
I know it's hard on employers same way it's hard on employees. But they shouldn't just rise people hopes and then let them down at the end of the day
I don't think you are being fair here. The economy is so unstable now that sometimes a sudden shift in policy can within 24 hours jeopardize a companies entire annual trajectory. I've been there Bro. I am now a senior applicant myself.
Just last week there was a major upheaval in the Telecoms sector that will translate into major career maneuvers in that sector. Many lateral realignments will be made and this will include and will definitely not be limited to job cuts or downsizing, transfers, switches and sometimes even new recruitment schedules could be abandoned.
tunapawizzy: Why is keyamo disturbing himself about the video. Something the lady displays by herself all over social media. Abi the oranges dey keyamo eye, e dey vex say now the general public can bid and have access to the same oranges he plans to corner for himself alone
Unlike you...Keyamo sees beyond his nose.
He smells trouble coming from afar.
And if he is half as smart as he is touted to be he knows what to right away.
Dhon11: It's just so sad that one will send dozens of applications out and get no response in return. Even the physical ones will tell you " we will call you " and you wouldn't get a response , while the online interview ones will even take you through the second or third interview and still ghost you.Only jobs that the salary can't put you on track for 12 days will be winking at you because of distance. They will mention proximity as if you should move your house to their street
For the bolded you passed the firs level interview and and passed the second level. You then flunked the third. they are not obligated to revert to you. They should as a matter of courtesy.....but wake up to the reality of the situation. The successful candidate has at this point taken over all the attention. You are no longer relevant. Deal with it.
Proximity is important to both you and the company. You get more value from the salary they offer you if the location is proximate. You also spend less time, energy and effort to get to and fro work. This is also better for your overall health and wellbeing which in turn reflects in your productivity. I think you should cut the employers some slack its not easy for them too.
And then please do not denigrate small salary paying companies. They are the ones providing more than 90 percent of the jobs in this country. Its not easy for them. If you have your doubts then try opening even if it is a small supermarket and you will become a student of Behavioural Science.
IyaTola: I get your frustration, but it’s not always that recruiters are being careless or inconsiderate. The truth is, they often deal with hundreds—sometimes thousands—of applications for a single role, and it’s simply impossible to personally respond to everyone.
Also, some companies have strict HR policies or automated systems that don’t send rejection emails unless the process reaches a certain stage. It’s not ideal, but it’s more about logistics than lack of respect.
While it’s nice to get feedback, the silence isn’t always a deliberate slight—it’s often just the reality of the hiring process.
You presented it just like the champion that you are.
Babaibe: Are people blind or just pretending? The air hostess purposely blocked a paying passenger from getting off the plane after landing. Even if she had an argument with another passenger, does that justify such an inhuman, degrading response? Stripping a grown woman naked in public is not discipline, it is savagery. It is proof that too many in this country wear uniforms but have no trace of humanity. Weere po ni Nigeria — the country is overflowing with lunatics who think authority means brutality. Every one of those involved should face justice and be thrown in Kirikiri Prison where they can reflect on what it means to be human.
This is the second most intelligent post in this entire tirade.
Nobody has given this matter any deep reflection. Unfortunately that is the scourge of this generation. We are so quick to respond....especially when a video is attached. The plane landed and It takes all of 15 minutes for all passengers to disembark from even the smallest commercial jet used by Nigerian Airline operators; the Embraer E170.
Why did the supposedly well trained staff of the Airline not contact security to first arrest her on arrival before other passengers are allowed to drop?
Did you also notice in the video that the air hostesses were ingeniously blocking her from exiting the plane?
Until she decides to hire a really good lawyer you guys can have a field day iterating your opinions. I rest my case.
After all this kind of distraction is what the government would prefer.
Lekby25: To sue the airline for what again, after assaulting their staff. I don't understand. Please enlighten me more
Ha, He, Hee, Huu!
I laugh in Swahili. You obviously are very ignorant of the law.
With a good lawyer who knows only half his onions i assure you that the lady with the flaring boobs is a multi-Millionaire dollar wise. However, she is very ignorant and may not be inclined to hire a lawyer.
I assure you that Ibom Air will reach out to this lady and settle this matter.
This is a truly great opportunity even if she has to serve a jail term for assault before commencing the process.
Ibom Air will pay per click on that video.
Argue with your keyboard or choose to consult a really experienced lawyer.
FriendsAndFans: Regardless if it's an open market, We are just trying to call your attention to some obvious factt. If you don't pay staff we'll enough for the service they render, that's when dishonesty starts to creep in.
Wrong sequence here.
The assumption here is that dishonesty occurs when the reward is poor?
An honest staff will quit an underpaying role rather than steal. On the other hand a dishonest staff will steal no matter how high the salary is. Its anchored on the individual employees value system.
Burshh: I once did a Lagos to Dubai on an A380. It was such a delight to be on that flight. It has stairs leading to the upper deck for the Business and First-class travelers. The in-flight experience was superb.
I don't think the bolded is factual. Emirates does not deploy the A380 on any Nigerian route. Non of our existing airports can host this megamoth of an aircraft.
I have used it to Dallas, JFk and Perth. It is an indescribable experience. The sheer size of this bird is quite intimidating. It gives you the vibe of being in a very large cruise ship.
Obnoxious2001: Get a 12v sachet inverter and a separate charger, it is easier to manage and has low entry cost.
Just incase their might be need to upgrade, it's easier to sell off the inverter (You can work on a swap deal if you buy from people on this thread), battery(obviously can be sold as scrap) and even charger(charger might be what may take a longer time anyway).
If you decide to use a 24v setup, you will be forced to use just 2 units of those batteries or you but an extra one and add to the one not in use
Your contact details is in Morse code.
I've been trying to decode it for several days now.
Tonystory: Please I need an advise, a honest one, a good one, which business can I do with 1 million naira I'm Ogun state area. Please help me that's all I have and I am not ready to waste it
You probably would have attracted more accurate and relatable responses if you had provided context.
Your location, qualifications, experience, prior business exposure, risk appetite etc would have helped tremendously.
However, I can only advise you to seriously consider carefully what you intend to venture into. One million is a lot of money even in this prevailing economy.
Provide more context and based on that I could share a few insights.
adioolayi: Na the way he is making noise about it that is wrong.
What's wrong in informing one of his aides to pass this message in a more civil and quiet manner by reaching out to Peter Obi's camp...instead of all these media drama
Make we no lie, Peter Obi is not just ordinary citizen.. His presence will command loads of people and for security reasons...the State Government should be aware he will be in town.
God forbid, if anything happens to him in that state...won't Nigerians hold the State Government liable So, make the two parties have a gentlemen conversation and solve this issue
The bolded is as should be. There is no electioneering for now at least none directly. Protocol does demand that Peter Obi inform the governor about his impending visits but there is no obligation. The governor and the security agencies also have an obligation to protect Peter Obi and even the followers and non followers alike. Too much ado about nothing. The governor needs to learn that he should not be responding to everything. He should be a very very busy man.
Its not about grammar Sir. You and indeed all of us need to drop our inherited sense of entitlement and deal with reality. We operate an open market situation. If a job does not pay you well you move to a better one....if you can.
In the same vein an employer is within his limits to pay whatsoever he deems fit for the value he expects from that role and he can also choose to sack , elevate/promote any staff depending again on the perceived value.
EngrHumble: No state government has the right to stop any Nigerian citizen from entering their state.
However, in the case of Peter Obi, as a top personality in the country, he is expected to obtain security clearance from the chief security officer of the state, which is the governor.
The governor was right in his comments; it was the media that misinterpreted his statement.
The bolded is inaccurate. Please refer to the relevant constitutional clauses.
Mshad662: But as the chief security officer of the state is he actually wrong? to say to a non-indigine, sir kindly follow these procedures whenever you are planning to visit this state otherwise i can't guarantee your safety.
Indeed he is very wrong,.
He is the Governor of the State. His communication with Peter Obi should have been private and limited to advice. Obi is now a private citizen and can go to anywhere he choses. He may choose to notify the Governor only out of courtesy. The Governor has no right whatsover to to stop any citizen of Nigeria from accessing the state,........unless there is an election going on or he has credible intelligence regarding the visit.
This is at best very puerile. for a public officer of his standing.
Subsea101: Madam abi Oga, my point is the people you are trying to get the drivers for, the people living there can afford to pay the drivers well... stop encouraging morden day slavery
Abi you're after your commission
You do not have the competence to establish what a prospective employer can pay his employee. The fact that someone lives in a particular area doesn't necessarily mean that he can afford to pay a driver above minimum wage. Have you ever heard of squatting? What about the fact that person could be living in a BQ?
If you have done this work as long as I have you will come to terms with the fact that life is perfect. We all get what we deserve. If a a truly committed, dedicated, faithful, professional driver with integrity dripping gets a role where he is underpaid......it will only be for a while as events will unfold and lead him to the exact frequency that matches his vibration.
Everyone gets that they deserve in life. There is nothing like a standard rate for any position. Its all optics,

sleek214: Soludo does not hate Obi, Soludo hates Obi lies... The babalawo wey do the charms for Obi strong walahi, despite all his lies and unintelligent views, about 6 million people still see him as their Messiah..
Soludo has probably never heard the saying about being quite and keep people guessing about your IQ rather than opening your mouth and removing all doubt.
This is a statement any serious and busy governor would have ignored.
Babatunjo: The guy didn't handle it well.. he wasn't supposed to send that reply.. he could have played it cool... That kind of attitude won't get him a high quality woman.
Women also come in different quality grades, just like men...
stacyadams: Hello everyone,a sienna is available, how can it be utilized in transportation business..if you use a sienna your input is highly needed..thank you
Is this still available.....and in Lagos? I could refer you accordingly.
Since last year it has been on blunder after another.
According to you the chap was expelled from UNN on account of poor performance. He is now making another attempt adopting another institution and a totally different course of study and yet you will not let sleeping dogs lie.
Why excoriate the poor guy?
I don't blame you sha! Its the economy.
If the guy had any backing with his apparent brilliance, he would be far away from these shores and pushing his academics in a more objective clime.

OKOATA: Why don't you trick her and the kids to Nigeria then, just seize her passport and forget her or better still just tell her you lost your job and you will be staying at a friend's place for the mean time. That way you can know what to do by staying with a friend or whatever to observe the situation. Tell her you also lost all you had to a business or something like that. That will show you her true colours so prepare for the worse.
Best advice ever.
A friend of mine suffered exactly this experience in Australia. Stoic fellow, he shared his burden with no one. I arrived and took him out and he unburdened his heart. We hatched a plan. It took over a year of deep seated preparations including but not limited to acting out a script that depicted him as the most loving husband ever.
They arrived Nigeria......Benin precisely and all hell was let loose. I cannot share the intimate details but I know she is now teaching in a dilapidated private nursery and primary school somewhere off Airport Road. It will be quite the task for her to complete the block of 4 flats the family started while she was a 'diasporean'. Meanwhile my friend threw a party. he is now married to a wonderful soul who almost worships the very soil his feet touches.
There is only one way out of this quagmire. You got yourself into it. Only you can set yourself free. She must not win ultimately.
magoo10: So what should we be doing with all of this now in the midst of plenty problems facing Nigeria. The uselessness of tinubu APC government is the reason for all this.
This is a very important revelation.
First we can see here how relevant Mr.Omokri was (and perhaps still is till date). Indeed he must have bee so important that Atiku haqd to rely on him in choosing a running mate which is a singularly very strategic decision in the course of seeking votes for the highest office in the land.
Secondly, we can see how unimportant and irrelevant Mr. Peter Obi was in 2019 so much so that he had to send his CV unsolicited to Mr. Omokri despite the fact that Mr. Jonathan his boss had insisted on Mr. Obi who we must emphasize was a grossly unknown entity.
